New Study Shows Mask Mandates Had Zero
Effect in Florida or Nationwide, But the Lie

Obviously, no amount of evidence, data, trends, facts, studies, or science will ever convince most ‘public health officials’ that masks aren’t doing squat to stop the spread of COVID-19. Cases and deaths continue to spike (yes, many of these are super-sensitive PCR test-driven numbers, but still) despite the fact that well over 90% of the country are complying with their absurd mandates. Yet, predictably, the virus keeps going right on virusing, as highly contagious respiratory viruses, unfortunately, tend to do, especially once cold weather hits. Nevertheless, those of us who are mask skeptics have a difficult chore in front of us.

I think masks may do more harm than good... thieves love them, those with respiratory problems hate them. Death rates appear no higher than any other year. But just try going without and the general popu-lemmings will glare, insult, and ostracize you. Mask sellers are glad of this. Silly people (think Pelosi) are using them to gain attention... will masks ever go away again and let us Breathe Free??

Masks are political tools used by the democrats to control us. We were told how small this virus was when it first appeared. Now you do not hear any talk of that because it is clear that it can travel right through a mask. Government was serious they would now allow us to touch anything even with gloves we can spread the virus. Clearly, there is little we can do other than social distancing and holing up in our homes to really protect us. Mask are a symbol of submission and intimidation and fear. And that is exactly where they want us. Fearful to the point that we will do anything they say. We are being manipulated by our government, unelected bureaucrats and our fellow citizens who feel justified to loudly confront us. Are we safer because of their use? I despise them because they prevent fresh air coming through them. They are a real hindrance for many of us with breathing issues. They have to be filled with germs also. How can that be healthy. Because of them I go out very little but have been venturing out more during the Christmas Season but it is miserable. You just cannot connect with people when we cannot see each others faces. Speech is muffled. And I cannot bear to see my fellow Americans submitting to this insanity. It seems to me the more we mask up, the more cases we have. Don’t even get me started on the testing...oy.

Amen #6 on testing. I know NO ONE who has been tested who doesn't have the crud, even if they have no symptoms. On my way thru town, there is a message board with messages telling me to social distance, cover my mouth when I cough, wear a mask. Small signs in yards say the same thing. You can't get away from it. I was in Florida in October and November. In all that time, I was in ONE store where masks weren't required. I had read the state had 'opened' but it didn't seem that way. Restaurants were open but you had to wear a mask to get in and be seated.

Yes, Florida is technically open, but counties still have mask mandates and occupancy limits in stores. Gov. Desantis needs to get rid of all the mandates and promote what actually does work - washing hands and distancing.

my concern with the masks has to do with wearing the same mask for an extended period of time - all day, for example, on one's shift at a store. The mask will be slightly moist and slightly warm, the perfect host for a random bacterium, allowing the bacterium to survive and thrive. And it can infect the mask wearer. We could see a pandemic of Legionnaire's disease, which exists in exactly that kind of environment.

At first I thought there is no way the mask manufacturers have the kind of lobby to influence this, but if they are subsidiaries of mega-corporations that DO have a strong lobby, then here we are. I live in a red area with no mandate, and you STILL see 98% compliance. But there are ways to "wear" them without "wearing" them that keep most people off your back.

Of course it’s about control, not health. Here in Texas Governor Abbot re-enacted the mask mandate when we had a “case” spike. A lot of conservatives have been very disappointed in that single edict. His FB page gets barraged with criticism over masks. Now the data is out. Masks do more harm than good. Breathing ones own toxins is harmful. Just smell the inside of the mask after a days wear. Smells like bat poop. At 69 years of age, I get a little nauseated from wearing a rag over my nose and mouth. Factually, covid is 50-200 nanometers in size. A sheet of paper has a thickness of 100,000 nanometers. Kind of like keeping out mosquitoes with barbed wire. Now they tell us get the vaccine and continue the masks? Makes you want to move to South Dakota.

I have NEVER worn a mask and never will. I get panic attacks if my face is covered. Don't know why - just do. My background is math and science or if you will, logic. It never made sense to me that a piece of cloth will let smells that have molecules about the size of covid through, but would stop covid? Yes there are very good masks that are made for this, but not the cloth variety that everyone wears.

Masks are a joke. There are no standards on the type of mask to wear. No standards on the material, thickness/thinness, length of time to wear a mask before it becomes contaminated, etc. Every flu season for the past several decades - no requirements to wear a mask. Nothing. H1N1 under Obama - again - no talks, nothing. 99.7% of the people who contact this virus have little to no symptoms and ill effects. This is not the Black Death.

While I do not personally BELIEVE that masks do any good, the article sort of misses the mark in how it parses the data. Raw number of cases per day before and after masks mandates (or a parallel comparison in RAW case numbers between counties/states) is not the best way to analyze this. What we REALLY need to know if masks work is a plot of the RATE of growth before and after in a county or state that implemented mask mandates. Raw case numbers might reveal something, but it could be a cart and horse thing too as those counties with the most cases WILL BE the ones that are more prone to making people wear masks. I think Morefield's analysis is frankly inconclusive. I suspect he is right based upon the Danish study of 6000 people that showed a .3% improvement in the masked arm, meaning masks helped about 1 our of every 300 who were made to wear them in terms of COVID-19. I suspect these people got more infections overall however as masks are pretty nasty after a very short while.

In Florida you need a mask for entrance into various venues, like Walmart, most public offices, and certainly any hospital or medical facility. In those locations, and in those mandated locations only, I will don a Trump 2020 mask without covering my nose. Wearing a nasty hankerchief around your nose accomplishes nothing but cutting off your breathing, exposing yourself to breathing back in the germs your immune system has expelled to protect you. And please stop trying to talk through those masks. No one can hear or understand the mumbles. The mask hides all facial expression, and no one has any idea what you are saying or referring to. Also, no one has elected you to tell other people where to stand, which direction to go, whether they can come or go, leave their homes, go to work, attend school, visit the aged, or their families. No one has elected you to replace their doctors with your medical advice. No one has elected you to make policies, while you spend years studying the data to find out what should be done.

This is the result of giving little people power. I reside in a small housing community in Fl. Our BOD has taken this to the extreme ordering us to wear masks whenever we leave our homes. Their meeting to lay down these diktats are not open to the residents, so they can safely pass down their edicts without having to endure protests. I grew up getting in trouble for doing anything I'm asked, but little I'm told. This has not changed, much to the dismay of the BOD. I own my house, and the land it sits on. I'm pretty much banned from the amenities, such as the pool and the Pub, but when I go outside the gates, life is pretty much normal. I will ride this out, and take down my Christmas lights, and Trump signs on Jan 6th.

It's been about 9 months now ... so everyone who refused to wear a mask should be dead by now, no? Why not? Because wearing a mask now is a political statement about "caring" --- and not a real statement about anyone's health. Simple test: Put on the mask you think might be effective. Now make a pot of coffee and stand back. If you can smell the coffee --- your mask isn't working! The molecules of coffee you can smell are between 10 and 20 times BIGGER than the virus. When I was in Costco I walked down the aisle with laundry detergent and could easily smell it. Hardly keeping out the virus thingy! Plus --- they claim you can get this virus through your eyes --- which are totally unprotected by a nose/mouth mask.

Another waste of money. There was absolutely no reason to have a study on this matter. Ask any doctor who's being honest, and they'll tell you only certain types of masks are any good, and even those only for a short people of time. Every other kind of mask is utterly useless. It's a feel good measure that does absolutely no one any good.

One of the most despicable things about the Biden administration is that, even as it doubles and triples down on the COVID restrictions it wants for Americans, it’s utterly unconcerned about the diseases flooding across the border along with the illegal aliens Biden is unconstitutionally welcoming in. The president and CEO of Greyhound Lines, though, is demanding that, at the very least, its workers and other passengers get protected from the COVID so many illegal aliens bring with them. From the start of his campaign, Biden weaponized the Wuhan virus against Trump. Informed and intelligent people realized very quickly that Trump was moving with extraordinary rapidity

Biden has issued Executive Orders that ban enforcing immigration law while simultaneously inviting in a new wave of illegal immigrants. These EOs also suspend deporting illegal immigrants, even those awaiting trial for felonies and other serious crimes, and signal that all new arrivals will be eligible for social benefits such as healthcare. Cesar Chavez’s struggle in the 1970s and ‘80s can help explain the impact this will have on labor markets in general and working-class Americans in particular. Chavez understood that illegal immigration diminishes workers’ earning power.

It began with throw pillows. Pillows shouldn't matter much, but like every decision we make now, they matter more than you think. The old sofa had to go. It had lasted 25 years, by some miracle. The old sofa was U.S.-made. Only 20% of today's furniture is. It was expensive; the store owner told us we'd be able re-upholster it down the road, though that would be expensive, too. He was right on both counts. He retired. His kids run the store now. We managed to find a new sofa, also made here. A different color. So we needed throw pillows.

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
