The New Yorker suspended reporter Jeffrey Toobin after he was caught masturbating during a Zoom call last week with New Yorker and WNYC radio members, according to a report.
VICE reports:
Two people who were on the call told VICE separately that the call was an election simulation featuring many of the New Yorker’s biggest stars: Jane Mayer was playing establishment Republicans; Evan Osnos was Joe Biden, (Snip)Both people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to speak freely, noted that it was unclear how much each person saw, but both said that they saw Toobin jerking off.

New Yorker editor memo to all staffers: "...Please be assured that we take such matters seriously and that we are looking into it.'"
I take such matters hysterically. And I would pay real money not to look into it at all. Meanwhile, CNN says that Toobin has requested "some time off while he deals with a personal issue."
Sounds like he's been dealing with his "personal issues" pretty effectively on company time.

No words.
A guy like this of course could justify anything. Which says a lot about his public statements and published ideas.
You just have to ask yourself— what kind of people are really at the wheel in media?

Sounds like he was involved with an on line sexcapade with another person and he mistook that call for the New Yorker Zoom session. There is more to this than is being reported.

If there is ONE thing I would never want to be caught on camera (let alone a live ZOOM call would be jerking off! Wow! Must have been a very “compelling reason? Does he have kids? I hope not! “THANKS DAD”!

Jeffrey Toobin is such a lying creep (or creepy liar) that there must be a political job awaiting him around the next corner--as a Democrat.

Always and forever a first class horse’s ass, the ever-arrogant but socially dimwitted Jeffrey Toobin will think it’s The New Yorker’s loss. Pity his poor parents, wife and children. Harvard and Harvard Law School are among his alma maters and they are looking worse and worse based on who they graduate. Paula Jones, who Toobin ruthlessly mocked during the Clinton administration, has more nobility and class on a bad day than Toobin can ever hope to muster in his lifetime.

Nothing will be learned about the law from Toobin. He is an idiot. A person might learn to keep personal and work separate, including a separate work and personal computer. People like Toobin would charge both to business expense.
