Yelp has created a new label to warn users about businesses accused of racism following an uptick in reports of discrimination. The review platform says the alert will help consumers decide whether they’ll be welcome at a particular business—but some conservatives fear it will be used to “destroy” merchants with false allegations. Yelp says it will place the notice on the profiles of businesses that see an influx of reviews after getting public attention for reports of “racist conduct” and direct users to a news article with more details about the allegations. “As the nation reckons with issues of systemic racism,

What on earth is “racist conduct” according to Yelp? Are contractors lynching black folks in their homes after repairing their dry wall? Landscapers deliberately trimming transgender bushes incorrectly? For crying out loud.

With any luck at all, this will FINALLY destroy YELP which has been abused by fake reviewers for years. One-star reviews by users on one coast posting that they will never again set foot in some business, usually a restaurant, on the opposite coast due to some claim, usually political or racial, that "goes viral", such as someone in San Diego posting that they will now avoid some business in Maine. YELP has been useless for way too long already.

OK, then the solution to this is to break their system. Get ALL businesses labeled. That ends it.

Time to set up some fake accounts and label all liberal establishments as having racist behavior. I'm sure they are racist to conservative, religious white folk!

Thanks for the self-confession of toxic wokeness, Yelp. I just removed you from my smartphone apps. Wish I could hear your YELP!

How about just marking the businesses with, say, a yellow star of David, so good Nazi's, I mean, consumers can boycott them, and, hey, let's make their owners and staff all wear a scarlet letter "R" on their foreheads to "help consumers decide".

So Yelp has decided to be sued out of business. Smart. There's some people with good business sense. Take something that's working, like pro sports, watch them go out of business for being woke, then copy it. Unbelievable.

Yelp should be reported for their fascism and unwillingness to remove bogus reviews posted by rabid liberals that disagree with the politics of the owner.
I will report them. Will you join me?

Yelp is another useless website. Banned me because I gave a previously disastrously-managed gas station a rave review when it opened under new management and was great. They manage their “reviews”. Bogus site.

The problem with this feature is that there is no cost to anyone falsely reporting a racist experience. If you file a false police report you can be charged but not when you libel a business on Yelp. One solution would be to require any racism reporters to post a cash bond, say $50, that would be refunded once Yelp could verify your charge through other independent witnesses. Even this small cost would limit the number of libelous reports. They reports cannot be anonymous and they should be subject to the libel laws if they are not legitimate.

This weapon will be used to blackmail business owners into supporting Leftist people and policies. It makes the threat of "canceling" a business very real, so cautious business owners will knuckle under to the Fascist Blackshirts currently rampaging on our streets.

Ticked off at a business? Your ex-wife works there? Prices too high? An employee didn’t treat you just right? Too long a wait for service? Then write Yelp and label them raaaacccissts. Oh, and get all your friends and homies to do the same. Run them out of business. Better yet, destroy businesses owned by white people just because you can. Go on Facebook, give the business’ name. If your lucky, the protestors won’t burn your business to the ground with you and your employees inside. Smart move...remove your business from Yelp.

Racism? Here's another example of liberal racism. The far-left editor of the Akron Beacon Journal recently announced that white applicants will be overlooked until 26% of the company's employees are black. This is blatant racism.
And isn't Yale being sued by the Justice Department for doing the exact same thing in its admission policies?

This is called defamation. Here it is in our faces screaming at us that there is nothing we can do to stop them. They can’t just be a posting board of comments and reviews. Now they are taking those reviews at face value and acting with tortious interference to malign businesses and cost them money. Please someone sue for the love of god take it all the way to the Supreme Court. The DOJ is not going to do anything about big tech and their atrocious behavior. The courts are all we have left.

When these antifa/blm riots were just getting started, we called a local Mexican diner for a take-out order.
When we got there they tried to add a 30% fee for us being white.
We refused the order and they banned us for life.
If that's not racism, I don't know what is.
And, yes, I reviewed them on Yelp.

Competing business owners can label a rival business as "racist" in order to ruin it. I don't depend on Yelp to determine where I should do business. They either did not look into all the consequences of this plan but probably the most important thing to them is to appear "woke".
We know what happens to companies who become "woke". How long will it take until they walk this back?

Could I report Twitter to YELP? They are showing their anti-LGBT bias by blocking Richard Grinnell's account. (see article recently posted).
Oh yeah, I forgot. This is only something that they're going to use against small, independent businesses that don't have the resources to fight Big Tech.
I've said that one of the few things Orwell got wrong in 1984 was about the Ministry of Truth. It's not some drab, gray downtown bureaucracy. It's actually in pretty pastel colored Silicon Valley corporate campuses.

What a fraud site. I had a bad experience with a big business. You cannot type unless you give a good rating. So I gave them five, typed and changed the stars before completing.

While pretending to fight racism, they're demonizing WHITE people through the Marxist concept of "systemic racism," even though WHITE people are fast approaching minority status in the USA thanks to systemic Marxism. Meanwhile, why not just brand any WHITE-owned business with an icon of a hooded Klansman, since all WHITE people bear the original sin? Might as well tag any Christian-owned businesses with a cross too, as some probably do not celebrate homosexuality or embrace toxic Islam.
