GOP fears conceding Trump loss would
spark base revolt and loss of seats

Top Republicans in Washington are reluctant to call Joe Biden the president-elect publicly, fearing a rebellion by grassroots conservatives loyal to President Trump that would sink the party’s Senate majority.
Republican insiders privately concede Biden ousted Trump and dismiss suggestions voter fraud, ballot errors, or other issues would be uncovered sufficient to alter the election. But with the president claiming otherwise and two Georgia runoff elections set for January that will decide the Senate majority, plus midterm elections in 2022, most congressional Republicans are backing Trump. The move is purely transactional.

"the move is purely transactional"..... if true, that would explain why the Republicans will now whither on the vine as a party. Perhaps their traditional rhetoric about law and order should be matched with some action on that front? How about supporting a true count of the election results because it's the orderly, correct thing to do? Asking too much are we?

I believe the President has made it clear to the republican party to either get on board and beat the dims' election fraud of last week OR the party is dead and he will start a new one and he will take his 71-million voter base with him.

Those Republicans better keep their mouths shut until every state in question is counted. They would be nowhere without DJT. We have been hearing for four years how much "everybody hate Trump," because the media tell us that it is so. If that were the case, none of them would have been elected or re-elected as the case may be. Those of us who have supported DJT support him now, and we want him to exposed these sanctimonious frauds and outright criminals. We are also far more better informed about the issues and just what DJT has accomplished in his term and many of us have been direct beneficiaries. Energy independence is one of his most profound accomplishments, taking that "club" out of the hands of the sheiks has caused them to realize that they are no longer the dig dog and that making peace with Israel in now in their best interest. The people of the entire region benefit. What if John Kerry gets back into the mix???
Any elected republican who speaks out against the President (Monsieur Delecto comes to mind) is on notice. The rest of you, nasty Christie and the Bush Brothers, better just change parties because we the people have nothing but contempt for you now.

Senator Cornyn you best be real careful what you say and how you act. Those of us back home know you are more than likely a closet never Trumper. You need to understand who you represent in Texas and it is those of us who voted for President Trump wholeheartly and reluctantly voted for you because the alternative was a demorat mini ACO yankee liberal.

The GOP shouldn’t be scared, they should have a code of ethics that they stand by. Romney is an example of a spineless immoral man who will not win re-election in Utah. Thank God he didn’t win the Presidency!

This kind of column is not good for my blood pressure.
"the move is purely transactional"
"Republican insiders privately concede"
"said...a GOP operative and former Trump advisor"
"just as they did with Trump on election night 4 years ago" (different voting procedures, don't you think?)
The condescending know-it-all attitude of the author is infuriating

By "anonymous Republican insiders" what they mean are the RNIOs in the Lincoln Project.
No need to be upset by an article like this. It's just more psychological warfare.
We already know from past experience ANY article that quotes anonymous people, especially alleged conservatives is a lie.

Right now, we are watching which Republicans stand up for their president, and stand with him, and which Republi-can'ts stand by telling President Trump to "concede" and "play nice"!!!!!
Those who say the "concede" blasphemy need to be tarred and feathered, and run out of town on a rail when they are up for re-election!!!!!!
We will not forget!!!!!!!

GOP better fear it! Because we're on the verge of physical, REAL revolt and protest, through the use of armed force!! If they let this overt and despicable act of disenfranchisement and fraud go by, we may make the revolution and the Civil War look like patty-cake!! We will not accept this! At this point, even if Biden is found to have won, we will not accept it because there is NO WAY to prove his party did so, legitimately.
We will fight!!

cont. Even if you're playing Monopoly with your own family, if you discover a member is cheating, he automatically loses simply because he TRIED to cheat. How much more serious and important should we take an election, where we're supposed to 'obey' the rules and orders of the winners?
I would fight to the death. I think a large number of Americans would, too.

In simple terms, the UNIPARTY pros are afraid the boobs will figure out that they really don't care about Trump's fate, except to wish him gone on January 20th. And the blindly partisan suckers will buy that. Those Pubbies are our last line of defense against communism and all that. Oh, and send money...

It was the base that save the Senate Nov 3. It will be the base that saves the country come the GA runoffs. If RINOs want all the sweet perks of being in, power, they best kiss the base's behind until the GA runoff is over. Then they can pull their McLame and go back to being Democrats.

Good thinking. We have just about HAD IT with the damned, worthless, cowardly, stupid, spineless, losers and RINOs who call themselves Republicans in a lot of places.
Trump is the REAL DEAL, and most "old style" Republicans ARE NOT. They are Swamp Creatures, corruptocrats, and we are sick and tired of their antics. You better damn well learn to fight, or learn to do without our votes, forever.

It's very telling that "top republicans" in DC are willing to tolerate egregious voter fraud without fear that our country is slouching into communism. They only seem too fear losing their exalted positions of power and influence. If this country is forced to experience a cleansing revolution to restore Constitutional rule and self government, they should be in fear of their lives. It's historically hard to be reelected while hanging from a lamp post.

They should fear for their very lives. They are so used to making all the rules, they are missing the rising tide of absolute disgust of much of the public. IF they try and take away our votes, by running an obvious, insider, corrupt game, it could spark a life and death struggle with the globalist tyrant rats. Once the first high profile politician is killed, and that possibility gets closer every day, ask Ron Paul about the crowd he faced, all of it comes apart. There are 543 people in DC who think they are some sort of Gods. There are at least 100 million people who would take up some sort of arms to defend themselves, if they had to and it is rapidly coming to that, thanks to things like this and the usual scum in DC.

Many others have thrown our support on the ground and spit on it! We are done with all of you for being sissies and wimps!
