In an endorsement published this week, a Washington state newspaper said it agrees with President Trump’s critics that the commander-in-chief has numerous faults – but that doesn’t mean Trump doesn’t deserve a second term.
“We recommend voting for him anyway,” the Spokesman-Review of Spokane wrote Sunday about the president, “because the policies that Joe Biden and his progressive supporters would impose on the nation would be worse.”
The editorial described the 2020 presidential election as a choice between “a wretched human being [Trump] whose policies and instincts for helping America thrive are generally correct,”

Wretched human being? Depends on what your definition of wretched is and I don't see it Dom Calicchio. President Trump is outspoken but he has been a far too patient man. I would have not put up with half the crap Democrats have dished out. Wretched is all of the death, destruction, and devastation caused by the divisive crowd. I just read a definition of "divisive" and it fits perfectly. Divisive is defined as forcing someone into your ideologies.
I didn't read your whole article for that very reason. Go pound sand Dom, Democrats and media outlets.

No president would cancel our health care without a replacement program. I'm really tired of hearing that.

Speaking of one’s mine does not make one wretched. People are used to mealymouth politicians who speak out of both sides of their vocal orifice and can’t speak the truth if their lives depended on it. Trump is extremely plain spoken, and when people are nasty he calls them nasty. Is it my style? No, but it does not mean that he is not the man for the job.

Donald Trump is veritably angelic compared to the evil perpetrated against him.
It is beyond ridiculous that he receives all of this criticism for his “wretchedness” when what he is doing is holding up a mirror exposing the contemptible words and actions of his attackers. If they want to see real wretchedness, they should spend some time reviewing that vile bunch
They hate him and are trying to destroy him because of his vast love for this free, constitutional representative republic, and because he is effectively preventing them from fundamentally transforming it.

He’s the happiest “wretched” person I’ve ever seen. Do wretched people hold rallies where tens of thousands of joyous supporters attend and chant, “We Love You!” or do they hold rallies where a handful sit quietly in chairs placed in circles?

Interesting how blowhards who write for newspapers, think they are some sort of modern King David with a divine ability to judge us. Here is a lollypop for picking the obvious choice between a businessman who has a good track record in DC over the last 4 years vs a lying criminal who is losing his mind.

I saw three wretched individuals heading the Tech companies before congress yesterday. The contempt on their faces was chilling. What about that?

Wretched human being? And Biden is Saint Joseph? Give me a break. Old Joe is a lying, thieving horrible human being. And he is getting senile to boot.

I’ll take this with a grain of salt because bathroom boy Barry was referred to many times by many people and politicians as a "nice guy" in order to avoid being called a racist.
Couldn’t agree more with posters above who ask how could someone be so wretched when he’s holding rallies with people who love him in the tens of thousands, during a pandemic.

“He panders to racists" No, he searches for the truth in situations, most of which are NOT racist but instead distorted by the Left and the media.
"prevents sensible immigration reform" No, he appropriately said that he will enforce current LAW and expect Congress to make needed changes, which he would happily consider and likely approve. Also, he believes that in a time of greater unemployment because of COVID, legal immigration should be constrained until most Americans have jobs.
“He tweets conspiracy theories". Like the CIA and FBI were spying on him? Which was TRUE! Like Biden was corrupt in Ukraine? Also TRUE!
"He’s cavalier about COVID-19" He closed Chinese access while the dems were calling him racist. He organized an amazingly effective task force to provide resources where needed and briefing guidance on what to do and what was happening. He provided field hospitals and hospital ships to New York and California. He has Warp Speeded development of a vaccine by forming a business-government partnership while bureaucrats dithered. He has balanced COVID vs economic interests and validly decided that the economic damage of a "shutdown" was not worth continuing.
"He seeks to dismantle the Affordable Care Act without proposing a replacement" No, thanks to McPain we are stuck with rancid, dying hulk of BOCare so there is nothing to propose. He has declared he will protect the coverage of preexisting conditions when it is overturned and buried. Meanwhile, under what Trump HAS accomplished, insurance costs and medication costs are falling.
"He denies climate change.” Yeah, he doesn't believe in unscientific hoaxes. As more and more VERIFIABLE evidence comes in, the predictions of warming decrease and the likely damage decreases. Further, the cause of any warming does NOT sync with CO2 levels showing that the models are WRONG and that other contributors are either undervalued OR missing completely. The models do NOT account for that actual outcomes for the last 20 years or so. WHY would we accept their predictions for 100 years from now? The US actually has the best environmental reduction of CO2 because of our switch to natural gas from coal. We could invest in modern nuclear facilities and do even better. Or we could build ridiculous solar plants and wind farms and watch the economy collapse and retreat into the DARK ages as we run out of power.

Cowles...I believe he's part of the ownership family. It really doesn't matter which side of the issue you're on, we can all agree...the editorial was fire worthy.

I'd rather have a thousand Trumps than 2 Bidens in my city.
The paper is full of beans. Trump is a fine human being.
