Are Recent Reports of COVID

Back in March, the COVID mantra was, “15 days to slow the spread”, meaning flattening the curve. (snip) What if the latest surge is just another political move, an attempt to influence election, now a week away? What exactly is this current surge? Is it a surge in positive tests, cases, hospitalizations, or deaths? A positive test alone is not a case, according to the CDC. The “case definition” of COVID is a positive test and symptoms. People who might have had a mild case a month ago may still have dead viral particles in their noses, triggering positive tests.

Of course, I believe it because this surge is just too convenient for the democrats. What I want to know is the number of survivors and actual deaths by COVID-19. They word parse so much you can’t pin them down. Dying of COVID-19 is very different than dying with Covid-19. They are lumping all the COVID-19 deaths into one group whether they actually die of it or with it at the time of their death. Our goofy governor is a mess. He is democrat lite and is destroying our state with his mandates. It is shocking what these governors are getting away with. They are despots,

The answer is in the question. Of course it is. The reality that the President has gotten COVID and recovered is yuge in changing people's view of the danger of the disease, whether the individual is aware of the fact or not. The opposition knows this, and are trying to reinflate the fear factor to suppress the vote. I also won't be surprised to see more coverage of violence at polling stations either. They are pulling out whatever stops they have at this point.

Conservatives are happily gloating over the fact that Andrew Cuomo is at, or rapidly approaching, his nadir. (snip) Cuomo's pandering has always been coarse, heavy-handed, and insincere. Though he is hardly a closet conservative, and probably genuinely supports these policies, it has always been obvious that Cuomo manipulated leftist identity groups so that they would have no alternative but to vote for him and make him governor-for-life. (Indeed, until only a few weeks ago, Cuomo seemed to be a shoo-in for a fourth term). Eventually, though, it became clear that the leftist identity-politics groups were getting tired of getting the pimp hand from Cuomo

Meghan Markle, it seems, isn't much of a scholar. While much of the focus has been on her barbs accusing the British royal family of abnormal interest in her baby's skin color and denying him a title and personal security protection supposedly because he is black and they are racists, what's striking to me is how unprepared she was for the royal role she sought when she married Prince Harry. Though the populist tide seems to have ebbed, it will rise again, and soon. The problem that ignited populist sentiment in the first place, whether on the left or the right, remains: the country’s economic and financial system has failed much of the population and is rigged to the benefit of a government-business elite. Resistance to this inequity elevated Trump and pulled the Democratic Party to the left and will continue to roil American politics until things change. The economy’s “rigging” has developed gradually over time and often from the best of intentions.

Fascism, a form of big government, is hated among conservatives. Outsiders in the mainstream media really piled on the hate. "There will be no policy debates," claimed an MSNBC opinion columnist. That's false. The truth, it seems, was of no value in reporting on this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
