In my last column, I noted the many “red flags” that have popped up regarding the 2020 presidential election.
I won’t repeat that litany, except to say the appearance of impropriety is at least suggestive and, if you are the worrying sort, potentially damning.
It’s partly a matter of what I think of as the Goldfinger principle, after the avid gold smelter and nuclear weapons amateur Auric Goldfinger.
Goldfinger was a sensitive man. He didn’t like it when people began looking into to his business ventures with too much curiosity, largely, no doubt, because many were ostentatiously illegal and, in some cases, evidence of grandiose homicidal insanity.

CNN analyst Mary Katherine Ham caused a great disturbance in the CNN energy on Saturday's Newsroom by decrying liberal double standards on COVID and conceding elections.
Anchor Ana Cabrera began by expressing disgust at the MAGA protests: "Ryan, the president's supporters, they have poured into the streets of Washington this weekend to try to give life to these unfounded and baseless claims of a rigged election. We literally had far right groups like the Proud Boys marching down Pennsylvania Avenue. This election is over. How did this become normal?"
Politico's Ryan Lizza replied it's "because the president has decided to delegitimize the crystal clear results of the election."

Dr. Scott Atlas, a special adviser the novel coronavirus to President Trump, tweeted to his almost 90,000 followers on Sunday that citizens should rise up against new Michigan COVID-19 restrictions.
He tweeted Sunday night: “The only way this stops is if people rise up. You get what you accept. #FreedomMatters #StepUp”
He later followed up with a tweet to state he didn’t condone violence: “Hey. I NEVER was talking at all about violence. People vote, people peacefully protest. NEVER would I endorse or incite violence. NEVER!!”
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s administration on Sunday ordered high schools and colleges to stop in-person classes, closed restaurants to indoor dining and suspended organized sports —

Democrat Joe Biden was called out on Saturday for his silence as left-wing extremists that journalists identified as being affiliated with Black Lives Matter and Antifa attacked pro-Trump demonstrators in Washington, D.C., who had gathered to show their support for President Donald Trump.
Various public figures called out Biden after he repeatedly campaigned on “unity” and “healing” America. The Democratic Party tweeted on Saturday that Biden would “restore the soul of this nation and bring us together.”Most of the violence happened at night after the majority of Trump supporters had left the area after the “Million MAGA March,” which featured a brief appearance by the president.

Election Day 2020 was unusual for several predictable reasons involving high in-person turnout and veritable avalanches of mail-in ballots. One exceptionally odd event, however, took everyone by surprise — vote counting suddenly stopped for hours in several key swing states late Tuesday night. One of these mysterious halts occurred in Fulton County, Georgia, where election officials insisted that a broken water pipe necessitated a four-hour delay before counting of absentee ballots could resume. Yet evidence for what would have been quite a serious plumbing issue has been strangely elusive. There doesn’t appear to be any paperwork involving this leak.

Earlier today my RedState colleague Nick Arama reported that House GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is speculating that Nancy Pelosi may no longer have the votes in the House Democrat caucus to remaining Speaker of the House.A few days ago, when the late-deciding House races started to go against the Democrats, I wrote this story about the possible implications coming out of the House Democrat Caucus conference call where fingers of blame were being pointed over the losses that were suffered by various incumbents who had faced difficult races.
The news has not improved for Pelosi since I wrote my earlier story — in fact, it has gotten worse

Ron Klain, the long-serving aide to former Vice President Joe Biden who was named White House chief of staff Wednesday in the event his boss is certified as the winner of the election, tweeted in 2014 that he believed American elections are rigged.
Klain’s tweet came in response to a tweet by Vox.com that reported that 68 percent of Americans believe our elections are rigged:(Snip)The accompanying article said that Americans were right to suspect elections were “rigged” — because of what was legal:

As far as almost all of the mainstream media and the half of the country that voted for Joe Biden is concerned, President Donald Trump and his supporters are sore losers. The president's refusal to accept the projections of media vote counters that he has lost the election, as well as his claims that the election is being stolen from him, is being put down as more than just poor sportsmanship. He is accused, along with many of the 71 million Americans that voted for him, of spreading "disinformation" about claims of voter fraud about officials in Democratic-run cities and states allegedly wrongly influencing the count

Elections don’t make democracies; free and fair elections do. Today, in the midst of post-election chaos, we find ourselves in a fight for the latter. In that sense, this election is about far more than Donald Trump the man, or even his policies. The question is this: either democracy survives or one political party will be allowed to bully, lie, cheat, and steal its way into power.
The stakes, at this moment, in this country that we love, could not be higher. Some Republicans are used to losing and habituated to concession, but the President and the largest number of voters for any Republican in American history know

Joe Biden has made it clear that he will do his best to “unify” the country following an election in which more than 71 million Americans – nearly half the electorate – voted for Donald Trump. It is an admirable goal. But any chance of that happening depends on the American people having confidence that the election outcome resulted from a fair and honest process. Though never perfect, our electoral system has generally instilled confidence for the past 231 years, which is why it has worked so well.
Under the contentious circumstances of this election, the traditional media’s decision to declare a victor before the official process

Like the Potemkin villages quickly erected to hide the squalor in which Russian peasants lived during the reign of Catherine the Great, a façade of legitimacy is under construction by the Fourth Estate to cover up the widespread voting irregularities that gave us “President-Elect Biden.” Never mind that the election was prematurely called for our erstwhile vice president by the same “news” media that steadfastly refused to report his well-documented history of racism, influence peddling, serial plagiarism, and conspicuous cognitive decline. They now expect the electorate to accept their word that Biden has won the presidency a month before he is elevated to that office by the Electoral College.

Nothing has changed since Friday night.
You might find that strange, given the media stampede to certify the election results for their man, but it’s crucial. The calls made Saturday morning are as arbitrary as they were last Tuesday, could just as easily have waited for Monday, and fly in the face of massive evidence of voter irregularities that, at minimum, should be heard in court before anyone considers calling the election.Add pending lawsuits and official recounts in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan and Wisconsin, and the conclusion is an attempt by the American media to pick our president and decide our election.
