Two years after the New York Times published an op-ed from what they described as an anonymous, principled conservative “senior administration official,” it turned out to have been written by a low-level bureaucrat who later worked for tech giant Google and gave money to far-left Democrats.
Miles Taylor revealed he was the author of the highly hyped op-ed headlined “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration.” He claimed to secretly work to thwart Trump’s policy goals as the elected president of the United States.(Snip)People took seriously the New York Times’ claim that the anonymous writer was in the upper echelon of an administration.

I believe #1 is correct. From the sound of this guy, his purported “life story”, he was a mole in the Trump White House. Vindman and Ciaramella were as well. They considered themselves to be “The Resistance”. I remember when Ciaramella’s attorney used that term. From a Fox article on attorney Zaid:
Mark Zaid, one of the attorneys representing the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the Democrats' ongoing impeachment inquiry, tweeted conspicuously in January 2017 that a "coup has started" and that "impeachment will follow ultimately."
Then, in July 2017, Zaid remarked, "I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president." Also that month, Zaid tweeted, "We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters.”

The NYT assisted Stalin in covering up millions of murdered Ukrainians in the 1930s, and has been a communist propaganda outlet forever.
NOTHING that the NYT says is worth listening, reading......NEVER trust the NYT. They are Fake News.

I'll give this to Doughboy Vindaman. At least he was in the White House.
Sounds like this "senior administration official" Miles Taylor was stationed miles from the White House and couldn't find it with a GPS, guide dog, and a map.

Statement by Acting Secretary, Department of Homeland Security, Chad Wolf:
Today’s announcement by Mr. Taylor demonstrates that he was clearly pursuing a self-serving, self-promoting agenda while at the Department of Homeland Security rather than pursuing an agenda aimed at securing the Homeland. Having worked with Mr. Taylor on the President’s immigration and counter-terrorism policy agenda, I can attest that he never vocalized disagreement with the President’s policies – and in fact expressed strong support. This charade is another sad reminder that not all who pursue public service are doing so for the public good.

The NY Times lost all credibility 30 years ago. They will never be trusted by me again. Don't buy the paper and avoid their advertisers.

While Taylor is a lying coward, the problem is the eagerness of the Slimes to hand a megaphone to such people and cover up for them to satisfy the Slimes agenda. This is NOT the action of a responsible newspaper. It is the actions of propagandists. In this case, the Slimes is a heartbeat away from totally fabricating a story. From what it seems, Taylor had NO power to resist anything. He voiced no "resistance" to his boss and instead actually offered support. He falsely aggrandized himself. Further, he used that false fame to swing a book deal for further political fiction. This was all set in motion by the Slimes support. It was also destabilizing of the government as "anonymous" was sought out. Again, the Slimes shed no tears over this. It was "mission accomplished".
All this is fine if the Slimes is an acknowledged propaganda organization. But the Slimes likes to pretend that it is a reputable newspaper. It is NOT!

So a nobody wrote a fake op-ed for a nothing newspaper which turned out to be an overblown attempted takedown resulting in nothing. All that this blatant lie did was show the true colors of both the author and New York Times. How can anyone ever trust the New York Times for lying about this entire op-ed and it's authors importance in the Trump administration? How can any future employer ever trust the author (Mr. Taylor) who clearly lied about his importance in the administration and showed no loyalty to his employer? The only one looking good as a result of this op-ed is President Donald Trump.

CNN even published its own list of likely senior advisers who might have written the NYT op-ed. And, of course, CNN added a really unflattering photo of the President: https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/05/politics/donald-trump-mystery-op-ed/index.html
