MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell dinged the Biden team Monday for their lack of transparency about the president-elect's foot injury over the holiday weekend. (Snip) On Monday, Mitchell pointed out that it "wasn't until Sunday" that the White House press pool found out Biden was "going somewhere," which ended up being a visit to the doctor. She suggested it should not have taken so long for the public to find out. "They weren’t as forthcoming as you would hope they would be with the press pool that’s supposed to cover him," the NBC News correspondent said. PBS NewsHour White House correspondent

She has rather selective outrage. The whole story has a 'my dog ate my homework' vibe.

Back when Obama was first campaigning for POTUS, Mitchell asked some reasonable question about a typical Stinky disconnect. Mitchell had a prime seat on the top tier press chase plane. Mitchell found herself demoted to a secondary press plane, slapped down. Since that, she conspicuously toed the line and became one of the worst of slavering lapdogs. She seems to have forgotten that lesson, she'll get back on board starting....now.

Gee, a simple foot injury and Old Frail Joe can't be seen, back in purdah? And the media has the nerve to complain after their usual suckups? Methinks it's far more serious, given that he's on blood thinners: ---his doctors are thinking he could throw a clot --he broke something more serious like an arm or hip --he hit his head and he's being monitored for complications --the fall has increased his confusion

Switzerland is emerging as a model for how the coronavirus can be contained without a national lockdown, after daily new infections halved since the start of November despite pubs, restaurants, gyms and sports remaining open in much of the country.
