The Trump administration led a 32-nation signing ceremony of a declaration that affirms there is no international right to abortion. The declaration serves as a rebuke to the pro-abortion rights U.N. and World Health Organization (W.H.O.). It states the nations join to promote women’s health as well as the “strength of the family and of a successful and flourishing society.” The governments also affirm “the essential priority of protecting the right to life.” The nations that signed onto the declaration, which represent 1.6 billion people, also “reaffirm ‘all are equal before the law,’” and that “human rights of women are an inalienable,

Women possess the greatest power in the universe-the ability to create life. As a man, I am not at all afraid to say that women are the superior sex, but it has nothing to do with feminism. Abortion is wrong. And anyone who says to stay out of their body, it's not just your body, there is another one too. And its not a clump of cells-we are all just clumps of cells when it comes down to it. If abortion is viewed as vital to feminists as a 'woman's health issue', then how about NOT GETTING PREGNANT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Birth control comes in all shapes and sizes and is often pretty cheap, but you have to actually use it. It takes a special kind of stupid and lazy to get pregnant when you don't want to be. And that goes for both sexes.

Thank you, President Trump, Secretary Pompeo and Secretary Azar for leading this true international defense and support of life and family!
May God bless you, and all of the leaders who have joined you. May the numbers of members increase and the nations be blessed. May good prevail.

Wow! Feminist heads will explode over this. But there is a demographic winter coming for western civilization unless we begin to value children over things. Last Sunday, we had a baptism of twin boys at mass. I couldn't stop smiling.

I'm not saying it will last, but for this brief shining moment the United States led the push back against the murder machine that engulfs the world in grimy little offices around the globe.
Thanks Almighty God in Heaven for this man. I will never forget what he did for us. Never.

ALL women, including female fetuses, have a right to their bodies. Women's rights are incomplete until they recognize this. But this is morality and logic. Not politics.

Re #11
Let me ask you this: if YOU were that unwanted, un-looked for child, how would YOU feel about it? A fetus has no say as to who it's parents are, does it? What about children with birth defects, or Down's Syndrome? A couple in my neighborhood recently had a baby boy who died from complications related to heart defects. They knew months before that the child had these issues but decided that they wanted to give him whatever life they could. They are sad the child died but they loved him nonetheless. I understand there are circumstances when a pregnancy poses a threat to the mother, like a Fallopian tube pregnancy, where both lives are at risk. But arguing the minutiae supersedes the point that eliminating another human being because their existence is considered inconvenient is the very definition of evil. We should use birth control. We should punish pedophiles severely. You've heard of stories where a father beat to beat a person caught molesting his daughter? I've no problem with that. Innocent babies are another matter entirely.

Speaking as a woman... I'm thrilled to see this... finally there are people who understand the meaning of life...perhaps planned parenthood can find another way to fund their corrupt plans...and women who demand choice about their bodies can take a trip to the pharmacy....and stop being lazy about their choices...

We in America forget that abortion is not as popular worldwide as it is here, or in some nations of the EU. Good for Trump leading the way on this issue.

Northam, Governor of Virginia wants after-birth Infanticide and he is a doctor. Cuomo lit up the Chrysler building to celebrate birth canal abortion.
Despite that godless Democrats, there is less support for abortion politically. And now comes the notorious ACB !

#2- Respectfully disagree that, “Women possess the greatest power in the universe—the ability to create life ... that women are the superior sex.” It is God who creates life; women are the vessel in which God’s creation gestates until birth; God knows us before we are born. (Named in the Bible before being born: Ishmael Genesis 16:11 Isaac Genesis 17:19 Solomon 1 Chronicles 22:9 Josiah 1 Kings 13:2 Cyrus Isaiah 44:28 John (Baptist) Luke 1:13 JESUS Matthew 1:21) Women could not conceive without men. Men are protectors of women and children, with special direction for the stillborn loss of a child if a woman has been harmed in any way to cause a stillbirth. (Exodus 21:22-25) In God’s created order, man was created first, then woman for man. (1 Corinthians 11:9) It was a woman who was deceived by Satan, and it is through childbearing that women will be saved—“if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.” (1 Timothy 2:15)
#8- Indeed, abortion is a morality issue, not politics. Our bodies are not our own—they belong to God. A baby’s body belongs to God. One of the Ten Commandments is, “Thou shalt not murder.” Abortion is willfully murdering a baby—a baby that belongs to God.

#12, with all due respect, I am a woman and I don't think rape and incest come close to a child having Down's. When I was pregnant with my last child at age 35, I refused testing for Down's because I would not have aborted the child. Call me a hypocrite, but I have a difficult time making that stretch to force a woman/girl to bear a child of rape/incest. BTW, regarding your position on vigilante justice, the vast majority of rapists never see a day of jail time. The whole thing saddens me.

This was an action based on principle, not politics. It was a brave thing to do. It was not the politically correct or expedient thing to do. May God bless our President, V.P., and the administration.

Re # 17 I agree with you in that all life does come from God-and He chose women to carry & nurture that life till birth. There is no greater miracle than creation of life, and both sexes are responsible for it, but only women can carry child.
Re #18 Again, if you were a child conceived of rape or incest, would you be willing to sacrifice your life because someone else decided it was something socially awkward to be swept under the rug? We don't live in a perfect world-how certain are you that such a child wouldn't grow up to make a major contribution to society? I cannot bring myself to support the taking of an unborn baby's life unless the pregnancy is such that both the lives of mother and fetus are in peril.

Is there any real reason for abortion today?
Modern Science and free birth control pills are everywhere.
Although it seems that many are too stupid to use what is available to them to stop pregnancy perhaps abortion is keeping down the amount of morons, it is still not the proper way to go about birth control.
Perhaps 10% of today's abortions are necessary and the rest are murder.
And the left calls abortion an icon of women's health.
There is nothing healthy about abortion. It is not a healthy option.
The healthy option is to prevent with some form of birth control.

A few responses here...
#16, Northam is not just a doctor he’s a PEDIATRICIAN!
#23, I think it’s closer to 4,000 babies killed per day.
Isn’t it amazing they the World HEALTH Organization promotes the killing of human beings?
As an adoptive mother there is nothing that makes me more sick than the thought that my wonderful daughter could have wound up in pieces in a plastic bag tagged “medical waste” if her birth mother had made that “choice”.

FTA: On Thursday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Health & Human Services Alex Azar co-hosted the virtual signing of the Geneva Consensus Declaration along with the governments of Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, and Uganda.
God Bless and Keep Sec. Pompeo and Sec. Azar, and our Beloved POTUS!
Thank you MissLucianne and Staff for making this a Must Read.
May I respectfully suggest/request you continue this vital post as such at least one more day. Thank you.
Fellow LDotters, thank [most of] you, for recognizing the value of each and every life, which begins at conception.
For the few who may not agree, no one so far has mentioned the option of Adoption...
#18, yes, you are correct, rape and incest do not compare to Downs... However, a pregnancy due to any situation must not be terminated except for the vital health and decision of the Mother. [Remember, Tim Tebow’s mom was told to have one... she trusted a Holy God, thankfully.]
The 9 months carrying a baby after rape or incest is not the baby’s fault, nor the mother’s... However, it is still a baby. If the Mother doesn’t want the baby, simply put it up for adoption. The US adoption list grows daily!
You will have chosen to do what is correct in the most difficult decision... know a happy infertile couple is so very grateful!
#20, that was most disrespectful and demeaning to all mothers, no matter the circumstances.
