Employees may be more likely to become infected with the novel coronavirus in an office setting rather than working from home, according to a new report published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Thursday.
Public health officials interviewed about 300 people who took a COVID-19 test in July and compared the telework between those who tested positive or negative for COVID-19. “Participants were asked ‘In the 14 days prior to becoming ill, were you: Going into an office/school regularly; Working from home/teleworking; Both,”

Never trust any source that still calls it the "novel" coronavirus. Unless they mean novel as in fictional.

COVID-19 is a big nothing.
So you go to the office and you catch a cold/flu from maybe a co-worker, so what.
Unless you are old and infirm it's just a seasonal cold, and some are worse than others.

The test isn't valid. 300 people is an insignificant test sample. The controls were weak to nonexistent. It's a propaganda effort to control Americans thru fear.
Pfizer tested their vaccine on 43,000 individuals under strict government guidelines. Democrats are claiming its not safe to prevent Trump from getting credit.
If Americans don't rebel against this obviously dishonest activity, they will get the Chinese-style government they deserve

I'm sorry, did the CDC say something? I'm deaf to any government agency and personnel that keeps moving the goal posts concerning this virus. The odds of contracting this virus is less than contracting the common cold with mostly likely fewer symptoms that don't last as long as the common cold.

Hmmm, let's see. If I'm exposed to a virus I'm more likely to get a virus. Wowser. Big news there. Yes, why not move to more telework. We've proved it can work quite effectively in many situations and will likely cut overall use of sick leave.

It can also cause any brain cell you have to completely waste away if you work for the CDC.

People, stop playing the game. Don’t test, don’t report, don’t answer questions, don’t take surveys. Don’t ask, don’t tell. If you feel sick, stay home until you feel better, just like any other sickness you’ve ever been through. If you feel better wearing a mask, have at it, but you must see the government goal now. Suddenly, just today, more government COVID restrictions, mask mandates and CDC proclamations. They want you muzzled and legally unable to congregate. If you keep playing their game, you will will get more of it. If this election has taught us anything, it’s that compliance is exactly what they want, with no.questions.asked. Wake up.

And if we all live in our basements and never venture out, we will never achieve herd immunity.

Oh yeah. Now I remember how it used to be during FLU SEASON. We paid our money and we took our chances. And we did the work. We stayed healthy or we stayed home. Every office has at least one hot dog who thinks they are above the law, the rules or the best practices.

Okay, maybe there's some truth to that. If you got people shoulder to shoulder in your office, maybe the chances of transmission -- be it COVID, the flu, a cold, whatever, goes up.
My office had about 500 people in the building. We were at capacity and I'd sit a couple feet away from my colleagues (and I had a corner desk). We were thinking of buying the lot next door and expanding the building.
Then COVID hit. Over 400 of us started working from home. A number have gone back to the office, but there's no way all 500 of us can come back and be 6 feet apart. I doubt if I'm going back to the office at all (until I retire in about 2-3 years). We found out that the work-from-home model works for our business and the idea of building another office building has been shelved. I anticipate we'll bring 200-300 back to the office but about half of us will still work remotely.

So a person working alone is less likely to get sick than one working with others? Hope we didn't pay for this pearl.

There is no Covid. Only a Chinese Democrat conspiracy to overthrow Trump.

Yeah, from 1 chance in 5,000 to 2 chances in 5,000.
