The Chicago Public Library is temporarily removing six Dr. Seuss books from circulation after Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced it would cease to publish the books due to racist and insensitive imagery. âIt is important to recognize that what society understands to be relevant and/or common knowledge changes over time, and so too does the Library and the needs of the communities it serves,â Patrick Molloy, a spokesperson with the library, said in a statement. âLibrary staff encourage patrons of all ages to engage critically with our materials, but materials that become dated or that foster inaccurate, culturally harmful stereotypes are removed

Among the beneficiaries of the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill passed Saturday was Planned Parenthood, despite the best efforts of Senate Republicans and pro-life groups.
