One of the amazing things we learned in 2020 is that the novel coronavirus can’t infect people who attend Black Lives Matter protests. Science!
Apparently the seasonal influenza is even more considerate, at least at Cornell University.
The Ivy League school offers a race-based exemption from its new mandatory flu shot, requiring only white students to get immunized before returning to the area.

Wait until the black student wants to get on a plane. No way, it does not matter what color your skin is. Airlines are not going to let him/her on.

I thought the covid/flu disproportionately affected people who are not white. Are you trying to kill off all the black folks, Cornell?

These universities need to stop the "race" thing. It's getting old. If a person wants to get the vaccine, get the vaccine, if they don't, don't. It doesn't matter what color the skin tone. They sound SO dumb it's embarrassing.

Of course, this is illegal under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, which provides for the payment of a successful plaintiff's attorney's fees from the losing defendant. Should be a bird's nest on the ground for any hungry lawyers out there.

For decades academia kept its racism under covers. Giving blacks and latinos preference in admission, for instance. Giving scholarships and awards preferentially to blacks and latinos. But the racism has become more and more blatant, in-your-face. The whole "white privilege" thing, for instance. Seminars on whites as racists. Campus events excluding whites. And here is one more example, an immunisation policy based explicitly on skin color.
What can we conclude from our learned class? That racism is bad-- the worst crime-- if you are white. But racism is good-- even necessary-- if you are black.
Do we need to clean out the Augean stable of tenured commies and racists?

10, you are referencing the 1991 Civil Rights Act, which technically was a set of amendments to the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
George W. Bush talked about 'the soft bigotry of low expectations.' Cornell is offering an expansion of that kind of thinking.
And Orville Faubus, George Wallace, and Robert Byrd together, could not come up with something more harmful to blacks.

Cornell is not really a school of higher learning or they would have looked at data. In my state of 6.5 million I stopped my China virus spreadsheet in mid September as a waste of my time. Back then 72% of the population is caucasian and there were 320 deaths with virus outside nursing homes. Blacks are 13% of the overall poplulation with 340 deaths while "other" ethnicity (I can only assume asian and latino) was 15% of the population with 410 deaths. So is a proclamation like an educated decision? Nope!

I don't know how to take this. Do they think the vaccine is dangerous and its OK to kill White kids? Or, since people of color are more susceptible, they can kill them off by not vaccinating them?

Interesting report yesterday from two heads of Pfizer research, Dr.s Mike Yeadon and Wolfgang Wodarg, who are publicly stating that the Pfizer vaccine could cause women to become sterile.
Donning my conspiracy theory hat - this side effect fits quite nicely with the plans of the globalist greeney population experts.
I find it rather disturbing. I'm grateful that these two men are speaking out.

If a significant number of white Cornell students announced that they were changing schools, the policy would be reviewed and rescinded.
Thinking like a racist leftist (very difficult and demeaning to do) their logic may be that if one black student has an adverse reaction to the vaccine there would be hell to pay from the black community. Better to let the white students take the risk and the blacks, by default, reap the benefits of the immunity.

Ditto poster #2... my first thought when I read this was... that will leave black students open to the flu...having had the flu one season... I never want that to happen again....another example of segregation by the leftie elites....what the hell are they thinking?... this is dangerous....the flu kills thousands every year....or is it just a sick desire to be anti white priviledge....

But I thought that minorities were being attacked by all these viruses at a higher rate than the rest of us. So that means the college will not require a vaccine for them? That makes no sense to me.

FTA: It’s not to protect students from the flu, the FAQ reads, but so that “medical services and other support resources can be fully available to serve students who may be exposed to COVID-19” (an infection that threatens very few of them).
This is a dangerous 'mandate' to force medical 'availability' on students who may not need it and gives them no say so in the matter. And SPECIFICALLY removes that option from the student ONLY if they are White!! It's not really a mandate then, is it. It's something more sinister.

They cannot legally require that. It violates the EEOA of 1974. This discriminates against people based on race.

I so not care one way or another. Let people do what they will do if they aren't hurting someone else.
But as above poster said, say only mandatory for whites. And is white privilege due to slow/no supply and guess who will be demanding it?
Call the vaccine Sanger 2. EEO2? Tribal mentality slow to go even after generations due to conspiring men like LBJ-a democrat.
