Though Joe Biden may indeed be a Catholic, he directly opposes church teaching on grave moral matters, especially abortion. As a public servant committing a public sin, church teaching stipulates that he should be denied access to the sacrament of Holy Communion until he repents. However, D.C. Cardinal Wilton Gregory has said he will administer Holy Communion to Joe Biden in the spirit of dialogue; former Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput disagrees.Writing for First Things, Chaput argued that denying Joe Biden the sacrament of Holy Communion would be the most pastoral action, while acknowledging the importance of exercising prudence to avoid a public spectacle.

Excommunicated. The word is excommunicated. With bell, book, and candle if necessary.

Forget giving him Holy Communion. I'd love to see a public spectacle where biden, hitlery and many other demoncrats get an exorcism.

MA democrats just passed the Roe bill protecting the abortion industry. Many legislators are nominal catholics.

Forgive me, but there are some bishops who should be denied Holy Communion for endorsing Biden for President.

The Pope is not Catholic either. What's the big deal?

I cannot wait until the Pope puts the entire USA on interdict (essentially excommunicating the entire country) because we elect such wicked people. That is what we deserve.

#8 The big deal is that the reception of the Holy Eucharist is a Sacrament, and there are people all the time who do not know that, so they go up and receive sacrilegiously. I do not blame them. I blame those who do know and do not care, and their indifference teaches others not to care either. They never teach The Truth.

I have seen so much going on in churches for years that I get it. Churches (especially Catholic - prove me if I am wrong) do not require congregation members to read their Bibles. As a result, we have people running around leaning on their own understanding. There are churches that do require reading the Bible but they have such watered-down versions, those congregation members are also leaning on their own understanding.
Given that Archbishop Wilton Gregory will still give Joe Biden communion, I am willing to make this statement: it is getting to be that you can't tell the difference between church leadership and a corrupt politician. They all know Joe Biden declared having the most extensive fraud system in place and have not spoken. Church leadership knows this goes again the Ten Commandments and God's way of living. Silence and corruption? It is becoming the way of life rather than God's way of life.

Wilton Gregory is part of the lavender mafia. So, the Pope elevates him to cardinal??? I am exhausted with the current disfunction in the Catholic Church and with the current election mess. Despite all that, I get up everyday with a grateful heart. Some days it's difficult.

The penalty for Joe should be more painful than just ex-communication as he is trading babies for votes.

Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Sotomayor, all of the Kennedys and there are 12 Catholic demonrats in the senate and 65 Catholics demonrats in the House.
Every one of them should be excommunicated.

However, D.C. Cardinal Wilton Gregory has said he will administer Holy Communion to Joe Biden in the spirit of dialogue;
What does that mean?
Does it mean that he will give Joe Biden the Blessed Sacrament just to get along with him?
That's what it sounds like to me.
How did this man become a Cardinal.?
If I am correct and he is passing out the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ to someone just to get along he is the antithesis of every martyr through the years who stood up for their religion.
He is leading Catholics astray.

I agree that persons who are living sinful lives should not participate in Holy Communion. But many Catholics who support abortion and other things the Church forbids do take communion. This is an issue for Catholics, obviously, but ultimately it is up to the individual to decide if they should participate. I'm sure God does not look favorably on people who just go through the motions on Sunday without regard to the actual lives they are living.

Archbishop Chaput used to be the bishop in Denver. He’s smart and tough. It doesn’t surprise me that he’d be the one to Hold Biden’s feet to the fire. Every Dem politician who agrees with abortion should be excommunicated.
As for Biden: he already know he sold his soul to the Devil a long time ago, and will face the fires of Hell for it.

Interesting data point that happens to confirm my own bias. But as FORMER Philly Archbishop, Chaput's view on the matter is as moot as yours or mine.

Knowingly administering holy sacraments to an unrepentant sinner is not "dialogue"...it's hypocrisy. The murder of millions is what some might consider mortal sins.
