Joe Biden’s town hall drew more TV viewers than President Trump’s competing event on Thursday night, according to early figures. An average of 13.9 million viewers tuned in to ABC to watch Biden field questions from voters from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., compared to 13.1 million who watched Trump do the same on NBC, MSNBC and CNBC, initial Nielsen ratings show, according to the Wrap. Of course. They wanted to watch Biden struggle to get his sentences straight. Also to find out first hand how Georgie handled it. I switched back and forth to compare the two. Biden was pathetic. Trump was on his game even though that woman kept her attack up. Georgie could have at least asked Biden about his close association with Robert Byrd the KKK member.

Does not mean a thing, as Trump supporters are now very wise to the type of adversarial debate or town hall that the alphabet networks would set up to try to make President Trump look bad. That did not work for the alphabet newworks last evening, and an awful lot of Trump supporters did not waste their time watching.

I do wonder how many were curious about how he'd perform and wondering if he'd be asked about Hunter's emails. Also heard via Rush that the first few minutes, on which many ratings are based, many experienced transmission difficulties. Whether these were intentional to drive down Trump's ratings is a good question. I brought up the town hall on YouTube and it worked fine 100% of the time.

All told, Trump came out on top with the most viewers online and on TV combined — with 17.8 million views versus Biden’s 16.8 million.
Bottom line: Donald Trump drew 1 MILLION more viewers than Joe Biden.

Our local nbc didn't even air Trump but abc had biden on. They aired Trump 3 hours later on tape.

I tuned in for a few minutes during commercials just to see what kind of softballs Biden was getting. I’m sure millions of Trump viewers did too,

On Rush today, he explained how he received numerous calls last night from people saying they couldn't get on to the NBC Trump Town Hall debate.
Rush went on to explain it happened across the country. He then said they that monitor the first fifteen minutes of a show to get the number of people tuned in. Sounds like getting the tuned in number for the debate was rigged from the get go. Someone pulled the switch to give the boost to ABC. I wouldn't know, I watched Tucker who had a great show last night about Hunter and he's going to have another tonight.
Americans are fed up with the childish antics of the media. We have the rallies and don't need them. They are worthless. In fact, they can all out of business and I'll never miss them.

I couldn't find the NBC debate. I searched every NBC channel that I could find, even the sports channel and there was nothing. Nothing was listed in the guide, even though ABC the listing called it something like "An evening with the Vice President" not former VP. Nothing for Trump. I also thought that they were supposed to be on at the same time, which is why they were all calling foul. I never heard that Trump's would be an hour earlier.
I saw enough with the clips on Hannity. That Savannah Guthrie didn't do women any favors. All I could think was "shrill, argumentative harpy." She sounded just like Behar.
The clips of Joe were predictable and, of course, insane.

Many parts of the country had service interruptions for the early part of the Trump debate with Guthrie. On some local networks you had to go to MSNBC to view the debate. Do you think a little monkey business was going on to skew the numbers? Asking for a friend.

Trumps supporters already know they are voting for him & he’s been very visible all along. I tuned into biden to see him implode. I wasn’t disappointed.

NBC can probably thank Guthrie for that. I’ve heard from people who said they tuned out because of her.

So Sleepy Joe puts a LID on his campaign by 9 AM most days and Mattressback ain't travelling either. She's hiding out because a couple of her employees tested POSITIVE. Do they not test her ?
Voters in this country are now supposed to decide who the executive branch of OUR country is going to be when Dems won't tell us hat we do unless they win.
Seems like an easy pick to me.

Trump's appearance was also tape-delayed for us, but Biden's was shown early in the evening. Of course early ratings would be higher for Biden - Trump's wasn't even on yet for many viewers.

WHY would I want to watch media hacks like Guthrie unfairly attack my President. It's pointless. I will follow up the next day with information from sources that I trust to get the gist of what happened. I caught a brief snip on the evening news because my wife watches it. Guthrie was screething at Trump like a mad woman. There is no value in watching such trash. I already know Trump's stand on most major issues and more important I know his heart, America and her People first.
I don't listen to Biden because his endless babble turns your brain to mush. The pathetic thing is, the media pretends all is well when it is obviously not. 18 days and we will see how it turns out. I think Trump will win handily. I wonder what the losers will do?

I watched both to compare the nasty treatment of Trump to the cheer leading questions to Biden. Surely, others did the same.

Biden did not field questions from voters. He caught the softballs lobbed by demoncrat partisans. It was not the same as what President Trump had to put with Guthrie, at all.

Trump has been the most accessible/transparent President of my lifetime and I was born under FDR. The only reason to watch Trump's event was to see how bad NBC would try to beat up on him. Biden's campaign has consisted of a few scripted appearances with minimal audiences, short speeches and usually ducking out to avoid questions. I tuned in to Biden for a short while, realized it was in effect, a campaign ad and tuned out.

Biden came on Comcast ABC in Tucson at 5 pm. President Trump was on MSNBC at 5 pm also. I did not find him on NBC. I DVR’d both. Both were also repeated on the same channels later. Of cours, those who do not have cable or satellite did not see the President.

In reading the posts, I see the difference. President Trump's supporters went to the Biden TH for varies reasons. On the other hand most dems would not check out President Trump because Orange Man Bad. After things settled down the numbers corrected.

Might have been more viewers only because they were waiting for Old Joe to provide some constructive solutions to our so called problems and answer some new questions, but they were disappointed once again.

For those who made up our mind long ago, why watch, knowing it would be unfair to the President ?
Why watch Plugs, knowing they would pamper him ?
