Judge Amy Coney Barrett, fresh off her confirmation to serve as an associate justice on the nation's highest court, took her constitutional oath on Monday at the White House.
The Supreme Court said in a press release that Barrett will be able to start her new role after Chief Justice John Roberts administers her judicial oath on Tuesday. Justice Clarence Thomas administered the constitutional oath at Monday's ceremony.
Thomas has long been considered one of the more conservative justices on the court, along with Barrett's mentor, the late Justice Antonin Scalia. Echoing her mentor, Barrett underscored the need for a separation of powers between the judicial and legislative branches.

Justice Roberts can now pound sand. Finally, it's 5 to 4. The 4 includes Roberts. We need to get President Trump reelected because there very well could be one more to replace, Breyers. Also, Thomas has been talking about retirement. Thomas will be EXTREMELY hard to find anyone that comes close to him.

Is it just me, or does this President know how to stage an event? The White House looked absolutely beautiful all lit up last night and I love the addition of the flags. The setting was perfect. The swearing in was so meaningful and Justice Barrett’s speech was pitch perfect. So proud to be an American. Now, I look forward to President Trump’s inauguration!

It was great that Barrett restated her view on the role of the court and contrasted it with that of elected officials. That has been how the courts have gotten "out of whack" and her confirmation very firmly announces an end to it. She is going to be an exceptional justice with clarity of thinking yielding law based and well written decisions.
Of course the dems threw a tantrum before, during, and after the vote. Barrett is an amazingly accomplished judge and person, and BTW, a woman. You would think they could be gracious in their defeat and celebrate success for a woman brought to such a prestigious position. Not the dems. Their agenda is all that matters. They are NOT supportive of ALL women, Blacks, Hispanics, etc., only the ones that conform to the dems' agenda. In fact members of these groups that do not conform are treated terribly. If you obey your dem plantation masters all is well. If you get uppity, watch out. That is not respect for these groups, it is ownership.
Of course the bonus in all this is that it exhibited the dems haplessness and pettiness and drove them crazy. Dems making fools of themselves is always a good theme for the day and it seems to be happening regularly since Trump became President. Do you think there is a connection? Do you think Trump plans it? Do you think the sun rises in the East?

What a great triumph! And, spake the Zombie Candidate, FTA: He went on to say that "there are just a group of serious constitutional scholars, have a number of ideas how we should proceed from this point on." Should read: some of my buddies---Marxist bong-commandos---have tried to cheer me up with the fantasy of reversing her appointment. You know, like we did George's election. C'mon man! How hard could it be?

I became emotional as I watched the ceremony, realizing G_d hasn’t given up on America. The dark side is gnashing it’s teeth.

The SCOTUS at last has an opportunity to restore itself to the status of 'honorable' in its opening. invocation

As a way to honor Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Barrett should have noted she will also stay on the court until age 87.

The President is a showman but he is the best leader this country has ever had. Justice Barrett will be a major weapon in fighting the democrat cheating in this election and that is her greatest value at the moment. If the vote fraud is out of control, the Supreme Court can just declare DT the winner and move on. Things are looking up for the good guys as Biden sinks like a stone. Just think, it was Barack Obama who brought all of this about and that will be his legacy.

So we have 3 judges, two spineless appeasers and four blacked-robed unelected legislators on the bench. Still a workable advantage for Chief Just-Us Roberts to work his magic eliminating the Executive and Legislative branches through 'Judical' fiat.

Did I read earlier this year that Alito was thinking of retiring? Also, that Sotomayor was in poor health. I believe she's diabetic and has other problems.

Yes, it was a great day yesterday for America. Grateful for the President to stand tall amide the usual dims and msm abuse and follow through on this. I recall Justice Barrett's name being floated as a SCOTUS nominee quite some time ago and now she is the real deal. Does the President have a good sense of timing or what?
Hat tip to Leader McConnell, Judiciary Chairman Graham and the rest of the pubbies on the Judiciary Committee who made this day possible. And above all to Justice Barrett whose expressions of integrity and love of the Constitution and America during the confirmation hearing was off the charts.

I loved the camera shot of her husband Jesse just beaming at her as he held the Bible during the swearing in. Speaking of the Bible, I am finding more leadership parallels to President Trump besides ''King Cyrus.'' Someone smarter than I will soon finish such a study book.

For anyone who thinks that we don't need Trump anymore since there is a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, there are a few things to keep in mind. Roberts is wavering. He is not a reliable conservative vote. Thomas is getting older. I don't think he will retire voluntarily, but his health could be a concern. And the same with Alito. And maybe most ominous, there are the Democrat plans to pack the Court. With a majority in both Houses and the Presidency, they could do it.

It will be nice to have more Supreme Court decisions based on the U.S. Constitution instead of "penumbras and emanations" that are imagined by activist judges. Good for you President Trump and Senate Republicans.
I hope President Trump, and the Republicans win by a tidal wave of votes so that the 'swamp' gets drained.

The Notorious A.C.B. is in the house! Well ... the court, but you get the idea.
I can't believe The Turtle finally stuck his neck out and did something for someone other than himself. Say what you want, but when the chips went down Mitch & Lindsay called the Dems bluff. Three of a kind beats Jack high every time.
And the POTUS? Does 3 rallies and still flies back in time to announce the new SCOTUS member! Talk about energized. He makes the drum beating bunny look tired.
Meanwhile, Slidin' Biden watched from home with his hot cocoa in a sippy cup and in his blue jammies with the little airplanes on them.

Among Justice Barrett's many superlative attributes, I can't help but notice another that I take much glee in adding that she's got high cheek bones too. ;-)

This is huge. We have a reliable conservative majority, at last. We also have a woman from the heartland, a mother of small children. We don't need your stinking Harvard and Yale. She will bring a wonderful perspective for thirty or forty years.
And bless the president for putting on a wonderful show last night. He does multiple rallies, comes home, does a spectacular ceremony. That was a wonderful moment. A great night to be a conservative and an American. Now, go get 'em, Justice Amy.

The Democrat/Socialists are incensed because the chances of the SCOTUS legislating from the bench has been reduced significantly by the appointment of Justice Barrett. Another promise kept by President Trump; nominating constitutionalist judges to fill vacancies in our top court.

I listened carefully to ACB's acceptance speech. It sounded like Cavanaugh's. It kinda confirmed my past hunches regarding conservative women (maybe men too?) and how they "evolve" once they're given the power. Reading between the lines, it seems she will temper her decisions going forward and not let her "conservative leanings" affect her mind. I don't think RBG evolved and abandoned her liberal ideologies once she became a Justice and starting embracing the Constitution as written? We'll see.
Judge Cavanaugh has disappointed conservatives once I think so far ... you would think that his confirmation treatment from the left would have POed him so much that he will never-ever rule against us? This is why I love Justice Clarence Thomas. He never ever forgets what they did to him and he will never-ever give liberals/progressives/dems the satisfaction of a favorable decision until he passes away.
