Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who now serves on Joe Biden's transition team, suggested Sunday that President Trump’s supreme court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, poses a threat to his marriage. "There are all kinds of interesting questions about the future of the American judiciary, but right now, as we speak, the preexisting condition coverage of millions of Americans might depend on what is about to happen in the Senate with regard to this justice," Buttigieg told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace. Buttigieg, who married his husband in 2018, then suggested that the Obama-era same-sex marriage ruling could be considered

B'H #1, don't forget feeeeelings, whoa whoa whoa feeeelings! LOL Alfred E Newman, the abysmal failure of a candidate and mayor (hopefully forever) has spoken. . .must be so. I anticipated he would say "It was a debate!" repeated ad nauseam for emphasis (i.e., it is expected to be a lie). It appears Biden (and his puppeteers) have chosen to assimilate (and or pay) the leftist leftists into the campaign and hangers on and projected cabinet members, in order to appease the brownshirts and MSM and other anti-American fascistas. mAGA KAG TRUMP 2020 -- yeeeaaah!

If things are so shaky that one Supreme Court judge can ruin your arrangement, then it is already ruined. And if one Supreme Being really has this much power, why don't we just get rid of them all? Why do you want more of them? .

The saddest part is that when state referendums are held to define marriage as man/woman, they pass by about 2/3. Then along come the courts. I think Mayor Pete has it backwards. In more ways than one.

Marriage is an institution created by God with the purpose of facilitating loving and loyal families and protecting and nurturing children. No amount of usurping the terminology will ever make it truth. God created a union between one man and one woman. Period. Man can make up whatever he wants, but it will never redefine marriage. Leftists are want to redefine words in a manner that suits their dogma. Gays may have partnerships, civil unions but they are not married. God recognizes His definition of marriage. I am always puzzled by why gays want to use the term marriage when they reject His Word. Then I remember. It’s never been about marriage. It’s always been about forcing Christians to accept their lifestyle.

The absolute worst thing that could happen is that this huge federal government over-reach would be overturned, and the issue would go back to the states. With the exception of a few very conservative southern states, very few states would outlaw homosexual "marriage". And all of them would still allow homosexual couples to live together -- they just couldn't get a marriage license or have state benefits. The state Butt-boy lives in certainly would not outlaw it. Just because lie-berals love to have wet dreams about the federal government becoming "big brother" and controlling every aspect of our lives, the reality of our system just doesn't allow that!!!

A Knight Foundation survey on trust in the media taken earlier this year found that 86 percent of Americans—including 94 percent of Republicans and 88 percent of Independents—see “a great deal” or “a fair amount” of political bias in news coverage, compared with 62 percent in 2017. Further, Americans perceive inaccurate news to be intentional, either because the reporter is misrepresenting the facts (54 percent) or making them up entirely (28 percent). These findings come from 20,000 interviews conducted between November 2019 and February 2020—before the Democrats had chosen Joe Biden as their nominee. Since that time, media election coverage has demonstrated that public distrust in the press is well deserved.

Whether he did it accidentally, on purpose, or (most likely) something in between, when Hunter Biden left a laptop loaded with incriminating evidence about himself and his family, at a computer repair shop in Delaware, he was trying to tell us something. That something was that his father, aka the “big guy,” who had only days before announced he was running for president, was big trouble. You don’t have to be Sigmund Freud to figure that out. Nor is it hard to figure out why Hunter might have become an addict and engaged in other self-destructive acts not suitable for a family website but apparently immortalized on the hard drive.

Party affiliation, as reflected in polls, is weirdly volatile. While experience suggests that most people change their party affiliation only rarely if at all, what respondents tell pollsters tends to bounce around. Currently, Gallup finds that slightly more Americans identify as Republicans than Democrats. (Snip for chart) At the link, you can see the numbers going back to 2004. For what it is worth, in October 2016 the Democrats held a five-point lead. On the negative side, when independents were asked which way they lean, they said Democrat by a three-point margin. Still, the recent shift toward Republican identification is interesting. Maybe some voters, when they focus more closely

America’s economy, still rebounding from the pandemic, is at major risk from Joe Biden’s economic plans, warns a new Hoover Institution paper. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta just released a “running estimate” of real GDP growth for the third quarter of a whopping 35.3 percent, a historic spike that would offset much of the COVID-caused losses. Yet Biden’s plans threaten the recovery; the Hoover economists project that his program would shave “employment per person by about 3 percent, the capital stock per person by about 15 percent, real GDP per capita by more than 8 percent and real consumption per household by about 7 percent.”

A federal appeals court ruled in favor of the Texas government Monday, saying mail-in ballots are more prone to voter fraud and blocking a lower court decision that could have upended the state’s signature-match requirement for those ballots. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that under Texas law, in-person voting is the norm and voting by mail is the exception, reserved for special cases such as the elderly and disabled. And requiring those ballots to be accompanied by a valid signature is not an undue burden, given the state’s interest in preventing voter fraud, the court ruled.

There are conservatives who lie, and there are liberals who lie, but both conservatism and liberalism hold truth to be a supreme value. This is not true for leftism. Truth is simply not a left-wing value. Lying is to the left what breathing is to biological life. That is why the father of modern leftism, Vladimir Lenin, named the Soviet communist newspaper "Pravda," the Russian word for "truth." Truth is what a leftist says it is. It is not an objective reality. The left has always relied on lies to gain and retain power. This is as true today in the United States as it was in the Soviet Union.

The greatest significance of the Republican wave election of 2010 was not the new majority it produced in the U.S. House. Even greater was its effects down ballot. Prior to that election, Republicans had controlled only 37 of the nation's 99 state legislative chambers (including Nebraska's unicameral Legislature, whose members are nonpartisan in name only). When the dust settled, they controlled 55. This didn't just create the possibility of making conservative policy at the state level.
