The South Carolina Senate race between Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham and his opponent and former SC Democratic party chairman Jaime Harrison has turned into the national media’s 2020 version of the 2018 race between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) vs. Democrat Beto O’Rourke.
Not a day goes by where there is not a fawning puff piece or two and/or umpteen tweets from reporters and “political analysts” on how Harrison has managed to make a race most believed at the beginning of the year would not be competitive into one to watch down the homestretch.
When the Harrison campaign reported they’d raised $57 million in the third quarter,

Somehow, Harrison's minions have found their way unto my email (fortunately, it appears in the JUNK folder).
I may get upset at Lindsey Graham, but as FDR once said about some banana republic dictator, he may be a so*, but at least he's our so*.

It should be illegal to spend $57 million to get a job in Washington paying $174k.

I found the ad run by the Lincoln Project titled "Parasite" to be particularly disgusting. Saw it several times at night and once during the days when kids might be watching. So much so that I contacted the Harrison for Senate campaign and complained. Apparently, I wasn't the only one.

I'm a Graham critic. I don't fully trust the man, especially on border issues. But I have given serious thought to sending him a donation. We MUST hold the Senate.
I also criticize Susan Collins, but even if she is only with us half the time, she is on our side of the aisle, and will help keep UpChuck from leading the Senate.

If Republicans lose the majority in the Senate it's likely that not another President Trump judicial nominee will be confirmed, and very few Bills will be passed during his 2nd term. This is just how far these Democrats have gone off the rails. It will the Democrat Party first, interests of the US second.

I've had a soft spot for Lindsey Graham all the way back to the Clinton impeachment days when he was just a congressman. I fell out when him, though, when he became John McCain's reliable wingman. Now, Graham is out from under that shadow and I'm back to being ok with him. I hope he is soundly re-elected.

Until we have a more comfortable majority in the senate , I vow to not criticize this grandstanding, um, blowhard as much as usual.

Funny how Senators, on both sides of the aisle, say all the right things at election time and then do as they please for the next 5 years. Is Graham better than most Dems? Yep. Will Graham help save America from the Left? Nope. Graham, like most politicians, will do what is best for Graham, not you, not me, only himself. Don't count on any politician, or any election, to make your life better. Only God, family and yourself can make your life a joyous time on earth. Have a blessed day.

I’m in SC and Graham is winning. The last I heard is he’s at 78% to win.
Harrison is still running the fraudulent ads about Bledsoe but Graham is also running an ad pointing out that Harrison’s ad is a lie and stating that Bledsoe is no longer in the race. Graham has some hard hitting ads about how Harrison supports open borders, health care for illegals, late term abortion, raising taxes, defunding the police etc.
Driving around the Charleston area, which is the most liberal part of the state, there are Graham signs everywhere. The only Harrison signs I’ve seen (2) were when I was driving through a black neighborhood.
I voted against Graham in the primary but I’ve since sent him a Benjamin and will stand in line all day on Tuesday to vote for him. Harrison is an odious far left fraud who would spend his senate career in Schumer’s pocket.

Oops. Forgot to add - Harrison has spent far more than $57 million. The last I heard in the news here is that it’s almost up to $100 million with most of the donations coming from Hollywood, California and New York.

I agree with #1, #4, #6 regarding Graham (especially the part about him being the wingman for "no name".
I don't like him or trust him, but we need for him to win.
Graham is a weather vane and he will do what is in his best interest considering the way the wind is blowing.
The wind is blowing pro-Trump, so we can probably count on him.

As per my earlier prescient post (patting myself on the back!?) I am not surprised.
I don't entirely trust him, but I'm afraid he's the best we've got.

Sen. Graham earned my admiration for several reasons most recently due to his well-run SCOTUS confirmation hearing for Justice Barrett. As you saw, a strong performance on his part even earned praise and a passionate hug from lefty Sen. Feinstein when the hearing adjourned. And, boy, did that cause Chuckie's head to explode when he found out.
Yes, I've had my moments where I didn't think Graham was tough enough or got on the wrong side (in my opinion) of an issue. But, he is ok in my book, same as Leader McConnell. Both men have endured a lot and have brought much integrity to our judicial system with the many Judges they have confirmed.
Harrison is obviously benefitting from a lot of out of state campaign dark money and is saturating local tv in SC with, frankly, very evil attack ads. This is just plain wrong. It's sad that the folks in SC can be so easily manipulated to hate or like somebody based on tv ads. It's not just SC. My own state, the Peoples Republic of Colorado is just as bad if not worse. Even Bledsoe, the SC independent candidate, has gone on the record to criticize Harrison for using his name to try to destroy Graham.
Graham needs our financial help asap. It's us against Soros, Bloomberg and Steyer again. Let's roll!

#11, and #12, I should have read your comments before posting. Thanks for your heads up. I feel better but, still plan to contribute to Graham's campaign. It's the least I can do.

Oh please. Graham did this to himself. When he wins, he still won't do anything to change into a real conservative instead of Benedict Arnold. EVERY Republican senator will continue to be as useless as usual whether Trump wins or loses.

Over 20 years I've seen Lindsey unmercifully bashed on this site. I hope he is re elected. When I agree with Lindsey there is NO ONE BETTER. He's much better since McCain is gone.

Graham is not of my favorite people...but... he's a conservative republican... he deserves to win... ole chucky schemer of New York has screwed up his own state... so now he's looking to screw up South Carolina....WE need term limits and a thorough house cleaning of the house and senate....eight years in the house and two terms in the senate....that should discourage china from paying off Feinstein and biden and schemer and....dickie turbin of Illinois....

I don’t consider the GOP Senate as useless as #17. Just recently they gave us the 3rd Supreme Court Justice, and have approved many, many more of Trump’s lower court nominees. Both Lindsey and Mitch deserve credit for standing strong through the recent confirmation hearings while keeping all but 1 senator on board. I recently sent both Graham and McSally donations, and I encourage you all to donate in order to help maintain the majority in the Senate. Stephen Breyer is 82 and could be the next SC Justice to retire. That would give PDJT 4 spots on the court. Unreal!
