With the United States reaching it’s highest daily case total of the pandemic yesterday, the case for masks continues to become more perilous. At no point has the country had more widespread mask mandates and usage than now, yet once again, we see almost no correlation between face coverings (most of which were never previously thought to be effective) and infection numbers. One study may have shown just that, and it may have happened all the way back in June. Unfortunately, the “scientific community” has decided that religious devotion is more important than an honest assessing of the facts.

An irony from the article:
Ironically, one of the journals that has rejected the major study, which included 6,000 people, is The Lancet. That’s the same scientific journal that had to retract a scam study that purported to show hydroxychloroquine was not only ineffective (that’s still debatable), but was also highly dangerous (see That Big Hydroxychloroquine Study the Media Went Nuts About Turned Out to Be a Scam)
David Steinberg
@realDSteinberg
It appears Surgisphere, the company that provided the data against hydroxychloroquine, doesn't actually exist.
It's likely that many died due to the "study" published in The Lancet.
Lancet has released an ... "expression of concern".

Proving once again that the so-called "experts" cherry pick the data they want to trumpet, sweeping under the rug anything inconvenient to their desired narrative.

I would be more willing to wear a mask to protect myself. To be forced to wear a mask to protect others is stupid. I wore my mask to a casino yesterday and was surrounded by smokers.
I am also concerned about health related issues happening when wearing a mask for long periods of time. Dental hygiene, dry mouth. Heart problems caused by bad teeth. Having to rebreathe own air. How will that affect you over time.
I have yet to see anyone wear or much less handle their mask properly and how many use their disposable mask more than once.
It will be hard to stop doing this now as a lot of business is making a lot of money selling products related to Covid

During the early days of the NASA space program, scientists there believed that astronauts had to be in 100 percent oxygen in the space capsule. (The Sovi9ets used normal atmosphere in their space capsules.)
NASA barbecued to death Gus Grissom, White, and maybe a third astronaut, back around 1968.
NASA then switched to the Soviet way..
I won't say much about NASA scientists launching, in freezing rain, the Challenger, killing more astronauts, or scientists continuing to launch the shuttle, even though they knew ceramic tiles were falling off, thus killing another crew.
Those rascal scientists!
and then there were the medical geniuses who blinded premature babies by putting them on 100 per cent oxygen.

ya know, there are many times when common sense is more competent then science. Wearing a mask is one of these times.
We NEED fresh air to breathe. common sense.

Major point in the article is that, while most everyone/everyplace mandates mask wearing, the numbers are going up! Hmmm.
It's interesting to go to the grocery store and observe the huge variety of things people are wearing, including a T-shirt, dirty bandana pulled out of the hip pocket, cloth masks that have likely been worn multiple times with no disinfecting, masks below the nose, wide gaps on the sides of a mask. I wear one only because some places won't allow me to enter without one, but I realize it is doing nothing to protect me. I also realize that I have become a sheeple, along with all the other millions of those allowing the government to make us do something.

#4, the number of astronauts killed in Apollo 1 is 3. Can't name the third off-hand, but it was a full up training exercise.

My common sense says masks where air enters under the ends and flows out to fog your glasses are worse than useless.
Regarding N95 masks: “COVID 19 virus particle size is 125 nanometers (0.125 microns); the range is 0.06 microns to .14 microns,” the post said. “The N95 mask filters down to 0.3 microns. So, N95 masks block few, if any, virions (virus particles).”
In other words, the post asserts the virus is smaller than the filter on the N95 mask, so the N95 mask doesn’t work.

Much of the "science community" has been systematically seduced by Chinese CCP grant money and infiltration of science boards and universities. This is evident in the fact that this community has refused to peer review the scientific paper by Dr. Li-Meng Yang who analyzed the SARS-COV-2 virus against the alleged bat virus that the Chinese "bat woman" Dr. Shi Zheng publicly stated was its source in nature. The comparison showed that the key spike protein on each of the species viruses that determines its infectiousness in humans was too similar to have evolved by natural selection. The logical conclusion is that either the human, the bat, or both viruses were intentionally fabricated. To date no laboratory team outside hers has been allowed to conduct the same analysis based on the publicly published genomes to confirm or refute her clear findings.
Until the science community resolves this potential genocidal weaponization of a virus we will be wasting our time trying to come up with a vaccine or therapeutics. If someone can do this once they can modify other viruses and do it again until they have weakened a population into medical dependency. The President should appoint a blue ribbon panel of truly independent virologists that are not subject to Chinese CCP or academic influences to determine the origins of this pandemic immediately.

Masks are real effective in earning money for the makers. If I wear a disposable mask into a restaurant and am allowed to take it off while sitting at the table, can I wear my disposable mask again when I get up to leave? Or any other mask? You have to put it someplace while eating, so your pocket or purse must hold it. Or do I need a new mask, as this one has been contaminated? Please, Mr. Science, what am I to do?

#4, #8 - their names were Gus Grissom, Ed white and Roger Chaffee. I still remember where I was when the news broke about the capsule fire.
#9, the inventor of the N95 filter material was interviewed earlier this year and stated it wasn't suitable for protection against viruses.
While they tend to ride dust particles and 'aerosol fragments' larger than .3 microns, there are also smaller fragments and dust articles, too. Also the name N95 - 95% of the particles larger than .3 microns are electrostatically captured, not 100%. The MID (minimum infective dose) is 1 for this virus.

Masks to stop viruses are like a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes. Ridiculous.
They will help contain a sneeze or cough, nothing else.
Stupid.

From Google: "One of the worst tragedies in the history of spaceflight occurred on January 27, 1967 when the crew of Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee were killed in a fire in the Apollo Command Module during a preflight test at Cape Canaveral."
U.S. science dictated that the Apollo Command Module be flooded with 100% oxygen, creating a conflagration when the wiring generated a spark. The point to be made is that true science is always questioning its conclusions, always self-correcting. When ideologues try to delegitimate conflicting data, science dies. The Left is killing science while posting yard signs saying "We believe in Science."

2nd post apologies, but, the geniuses at NASA, for the Apollo capsule, failed to include an inside door handle. Had they done that, the astronauts could have simply exited the capsule.
The pap smear was not accepted by medical geniuses for 18 years, I recall;, as a valid test for cervical cancer.
and Dr. Jonas Salk was attacked by Dr. Sabin for creating an 'unsafe' polio vaccine. Sabin was even able to shut down Salk's vaccine for a brief time. But it was Sabin who created a dangerous polio oral vaccine. Salk's vaccine was safe. Did Salk win a Nobel Prize in Medicine? Nope. He was blocked by the medical geniuses.
also related to polio, those who contracted the paralytic strain of the virus in the United States were treated by physicians in exactly the wrong way - physicians placed casts on affected limbs, causing permanent muscle loss.
It took a self-taught Australian nurse , sister Kenney, to develop physical therapy exercises to have her patients regain strength and avoid muscle damage. She was ridiculed in the medical community for her treatment approach.
Finally, in World War II, medical geniuses issued a medication to the troops, to use after sexual intercourse. The slave was to be put on a thin stick which the man was supposed to shove up his penis. It actually increased the likelihood of venereal infections, because of abrasions the stick caused, to the urethra.
the mindless babbling of Old Jo Biden about science is dangerous.

I doubt that masks do much of anything to stop the spread of this China flu AKA Mao's Revenge. Maybe in rare cases when some infected person sneezes close by to someone, the mask might prevent transmission. My grocery store requires masks so I wear one. It's their store, their rule so I comply. A better move is to sanitize the handle on the cart with a wipe of some kind.
A friend's brother did everything to the max...constant handwashing, food delivered, hardly ever left his house and when he did, wore his mask driving to the store and everywhere else. He still contracted the virus, was admitted to the hospital, and died two days later of a massive heart attack. I doubt the virus had anything to do with his death but he still got counted as a Covid death.
You can have your groceries delivered but think about how many times your items have been handled by warehouse people, stockers and the clerk who picks your items for your order. Do you sanitize the gas pump handle when you pump your own? Wear gloves when you open the door to a convenience store? Do you get a daily paper that's been handled by several people? What about that take-out pizza box or hamburber sack? Life is finite for all of us and I don't plan to spend the rest of mine living like a mole.

You need another study. Most doctors agree that there are some masks that are somewhat effective, but the vast majority of people can't get them, so they don't wear them. Masks like the whole liberal agenda is all symbolism over substance.

Common sense tells me that a filter that can't filter out tennis balls will also not filter out grains of salt.
That's an idea of the relative size difference between latex particles in spray paint (which is what paper masks are for) and virus particles

So “scientists” are squelching anything that disagrees with the party line. Yet those of us who even had 8th grade science know that scientists disagree. That is what they do. That is why there is no “settled science”. When they close their minds, and close ranks against any new possibility, we are in trouble. Like now?
