Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) said Wednesday that negotiating with President Donald Trump is difficult, and he likened it to “trying to nail Jello to the wall.” “Four months ago, the House passed a bold substantial relief package, which Majority Leader McConnell never took up seriously in the Senate. We have waited for week after week after weekIn an interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Coons said that Congress has been working for months on a coronavirus relief package to follow up on the CARES Act, “which delivered about $2.3 trillion worth of relief and is what's keeping our economy from collapsing.” (Video)

Chris, you whining toady, you sure must miss the Good Old Days when a Republican President and Congress would "reach out across the aisle and put aside political differences", huh? All that meant was the ERepubs of the past were either spineless cowards (like GWB) or RINOs (like McCain) and just happily sign any legislation that you would put before them, flushing away countless American jobs and industry overseas at the behest of your Chinese masters. Never again Chris. Your day is done, MF.

President Trump wrote the book “The Art of the Deal”. Of course he is a tough negotiator, especially when dealing with people who are attempting to damage the country he has taken an oath to protect.

Trying to have a rational discussion with Senator Coons is like trying to teach a pig to sing.
Coons should realize that it is not only the dollar amount of a bill that is important, it is also the content. Trump refuses to include federal subsidies for states who cannot manage their own finances. Taxpayers in fiscally responsible states should not subsidize the high state and local taxes of financially irresponsible states.
Coons is a moron.

Perhaps the democrats should bring something of substance to the debate--not jello.
Trying to throw in bail out money for fiscally mismanaged democrat states into the C-19 aid package sure is jello.

The 'house-passed" bill about which the man talked is full of extra expenses that the President does not want.
Just today the President offered to sign a bill for stimulus checks just as long as it was a single-item bill.

Another freakin communist zombie. Trump wants the money to go to there workers and small businesses of our country while Pelosi wants to waste away our taxpayer money on $1200 dollar checks to illegals and to bail out democratic run states that owe millions of dollars because of their socialistic policies. And this moron goes on the right show to complain about Trump, the communist network of MSNBC and that scum bag morning Joe.

Chris. Cokns used to be a Biden aide, so at this moment he should not be given much credibility when he attacks President Trump.

that's right, chris and the reason is: President Donald J. Trump doesn't lie or fabricate information, he tells the truth which eliminates him from being called a "politician". the big man is 1.) a man, first and 2.) a responsible human being who has given up a life most of us only dream about, to be castigated by morons like you and the rest of the democrats and some republicans. the big man is more caring than any of you people in Washington or the state capitals and has the greatest amount of empathy for the American citizen, which makes him, literally, a man above men. as soon as you people accept that this man is the greatest President in our modern age, the better you'll be able to sleep at night.

Bet you're mostly negotiating with Mnuchin though, but he's no push-over either.

The Pubbies and President Trump offered Nancy a $1.6 TRILLION package. She spit on the offer. President Trump has a standing offer to sign a bill giving Americans $1,200 in COVID relief and a bill to fund the Paycheck Protection Act. Nancy won't accept either one of the bills. Nancy and Grandpa Badfinger say President Trump doesn't care about the American people.

Come up with a clean bill. No trying to give illegals taxpayer money. Don’t put anything in the bill that changes the id laws for voting. Coon and the rest of the Dems didn’t get away with scamming the citizens. PRESIDENT Trump sees right thru you Dems.

Why Coons? Because he won't cave to all your ridiculous demands? A president who has a clue when it comes to spending money, and getting value for that money, is a rare bird in DC.

Wait till Coons finds out the President has ordered a full audit of congress members taxes. You know, to be fair.
