Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes the Democratic Party needs new leaders. The progressive firebrand said it's time for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to go — but warned of a power vacuum that could be filled by "nefarious forces" who are "even more conservative" than the caucuses' current leaders during a podcast interview on "The Intercept" that aired Thursday. "I do think we need new leadership in the Democratic Party," Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said. "I think one of the things that I have struggled with, I think that a lot of people struggle with, is the internal dynamics

AOC is right about the need for new dim leadership but is unaware that the vacuum already exists between her ear rings.

She's right, but therein lies the Democrats' problem. For too long, they've sacrificed possible future leaders on unpopular leftist projects like Obamacare, so they've got the very young commie/socialists like the squad, or the geriatric set like Pelosi, Hoyer, and Clyburn.

I almost can't wait to see AOC run in the primaries against Chuck U. Schumer. Might want to send the barmaid a $20 tip for her campaign.

Speaking out with faulty "Filter" is another problem which even E-95 masks fail to mitigate.
It's good to know that this is a bipartisan affliction.
Both Donald and AOC share a charming naivete (Covfeffe ?) in spite of their advocacy for opposing causes.

The problem would not be a power vacuum. The problem now is a moral, honesty and decency vacuum in the Democrat party that wants totalitarian power.

AOC is 100% correct in calling for new leadership in the Democrat Party. Her reasoning and solutions to the Democrat problems however, are way way way way way wrong! She thinks they need to move more left (if that is possible). The need to move more to the center or just become semi-reasonable in their goals. The leaders they need do not exist or are too weak and afraid to step up.

We all saw articles this past couple of years quoting disgruntled young democrats, especially in Cali, who want new and younger people and ideas. Not continuation of the elderly and tired ideas that haven't changed since Nixon. Those younger democrats need to stop being such sheep and start taking control of their party if they want change. I hope they don't, but if they want to prove to the rest of us they are adults, they need to.
