A gathering of about 50 business owners and their supporters inside an Orchard Park gym shut down by Covid-19 restrictions turned into a confrontation with Erie County authorities Friday night. The owner of the gym, Athletes Unleashed on California Road, described the gathering as a protest of the state's "orange zone" regulations that have closed gyms, salons and other businesses deemed nonessential. (Snip) The confrontation showed frustrations bubbling as the Covid-19 pandemic stretches into a ninth month and new restrictions shut down schools and certain businesses in much of Erie County amid a second wave of coronavirus infections. Businesses are at their breaking point. If it were a BLM melee would authorities be shutting them down?

The press of course are waiting with 'bated breath to report that 15 of the 50 business owners have now tested POSITIVE and will forget to follow up that all 15 were healthy and on their feet 3 days later. This does not bode well for the next health crisis which may actually be a health crisis. Something about the governors who cried WOLF.

Looking at history, we find that in centuries past, once taxation levels reached about 10% the tax collectors started to fail to return...just disappearing. There are limits. Just sayin' that maybe people are reaching their limits of how much tyranny they will put up with.

When we the people have had enough, there will be lots more of this. One thinks of Hong Kong taking to the streets by the millions over Chinese over-bearing restrictions. Funny how Covid ended that as well. When the powers that be start telling folks they can’t provide a living for their family, there will be consequences. We’re reaching a boiling point.

If Anthony Fauci made another dramatic plea about COVID and nobody listened, would he really make a sound?
