House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) signaled that they are open to increasing the amount for the stimulus checks after President Donald Trump threatened to veto the COVID relief bill unless the direct payment was increased to $2,000 per individual.“Republicans repeatedly refused to say what amount the President wanted for direct checks. At last, the President has agreed to $2,000—Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it!” Pelosi wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

They 're just adding to the debt. They probably don't give a damn that all debts must eventually be paid back. Their ancestors did it by murdering the debt holder... and let that be a forewarning for you.

Its pretty clear that nobody has any intention of paying off the debt. When it gets too high to sustain they will just cancel it. What can anyone do about it? Same thing we can do about election stealing and blackmailing a Chief Justice. Not a darned thing.

Once again the networks are the only reason they can be so blatant about it. The filthy networks don't report on the outrageous amount of money given away or stolen for every enemy of America foreign and domestic. Maybe they would all be ducking rocks if everyone knew they are GIVING Egypt 1.3 billion and Sudan $700,000,000. Ok, some sort of mideast bribe for peace money or something, but 1 billion for the Smithsonian? It's a great set of museums, but are you kidding me? Taxpayers lose their jobs and are FORCED to close their businesses and foreign countries get billions, as well as a museum that the taxpayer can't even visit?
That's not a story only stories about how difficult President Trump is being in the face of unprecedented election crimes.

After all the pork has been revealed in this monstrosity, the President should insist on a stand alone bill. Nothing that is not directly related to the COVID stimulus should be in it. I would like to see the President make a speech to that effect with a large board listing every obscene amount that is going to foreign countries and ridiculous organizations that have nothing to do with the COVID virus. Just put the facts out there for everyone to see. The American people know the political leadership of both parties in Washington DC are corrupt. It’s time to put it out there in black and white. This atmosphere of self-serving corruption must be exposed. Let them answer some questions from the A,Eric an people. After all, who do they serve their constituents or foreign countries? Expose them. I don’t care what party they are in. There is no justification for gender studies in Pakistan. Yes, I am looking at you, Lindsey Graham. Your defense of this massive give away while our own people are suffering is reprehensible.

First of all, I'm not for this stimulus bill at all. Just open up the nation and let small business get back to work. But if it must be done, throw out all the padding of money for special interests and foreign countries. These special interests and foreign countries have NOTHING to do with our COVID. If done, the new stimulus bill will be smaller then the original $900 Billion.
President Trump said that he wanted the special interests and foreign countries out of this bill. He wanted it for the U.S. people.

When you go to Disneyworld, you quickly have to suspend reality when it comes to money and costs of things. We haven't been there in 20 years, but even then, prices were shocking.
Lunch for four at the Rain Forest Cafe was 100 dollars, and the waitress brought the printed bill with a 15 per cent gratuity automatically added, plus a space for the tip, and when I handed her cash, she said, "Do you want your change?"
We have entered a Disneyworld governance.
All I can do is sit back and enjoy - and purchase gold coins with the free money.

First, STRIP OUT the foreign aid! This is a COVID bill, not payments from very hard-working .American taxpayers!
Second, the Golden Goose has been stopped from earning money, OPEN OUR BUSINESSES, e.g., restaurants. They will thrive when citizens have earned money by working to pay for services such as food and travel.
We cannot afford to finance the rest of the world. Teach them to fish, as in earn your own way, provide for your own lives.
Third, stop with the “studies / research” projects that only enrich participants and accomplish nothing at all!

The real story is the offsets that will be needed to accommodate the $2000 individual grants. Legislators were given only a couple of hours to digest a 5600 page document, so most of them probably didn't know what they were voting on. Now that the outrageously dirty details are starting to come out, it looks to me like they should start over from scratch.

Then the Dems will have not only tried to use our money to fund their socialist agenda (and prop up foreign countries at our expense), they will have stolen $2000 from the pocket every American. Keep in mind that every dump of money on a foreign country is the setup for kickbacks, direct and indirect. The corrupt Democrats-- and Republicans-- are actually paying themselves via the stimulus bill.
Washington is a pig sty, a swamp, Augean stables. I never dreamed the corruption was so vast until I saw the AG come right out and approve the theft of an election, and the Supreme Court show themselves to be utter cowards. What a disgrace for all of them except Alito and Thomas, but especially the three Trump nominated and fought for-- Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Barrett! I loathe the Democrats, but I feel even more contempt for the Republicans. Watch the video of President Trump explaining the stolen election and you see one courageous man making a stand against a horde of villains.

Consider this: a $900B stimulus bill, divided by 300M people, should result in $3K per person. If SOME people (not all) are to get $600 per person, where is the rest of the money going ? Much of it is going overseas. Exactly hoe does sending money to Pakistan help the average American who has lost their job due to government edicts ?

Some math to consider:
300,000 people x $600 = $180,000,000 $2,000,000,000 - $180,000,000 = $1,820,000,000
Only 9% would be for Covid relief for the people. For every $100 of debt per person, they would get $9.
Who would get the other $91 ?
This is Pelosi's and the Democrat's idea of "significant" relief. Heaven help us!

We have a Congress that has not submitted or passed a budget in almost forever. It is one of their most important duties. American Citizens of all stripes should demand that Congress submit a budget for approval, after being made available for taxpayers to peruse. Also taxpayers should scream until Any spending package or budget gives the President the power of Line Item Veto. If Congress can't submit a clean bill. then the President should have the duty.
