Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker said on Sunday that his state was not going in the right direction when it came to fighting the coronavirus, attributing its failures to President Trump’s allies. "People are not following the mitigations, because the modeling is so bad at the leadership level, the federal level,” (Snip) “We are trying to get the word out and you're trying to continue to convince people to do the right thing but it is the president's allies in our state, all across the state, who are simply saying to people don't pay any attention to the mitigations, don't follow the rules.”

Isn't it a strange coincidence how covid deaths are elevated in Blue states over Red states? Trump gave every Govenor discretion on how to handle this-the results speak for themselves, Gov. Pritzker. It's all on YOU.

Trump stated from the very beginning that he was directing FEMA to work directly with each governor to handle things in their state with regards to resources needed, etc...
I would hope the President repeats this in the upcoming "debate".
I hope he also mentions something about the terrible comments Joe made about GOP Senate candidate John James of Michigan, and how well John James replied.
The President needs to stealthily support candidates in key Senate and House races as part of his answers.
And, make sure he reminds people that the whole Russian collusion scheme was Democrat run, Democrat funded, and Democrats using mis-using government institutions too.

Trump used federalism.....the national leaders offer support, guidance and financial help, and the individual states were free to do what they wanted.
And the "wonderful" Hillary supporting Fauci was the primary source of the advice given out. The media and the Dems LOVE Fauci. Trump just called Fauci "a disaster" today.

He is a liberal Democrat so you know that he is going to try to weasel out of the blame for COVID in Illinois and fraudulently blame President Trump, when all the legitimate blame rests with the Communist Chinese. That Governor was always in charge of the COVID response in his State just like all the other State Governors. Monday morning quarterbacking by liberal Democrats on long past information based on data and information known to medical science during those past times will only fool very low information voters who most likely intend to vote for incompetent Democrats anyway, so that Governor is actually wasting his time.

Casting blame like that will work as well as the rest of the policies enacted by Illinois.

I was at the grocery store yesterday in Chicago. At the deli counter and throughout the store, I saw many likely Biden voters (members of the group that votes over 90% Democrat) wearing masks under their noses. At the risk of being called a Karen, I asked the woman at the deli counter to pull her mask up. She did so, somewhat grudgingly, but none of the other under-nose workers did. If this is non-mitigation as Governor Hotel Clerk says, how is it Trump's fault?

Masks don't stop the virus, Taking care of your immune system does. Why aren't these so called leaders informing people on how to do that?

#7, spot on. Around Philadelphia I see this all the time. Usually it's the community punk's fellow brethren who wear masks below the nose or below the chin, and it's not just one person. Within a supermarket I have counted up to 6/8 employees who wear them below rather than covering their nose.... Fat slob Pritzker should keep his breath just so that he can crawl back to the next meal again!
