Facebook has de-prioritized removing hateful slurs against white people, men and Americans, instead focusing on blocking slurs against black people, gays, Jews and other groups. The change on Thursday in Facebook's algorithm is a shift from the social network's 'race-blind' system that previously removed anti-white insults as well posts such as 'men are dumb' or 'Americans are stupid.' [SNIP] 'We know that hate speech targeted towards under-represented groups can be the most harmful, which is why we have focused our technology on finding the hate speech that users and experts tell us is the most serious,' said Facebook spokeswoman Sally Aldous.

Simple solution to this arrogant BS by that little punk Zuckerberg. Everyone leave Facebook and all at once.. If all white people and Trump supporters do this Facegarbage will be out of business in a year and good riddance. We really do have this power because at the end of the day we are the customers who keep Facebook solvent. Seems like a pretty good business opportunity for someone to set up an alternative to Facebook exists right now.. The sheer hubris of these Social Media so-called tycoons is beyond belief.. They will fall hard and fast.

Unfortunately, FB is right now the best vehicle for local and family news. But, I don't have to buy anything that is advertised and can (or so they say) stop advertisements of individual companies. Takes a little more time but worth it. Let the advertisers know you aren't buying.

Are these people as important as they think they are? If you’re really going to form opinions based on what you see on Facebook and Twitter it’s really no different than listening to or believing network news or God forbid CNN. They’re all singing from the same hymnal. Either you are a reasonably intelligent human being or you are a flaming idiot who will believe anything. That is the true division in America.
