Wells Fargo Fires More Than 100 Employees
For Alleged Coronavirus Relief Fraud

Wells Fargo has fired more than 100 employees, saying they personally defrauded a coronavirus relief program from the U.S. Small Business Administration. In a memo sent Wednesday and obtained by NPR, the company said it had identified employees that it believes made false representations in applying for relief funds through the SBA's Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. The employees' actions were outside of their work responsibilities, the company said. "We have terminated the employment of those individuals and will cooperate fully with law enforcement. These wrongful actions were personal actions, and do not involve our customers,"

Wells Fargo seems to be a snakes' nest of problems and fraud.

One or two is an individual criminal endeavor. One hundred is a systemic problem that had to have management knowledge and/or approval.

Who's to say limited to this one corporation? Or institution? Or form of abuse? With the rapid release of SO MUCH money in the form of aid - relatively little was put in place to prevent it. It is rampant.

It seems that Wells Fargo's business plan is to make huge profits from its illegal activities and pay fines that merely nick its profits. Wells Fargo gross profit for the twelve months ending June 30, 2020 was $77.423 BILLION. This past February Wells Fargo was fined $3 billion by federal authorities because of millions of fake accounts created over many years. The feds need to do more than impose fines. Some Wells Fargo officers need to be imprisoned.

This is why I hope Trump and Nancy never agree on a new stimulus package. I’m sure taxpayers are footing the bill for billions in fraud and what I’d like to know is why government employees, who never missed a paycheck, still got a check.

As a recipient of SS I also got a check for $1200 which I gave to charities because I saw no reason for old folks to need help. We still got our SS every month.

In what has been called a once-in-a-generation event, a complete and original copy of Shakespeare’s First Folio sold for a record-setting price just under $10 million at auction earlier this week. The First Folio, published in 1623, was the first complete printed collection of Shakespeare’s plays. Published seven years after the author’s death, the book marked not only the first complete collection of Shakespeare’s works, but also the first time those works were organized as comedies, tragedies and histories. There are around 235 copies known to exist, and only six complete ones owned privately.

Mainstream media have mostly ignored or dismissed as “old claims” the interim Senate report into Hunter Biden’s shady business dealings in Ukraine, but the most explosive content in the report may be his engagement with China. The report details how the Democratic presidential nominee’s son has “extensive connections to Chinese businesses and Chinese foreign nationals that are linked to the Communist government.” Consider, for example, the Bohai Harvest RST (BHR) investment fund, partly owned and directed by Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, through their private equity fund, Rosemont Seneca Partners.

In Iran, this summer was a season of combustions. As fires and explosions followed hard upon one another, the New York Times reported that “for many Iranians, anticipating what will blow up next has become a kind of parlor game.” Some of these conflagrations must have been natural occurrences: A string of forest fires owed much to a period of intense heat. Some fires or blasts at industrial facilities were likely the consequence of derelict maintenance due to foreign sanctions or managerial incompetence. Others, however, were attributed to arson or the detonation of bombs.

Less than a month before the presidential election, one billed as “the most important of our lifetime,” Donald Trump’s chances in the forecasts have shrunk to impossibly small. More conventional Republican talking heads decry his tone and demeanor on cable news, confident that he will be rejected by the voters in November. Democrats appear to be poised to claim not just the presidency, but Congress as well in a decisive victory that will usher in a new, progressive era of politics. Sound familiar? Of course, these words perfectly describe not only 2020, but also 2016, and the ending of that story is all too well-known.

Most Willie Nelson fans know at least a little about his idyllic Hill Country world headquarters, home to his ranch, his golf course, his recording studio, and his Old West movie set, Luck, Texas. But lesser known in the lore is Willie World’s gritty urban prototype, a sprawling fourteen-acre complex Willie owned for much of the eighties in the heart of Austin’s city limits. The property ran along South Congress Avenue near the now-famous Continental Club, barely a half mile south of what was then called Town Lake, stretching east from the intersection at Academy Drive. He’d bought it on the cheap, in 1977,

It’s an article of faith among many conservatives, and some liberals, that we’re being swept by a Maoist cultural revolution destined to transform American society into a woke collective. Yet before surrendering basics like equality of opportunity, social order, and free speech to leftist authoritarians, we should consider whether they’re the ones who will wind up getting canceled. Most Americans don’t favor defunding police or instituting race quotas; they are wary of the costs connected with the Green New Deal and of allowing Washington to control local zoning. Many are already voting with their feet, fleeing places that promote these ideas and seeking out areas aligned with more recognizable American values.

All Hail Justice Barrett! Here she is: Mrs. America. Amy Coney Barrett rode into D.C. a few weeks ago like a Valkyrie galloping forth to vanquish foes in her Honda Odyssey minivan. Impervious to the slings and arrows of sputtering Democrats, immune to the dastardly virus someone snuck into her Rose Garden event, she smiled, presented her lovely parade of children, and introduced herself to the country. Paparazzi video of Amy Coney Barrett caught her leaving her home in South Bend, Indiana the morning of the official announcement. I watched in awe as she shepherded her brood into her minivan, all dressed up, hair combed, dressed to kill.

While the 2000 election was heavily contested and ended in a dramatic Supreme Court ruling that Democrats have bemoaned for decades, the 2020 Election Day just might top it. A new poll released by the Pew Research Center shows a strong divide between Biden and Trump voters going into election day. Whether it’s on voting, core American values, and goals, or election results, the split shows a divided electorate in method and on issues. When it comes to presidential candidates, most people who claim to be voting for former Vice President Joe Biden say that they are doing so to vote against incumbent President Donald Trump.

The question is whether the Democrats can block Barrett’s nomination through this ploy.I don’t think they can. A quorum in the full Senate is 51 members. In the Judiciary Committee it’s nine members including two from the minority party.
