He don’t need no stinking license. A man pulled over for allegedly speeding was discovered to have a whopping eight separate lifetime driving bans, reported Canadian news website the Orangeville Banner. When cops ran a driver’s license check on Toronto resident Timothy Fraser after halting him Oct. 21, they discovered the steering scofflaw’s checkered past. “I’ve never seen that many. This is the first time I’ve seen someone with eight,” Dufferin Ontario Provincial Police Constable Shannon Gordanier told the Banner.(Snip) There is a reason there had been that many prohibitions and therefore, it needs to be taken seriously.”

Comments:

This time he's really in trouble; the next ban will extend into the afterlife.

As usual only law abiding citizens can be made to pay. I was driving in Canada a few years ago and there was a huge sign- i mean yuuuge- by the highway. It said in Canada speak that the speed limit was 60 mph and that if you went 90 you could have your car and license forfeited on the spot. I don’t know at what speed in the US that would happen to you, but I would hate to find out. I wonder how many accidents are caused by exceeding the speed limit and how many by driving 90 mph or faster.

Take away his license, and impound the car for two years. If he has no car impound him for 2 years.

So, a lifetime ban means....nothing, actually. I wonder how fast he was going. Must have been like 35 in a 30 zone or something. If it was really high speed, they'd have reported it.

U.S. intelligence agencies have zeroed in on a bat coronavirus modified during experiments inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) as a possible “backbone” for the virus behind the COVID-19 pandemic, according to American government officials. The virus in question is called RaTG13 and was first mentioned in the State Department fact sheet on the Wuhan lab in January.(Snip) Steven C. Quay, a prominent virologist who took part in a State Department study of the virus, revealed in a scientific analysis made public in January that RaTG13 “is not a pristine biological entity but shows evidence of genetic manipulation in the laboratory.”

Coke is too “woke” for one North Carolina county’s government. Surry County has voted to ban all Coca-Cola vending machines in its office buildings over backlash to the Atlanta-based soft drink maker’s criticism of new restrictive Georgia voting laws. “The left wing in America, they defund, they boycott, they cancel, they tear down statues—all sorts of egregious actions,” Eddie Harris, a county commissioner, told WXII in a video interview. “The expectation from them is the opposing political side will cower in the corner and we’re supposed to accept that and it’s supposed to be OK.
