Mayor Pete's latest move signals his political journey may be just beginning. Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, has never worked in Washington, D.C., nor has he ever led a large agency. But on Tuesday, Buttigieg was nominated to lead the nation’s transportation department with roughly 55,000 employees and a budget worth tens of billions of dollars. It's not a bad gig for a guy who appears to lack a political path forward in Indiana. Although not an unusually high-profile cabinet position for a former top-tier presidential candidate, pundits say Buttigieg’s nomination for transportation secretary would boost the

Heels-up Harris hasn’t given up her Senate seat so I hope Buttgig has a plan B since there may not be any job openings for them in the new Trump administration.

Yeah. Like being a Sec of Trans or a cabinet person is a natural stepping stone to the Presidency. Just ask Pres Julian Castro.

Now that presidential aspirations are as close as a computer hack from Iran or Venezuela, there are quite a few people who may now be in the running, even people suffering from dementia. You don't even have to campaign anymore.

He did such a great job running South Bend(over) Indiana that I can't wait to see him fill every pothole in America over a few years span.

Pete Buttigieg’s father Joseph Buttigieg, a Maltese national, founded the eponymous Antonio Gramsci Society which is dedicated to study of the life and works of the Italian Communist. Buttigieg Sr. translated Gramsci’s “Prison Notebooks” into English in order, one would presume, to allow Americans, Canadians, Australians and the rest of the Anglosphere to read how Gramsci prescribed the destruction of their societies to be replaced by the bleak and murderous political fantasies of a 19th Century wastrel and sociopath. Gramsci’s prescription for Communists to infiltrate soft structures that inform societal mores such as education, religion, media, entertainment and local government has succeeded almost thoroughly. Almost.
Does his father’s lifelong admiration of a radical Leftist disqualify Pete Buttigieg from serving at the federal level? No. But his appreciation for his father’s enthusiasm for Communism can be argued using Pete’s own quotes and actions.
Buttigieg Jr. will surely have an important seat in an illegitimate Biden presidency, should it take power, but with Texans speaking openly and seriously about secession and with rumblings all over the country Pete might do well to dust off volumes of photographs by Mathew Brady and Alexander Gardner to see what Americans will suffer should they be forced to live under a corrupt government they did not choose. He’s at least smart enough to do that.

I don't care about anyone's sexual preference, as long as it's not pushed in my face. Let's be honest here: the lefties can now check the gay box. That's this twit's only qualification. Since it's been pushed in my face I'll push back: his last name will always be Buttplug to me.

I'm sure this gig is what Petey was promised if he'd drop out of the race against Old Joe. A Cabinet-level post in a department so obscure that his failures won't make the headlines is a great resume-enhancer.
As #8 points out, Communism runs in Petey's family, so this glib, ambitious poser has to be kept from the levers of power.

These picks by Biden are all diversity selections without any or much experience to quality the nominees for those jobs. I’m with poster #2 on Mayor Pete.
