Cable news ratings exploded in October across Fox News, CNN and MSNBC as all three networks saw record numbers for the month, with Fox News having the highest-rated month in cable news history, according to Nielsen Media Research. The month included a positive coronavirus test for the president, who was briefly hospitalized, and a fever pitch on the presidential campaign trail. Good for Fox's evening lineup, especially Tucker! It would seem that people are getting tired of being shucked and jived by the rest of the MSM.

More and more viewers are turning into Fox's evening lineup (Tucker, Hannity and Laura) to see REAL news. However it's clear that many other Fox programs (sometimes even "Fox and Friends") are creeping to the left. Many of Fox's talking heads (especially at various times between 10 AM through 8 PM) are increasingly making anti-Trump comments that are out of place and unwarranted. If you watch closely you can see the anti-Trump comments are often because of instructions being given to the talking head through his or her earpiece. The anti-Trump commentary varies from day to day. Some days it's strong, and other days it's light or even pro-Trump. It seems to change depending on what the President did the preceding day.

"Historic high" requires gaining viewers from CNN/MSNBC. Those brain-numbed viewers must have received a neuron-jolt during the debates and realized there was something wrong with Joe, along with the talking heads' DNC talking points. I suspect this trend for truth-seeking will continue.

Not surprising. What little professional sports that is televised is a political statement and people don't care to see it anymore. The network shows are all reruns people have seen already, that leaves cable news with the only feed of current shows.

The one remaining shining light on Fox News, Tucker Carlson's program, is the only reason Fox gets my attention. After tuning into Carlson's program last night and watching his blockbuster interview with Tony Bobulinski, I was in horror as to what Bobulinski disclosed about the Biden family's corruption. That one-hour interview must have put Fox's ratings up into the stratosphere.

Can do without Doocy and Ainsley. Sandra Smith - OMG - forget her lefty news angle. Outnumbered, The Five, etc - forget them. Fox Business is the best of the Fox lineups.

Not surprised that FOX is leading. Despite the fact that it has drifted left to the point that anyone trying to mention George Soros's name gets their sentence interrupted instantly by "technical difficulties." [Newt Gingrich for example] BUT the alternatives are so in the tank for the socialists that they have all completely spiked the biggest presidential politics scandal - by far - in US history. 6 days left to save liberty here (and the rest of the world?)

FTA: "All three of the major cable news networks also saw substantial growth when compared to the same month last year...CNN saw a 98 percent increase in total viewers when compared to October 2019, and a 116 percent jump in the demographic, while MSNBC is up 38 percent in total viewers and 45 percent in the younger category." With all of the cheering-on of a little less leftist media slant at Fox, the big in-your-face leftist networks are also benefiting from conservative viewership, as well. Isn't any support of network TV analogous to voting for leftist politicians (democrats) in the big blue cities and states?

The defense budget is an unusual investment — spending resources on something the country doesn’t want to use. Further, the more it invests in modernizing its military, the less likely it is to be used. The goal of defense dollars is to build a force capable of deterring our adversaries — through both conventional and strategic means — by changing their cost-benefit analysis of taking any military action against our nation’s interests. When deterrence succeeds, as it largely has for the last 75 years,

A billion dollar bills laid end to end would stretch 96,900 miles, winding around the Earth nearly four times. A trillion dollars laid in the same manner would stretch for 96,906,656 miles, a distance farther than the sun. If you laid one billion dollars side by side like tile, they would cover about four square miles. A trillion dollars laid out the same way would cover approximately 3,992 miles, or 1,000 square miles

If Justice Barrett votes as her mentor Justice Scalia did, she will be part of an ascendant conservative majority on the Supreme Court. What kinds of decisions can we expect from this majority? Short answer: Ask Brett Kavanaugh. Contrary to how journalists frame each seat change on the Court, comparing the new justice to the departed one is not the best way to assess the impact. Instead, we should determine who becomes the median (or swing) justice, meaning the justice who provides the crucial fifth vote when a case splits the Court ideologically. Two years ago, Kavanaugh’s appointment shifted the median from the retiring Justice Kennedy to Chief Justice Roberts.

Journalists had a rare chance to ask Joe Biden a few questions Wednesday and — of course — failed to ask him anything about his knowledge of his son’s business dealings. Even though former ally Tony Bobulinski gave sitdown interviews with Fox News and The Post’s Michael Goodwin outlining in detail his evidence disproving Joe’s repeated claims of lifelong ignorance of son Hunter’s profitable affairs. And even though Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was testifying to the Senate about the company’s censoring of stories about the Bidens. Two big developments that the press felt wasn’t worthy of mention. What questions should media be asking Joe Biden, nonstop?

“Why not just shoot ’em in the leg?” In debates over police use of force, it’s only a matter of time until someone — invariably with little firearms experience and certainly with none in a “real-world” context — interjects with this prescription. At a recent ABC News town hall, former Vice President Joe Biden deployed the familiar “shoot ’em in the leg” refrain as a proposed alternative to a “shoot to kill” approach against charging assailants. Months earlier, Vice President Biden had offered similar advice to police faced with knife-wielding subjects, recommending they “shoot ’em in the leg instead of the heart.” It’s neither a secret nor a surprise
