On June 3, 2020, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee to discuss his role in how Main Justice was operating while Andrew Weissmann’s special counsel was in charge. What he said in that hearing never quite made sense until yesterday. (Photo) Those who closely followed the arc of the Weissmann/Mueller investigation; and those who joined us in following that investigation; already knew the SCO was in complete control from May 2017 to April 2019. Everything taking place inside the DOJ in the two years of the Mueller/Weissmann probe was completely and unequivocally controlled by the Weissmann team.

Frankly, I am growing weary of this whole mess. The more that is revealed, the less impact it appears to have on any possibility that anyone will be held accountable. It looks like to me, this was an effort by the FBI and DOJ to do whatever they deemed necessary to arrive at their preconceived narrative. They knew what their goal was and they were going to make it happen by skirting the law in any way possible. These guys are excellent at what they do too. They have had decades of experience making sure that they get whatever outcome they desire instead of following the evidence. They are ruthless, criminal and manipulative. I fear that far too many tasked to have oversight avert their gaze which allows these miscreants to do whatever they deem necessary. Who believes the FBI and DOJ can police themselves? We are being played. I doubt very much that the truth and nothing but the truth will ever be known and I am fairly confident that none of these conspirators will ever face justice. There are just too many in the system who are willing to protect it.

The only way the citizens of this country have the tiniest hope of hearing what happened (let alone seeing justice done) is the re-election of Donald J. Trump...and even then I fear Atty General Barr will manage to ignore most of the findings and cover up the rest. This will drag out till the next inauguration in 2025 with only Republicans getting indicted and convicted with jail time.
We have been watching this farce for nearly 30 years!

I don't know if Barr is corrupt, but he hasn't done squat.
The FBI and CIA are as worthless as teats on a boar hog.

Many months ago - - I posted my list of The Four Most Criminal Traitors Who Should Be Hung From The Gallows - - 0bama, Brennan, Weissmann, Warner.
All of the astounding bombshell revelations since then have confirmed my choices. Nothing has changed them. I had it nailed!

So what? Any dim indictments yet? Barr has successfully run out the clock. Same as Sessions did.

Re #6, the wives of Mueller and Barr were said to attend the same Bible study group. If that makes them “besties”, I’m not seeing it.
As for Barr, we can rant away. Everything takes too long. We read media reports. Most here did not read the earlier reports from CTH which foretold how sprawling (and that is the correct word, used widely) this mess was. It was believed to have begun in 2016; now Durham has found it went back much further than that. I’ve seen 8 years mentioned (that would be Obama’s full term in office). When articles from CTH were posted here, they were ignored or Replies said they were too long, too complicated. They were not read.
For more than two years most of the documentation (evidence) was held hostage by the Mueller/Weissman investigation. Barr came into this mess two years ago.
There are wise people writing about what Barr and Durham are trying to achieve. Grand jury indictments (they have to convince grand juries to bring indictments - they do not do the indictments) and we have had a Covid19 virtual shutdown of all the courts for the better part of a year. Those who know about such things said that caused problems with witnesses appearing before the grand jury. Those are never given as excuses, attempts to fool anyone. Just simple facts from those who know what has and has not been able to go on.
We are feeding the Dems so much anti-Trump propaganda on our own threads - questioning his ability to appoint the right people (though Bob Barr and John Durham are believed to be the best and only prosecutors who could handle a sprawling coup like this one. Those same legal experts believe that they want to get those as far up the food chain as possible and make cases that stick.
We post from ignorance. I don’t know of any self-admitted lawyers who post on these threads. Yet on we charge. Often withot even reading the articles.
This is not the LCom I joined up with years ago where members actually read the articles and were not so quick to say “how high?” when the MSM said “Jump (on Trump)!!!!”
As someone who posted most of the investigative articles from CTH and elsewhere on this dreadful conspiracy, I am disappointed in what I see now from those who mostly didn’t even read the articles because they were “too complicated”…yet we expect immediate gratification from the prosecutors trying to put together prosecutions that actually stick. That can’t be undone on appeal because of lack of evidence or prosecutorial weakness. Why don’t we let them do their work rather than piling on with the same ugly accusations...

For those who don’t understand why the Obamagate investigation isn’t going faster, from Charles Lipson at RCP:
The Gordian Knot here is the unavoidable, unresolvable tension between the proper procedures used to investigate complex, white-collar crimes and the inherently political nature of the crimes being investigated in this case. The logic of law enforcement pulls on one end of the rope. The logic of informed, democratic choice pulls on the other end. One demands secrecy; the other, openness. Both are completely legitimate. Because they pull in opposite directions in this case, the knot keeps getting tighter. Secretive criminal investigations proceed with a logic that is fundamentally different from that of free and open democratic elections. Each has its own timetable, and the gap between them cannot be closed by Election Day 2020.
Durham has moved on a legal timetable, not a political one. That’s entirely appropriate. But it comes at a high cost to voters and to the Trump White House. It leaves the attorney general with no way to inform citizens what his department has discovered before they cast ballots. Although Barr could speak about the broad contours of his findings, doing so would seem partisan and, in any case, would be hard to do without naming names. Those names should only be revealed through criminal charges or court cases. Indict or shut up. Violating that cardinal rule was the same mistake FBI Director James Comey made when he discussed Hillary Clinton’s emails and server. Barr and Durham won’t repeat it.

A read of the entire Lipson article wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I hate to admit post #1... you are probably right.... DC will cover their buddies and laugh at trendy cocktail parties how stupid WE Americans are....BUT....they don't really know US... WE may not have law degrees and have graduated from Harvard or Yale...but we have common sense.... no politician will be able to put forth any one of these as credible and even their DC peers are laughing at them....weissmann is out from under the rock and NO one trusts him....so some justice may have been served...

Re #3, based upon the article and the rest of the document in the photo, I’d say that redacted section IV was about Michael Flynn, Jr., used by Weissman et al as a lever to get Michael Flynn, Sr. to confess to protect his son.

I support TCT with my checkbook. Just as I do Lucianne! His site has done more to expose the deep state Wall Street vs Main Street globalist cabal than anyone. Trillions at stake. Praying for this election. Our future depends on it!

I am glad to see a Conservative Treehouse piece as a must read. Sundance has done excellent work revealing the Anti-American coup at the DoJ and FBI. The swamp is too deep and our lawyers too timid. Any friend of the communists will be exonerated by a Washington DC jury. There is no justice for Patriots. Vote, vote that HoJoe do not steal the election.

The Lipson article made it a little easier for me to appreciate how daunting the task before John Durham must be. He sounds a bit like Donald Trump, moving forward on the path he is charged with following, regardless of what the critics say. This delay has caused Barr’s critics to sound just like the alarmists on the left who say he can’t be trusted.
We are seeing more and more of the declassified information the swamp tried to hide. It’s unfortunate we have so few journalists and media outlets willing to share that information. To put it another way, our MSM is so biased, one is likely to get more verifiable information from a Trump ad, than from our current crop of “journalists.”
On the brighter side, Donald Trump and the American people won’t be wasting their time on a debate “moderated” but Steve Scully.
