Washington, DC-Sen. Lisa Murkowski announced Saturday that she will ultimately vote yes on Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation to the Supreme Court of the United States. "I believe that the only way to put us back on the path of appropriate consideration of judicial nominees, is to evaluate Judge Barrett as we would want to be judged -- on the merits of her qualifications. And we do that when that final question comes before us. And when it does, I will be a yes," Murkowski said on the Senate floor. Corrections*

4, nothing wrong with her local polls driving her vote. If the people she represent want something their representative should generally do that on their behalf. Senators and other elected are representatives first and foremost, leaders second, and rulers never.

Y'all do know what happened here, right? Sarah Palin put out a blistering announcement that she was going to sell her home (showed pics of her place) if Murkowski didn't vote for ACB... she made it extremely clear that Alaska will not tolerate senators who refuse to vote for wonderful justices like ACB. I reckon COW figured that Sarah wasn't bluffin...

I heard on Newsmax that Murkowski realizes like many of the RINOs do, that her approval numbers are far lower than Trump’s incredible 94% amongst the party faithful. We are starting to see some of these guys starting to calculate that hurting Trump will cause them pain. We think these applause-loving politicians are not seeing all that Love for Trump across the nation? I give her credit for nothing. Biden Is Running a Protection Racket 9 replies

Joe Biden's big pitch is his promise to restore calm. It's a con. It's Antifa and Black Lives Matter — both on his side — that are stirring everything up. He's trying to run a protection racket: vote Democrat, or the chaos continues. Biden talks of calm, but it is not Trump-supporters storming restaurants and other public places across the country to demand obeisance to their agenda. Instead, from Washington to Kentucky to Florida, it is the "Black Lives Matter" movement — which Biden has made a centerpiece of his campaign...

Pope Francis’ support for same-sex unions is being openly criticized by several Roman Catholic leaders in America — who say his recently revealed pro-gay remarks cause “confusion and error” and fly in the face of church teachings. Cardinal Raymond Burke, a frequent critic of Francis, said the pope’s comments should be “rightly interpreted as simple private opinions of the person who made them.” “Such declarations generate great bewilderment and cause confusion and error among Catholic faithful,” Burke, a member of the Vatican’s highest court, said in a statement Thursday on his website. He added that Francis’ views were contrary to Catholic teachings.

Senior advisers to Joe Biden reportedly cannot rule out that the former vice president and Democratic White House hopeful met with a top Ukrainian energy executive, despite carefully-worded rebuttals from his campaign. Michael Carpenter and Amos Hochstein, who worked for Biden when he was vice president in 2015, told Politico that they couldn’t definitively state that their boss was never approached by Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Biden’s campaign also could not say whether the meeting happened or not.

The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
