The intelligence community may grow in size in the near future. The CIA has unveiled a massive overhaul of its website to bolster its recruitment efforts. “The CIA started the New Year with a new look to recruit talented Americans to join the Agency’s foreign intelligence mission,” the federal agency said in a statement released Monday. “With a completely revamped website focused on recruitment, CIA aims to attract talent by creating an engaging, unique, and streamlined experience for applicants.” The new site features a stark and dramatic landing page with a simple message and a bold look. “We are the nation’s first line of defense.

There hoping for big recruitment in three categories: mooselimb terrorists; red chinese spies; and illegal aliens of all sorts.

The truth is there are only a few hundred clandestine agents - spies . Most CIA employees are Northern Virginian bureaucrats who spend their days harassing contractors, going to meetings, planning their work from home days and marking time until retirement. They are usually married to other govees so they live in millions dollar homes in Virginia. They are largely useless.

Since the CIA is anti-American, why do they want Americans?

You got that right -- the CIA is full of all sorts of bureaucrats, whose job is to mess up things and earn a pension.

A number of years ago, I had a chuckle. An old friend of mine, whose son works for the CIA in DC, went to visit his son and while there, they played in the CIA Golf Tournament. Said the funniest part was when they posted the scores, only first names were used.

"I will splinter the CIA in thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds." Guess which president said this?

They would have more luck finding talented Americans if they would expand their recruitment and hiring to more than democrats.

Must mean real Americans, the young starting their careers, don't want to be part of this Anti-American establishment. Sucks the Democrat's domestic spy agency can't get the 'right' people to sign up.

Back in my days in government people who joined the CIA were extremely mission oriented. There was no need to persuade people to join the Agency. The ones I met were inspired. So now the Agency has redesigned their website to appeal to more people and hopefully, persuade them to consider a career. Poor strategy. CIA is not a "job." It's a mission. No persuasion should be required. If you have to do that you will not get the people you truly need to do the job. And I thoroughly agree with poster #3. John Brennan was an aberration. He should never have been hired and promoted up the line.

Why do they have to say they have a "foreign intelligence mission?" That's the only kind they are supposed to have.
Silly me, I thought they had rules.

As long as you are a corrupt, morally vacuous leftist, you will be welcome at the CIA.

Well, with the state of American education, there aren't any talented Americans. Isn't that their goal?

It would be much cheaper to spot good candidates at the next peaceful Antifa riot they foment, or maybe at a Socialist Workers Party rally or a devout Somali cell operating somewhere in Minneapolis, but efficiency never has been the watchword with government bureaucracies.
