Democratic presidential nominee Joseph R. Biden unleashed a gusher of criticism for his debate comment about making a “transition” from the oil industry, but former Democratic primary rival Pete Buttigieg was solidly in Mr. Biden’s corner.
“Remember, there’s no do-over on climate,” Mr. Buttigieg said Friday on CNN. “We’re literally entering the event horizon. We’ve got a matter of just a few short years before some of these things become irreversible.”
Mr. Biden sought to clarify his comments after saying at Thursday night’s debate that “I would transition from the oil industry, yes,”

Dimocrats absolutely hate it when we are not subservient to other enemy countries and dependent on them for the energy to cook our breakfast.

When did Jimmy (the smartest guy to ever inhabit the White House) Carter say we would run out of oil?

The bad news is they may lose a lot of votes in key battleground states that determine the electoral college totals needed to win. The good news is they are picking up a lot of support from the electric commercial airliner industry. NASA will be looking at going to Mars using wind energy and the lumber industry is excited about eliminating plastic and making wooden cell phones (they float!). Maybe Joe doesn't really know what he's talking about, ya think?

I sure would love to hear Buttguy try to explain how we're supposed to power up cargo ship and airplanes on wind and solar power or on Tesla chargers. Or are we just supposed to scrap those modes of transportation and return to the days of the Pony Express? The Rats are the modern day equivalent of the Luddites.

I want to see these idiots put their money where their mouths are. They need to stop using any form of fossil fueled transportation. Because they're also anti 2nd amendment, they need to give up any armed security they have. They need to be good examples and show us how it's done.

Even if the planet is warming - and that's a big if - there is no scientifically verifiable evidence that it is caused by human activity. Correlation is not causation. And the "Opinion" of "scientists" is not science. Even more suspect is the conclusion drawn by Petey and company that, even if climate change is occurring and it is human-caused, it will result in harm to the planet. As far as historians can tell, periods of warmth have been beneficial to biomass production on earth. So why are the tea leaves now predicting disaster?

He must be angling for a job with Biden regime. I wish someone would point out to these Communist loving idiots that all of these poor people that they keep promising to help would not be able to get to work without oil and gas. They can't afford new expensive electric cars, so what about them? Look around at all of the new and older homes in America. They are everywhere and many are small. The people who own them can't afford to put in new heat and air even with the Government handouts. They will be paying huge amounts in new taxes which will cut their wages which will keep them from buying new cars or houses. The Democrats don't care. They just want control and money in their stinking pockets. I could go on but you all get my drift.

I really like #4's reply. I was thinking something similar last night when Biden admitted he was going to "transition away" from oil and gas. Trump did very well last night, but a part of me wishes he'd asked Biden, "So, you think it's a good idea to convert our Air Force jets and helicopters over to electric? And you'd like Air Force One running on batteries, is that it?"
It makes me laugh because it shows the absurdity of the whole idea. The only drawback is, it would become the center of the conversation, when the real point is Biden may just have written off Pennsylvania and Texas by saying something so stupid during a debate

Easy to spout cr@p when you have no concept on what it takes to produce a gallon of gas. I challenge these morons to step into an oil rig worker's boots for one week, not on land but on an offshore oil platform.

Buttigieg is truly disgusting... but let's just stick to his multitudinous lies... all made with a straight face. It is distressing to hear Democrats (who proclaim themselves loyal Americans) LIE so much to the nation. I say if they do not love America, send them packing to the third-world country of their choice.

Hey buttplug, just shove it...(pun intended)..still looking for his 2 seconds of fame...let me see, first it was 100 years, then 50 years then obamazombie said the oceans would rise, then AOC (the enlightened bar maid) said 5....sounds just like they make this stuff up as they go and no one knows what the other is predicting doom-wise....love it when the Pres referred to AOC +three in the debate...if it was 'settled' science, then 98% of scientists would be on board and there is NO where near that number that agree...

The Green Valley shale formation in Colorado is rated by the U.S.G.S. as having over 2 trillion barrels of oil in 'tight formation' (shale... which can be fracked out.) At 80-90$/bbl, they estimated that over 1.2 trillion barrels were recoverable. And THAT is before adding the fields in Texas, NY, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio.... dare I go on?

If the event horizon for the extinction of the human race is only a short time away then how does Mr. Buttigieg and his leftist compatriots explain their tolerance of Chinese and Russian hyper-pollution per the Paris Accords? Mr. Buttigieg is the son of Joseph Buttigieg who was an English professor at Notre Dame, translated Gramsci’s “Prison Notebooks” into English and was the founder of The International Gramsci Society devoted to communication between those who study Antonio Gramsci. Gramsci was an Italian radical in the late 1800’s who advocated infiltrating social institutions such as schools, churches, media and government to plant Marxist ideology into the fabric of resistant societies. I can’t help but wonder if Joseph Buttigieg was a Marxist and, if so, whether his affectIon for Communism passed down to his only child.
