Ben Sass is a holier than thou creep in the very weak Mittens Romney mode, who was able to fake out the Cornhuskers of Nebraska and be elected to the Senate. That is not the first time that has happened in Nebraska in the last 25 years. There is no doubt that he intends to run for President, maybe as Romney’s Vice-President in 2024. If that happens they will lead the Republican Party down the garden path and they will loose. If you watched Sass do his smart ass thing when he talked with Judge Amy Barrett yesterday and the Cornhuskers should take note for future reference.

If the President "ignored" the virus, I wonder who it was that locked the country down, as recommended as recommended by all his advisers, got a trillion dollars of emergency funding to the people, created an emergency program that built tens of thousands of ventilators when the docs were calling for them, built thousands of new hospital beds, moved a Navy hospital ship to two big cities clamoring for more medical facilities, cut through tons of red tape to move vaccines forward as quickly as possible, and hundreds of additional things? Ignored? Senator, you are either the blandest idiot

As #5 wondered, so do I. Whenever I see the name Ben Sasse, the first thoughts springing up involve remembering an extended series of posts on Twitter a few years ago tying Sasse to Dennis Hastert and the problem of pedophilia involving Congressional pages. In Sasse's case, I don't think it's a Chinese problem.

Look, forget Sass and his anti-Trump opinions. Sass intends to run for President in 2024 or run as Mittens Romney’s Vice-President in 2024. Right now President Trump and Vice-President Pence are standing in Sass’s and Romney’s path to do that, as if Trump and Pence are re-elected there is no doubt that Pence will be the front runner for the Republican nomination and Pence is not about to pick the backstabbed Sass as his Vice-President. After this incident with Sass putting down Trump right before the election, Sass can forget any future votes from Trump supporters, and no Republican can win the Republican nomination for President or Vice-President without the votes of Trump supporters in the future. In other words Sass knocked himself out as far as most grass roots Republicans are concerned.

I think Senator Sasse has the person he is referring to mixed up, he means VP Biden. He definitely qualifies for all those characterizations of treating government as a business opportunity, he got rich with his son. This backstabbing little viper is one of my senators. He did have a challenger in the Republican primary who was a good guy, and a real Trump supporter, but then Trump came out and endorsed Sasse, and well, you know how that turned out. Sasse is not well-liked by Republican voters, but he is a well-connected, well-funded swamp dweller. Our other senator is the equally worthless Deb Fischer, and we also gave you Chuck Hagel, Ben (Obamacare) Nelson, and Bob Kerrey. Sorry. All of these people represent themselves as conservatives (even Kerrey, as a conservative democrat) when they run, and then every single one of them goes the Paul Ryan route. Believe me, we are as disgusted with Sasse as you are, and we are probably stuck with him for another 6 years. I write to him regularly—not love letters—just as I wrote to him tonight. The really perplexing part is that Sasse is up for re-election against a popular democrat member of the black community. I am so torn, as I despise Sasse, but I know how important the senate is for Republicans.

The arrest of Tappe comes as President Trump and New York voting rights advocates have expressed concerns about snafus including voter fraud because of the unprecedented number of mail-in ballots being filed and processed to lessen in-person voting and prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The move could heighten tensions between California and the president over wildfires. California saw record fires this year, fueled by several factors including climate change. Trump has repeatedly criticized California for its handling of fire policy, sometimes with misleading claims, and had rejected the role of rising temperatures as a factor.
