Sen. Kamala Harris (D.-Calif.) published a commentary on Medium.com on Jan. 30, 2018 explaining why she opposed a bill that would ban abortion after the 20th week of pregnancy. In her commentary, she revealed that her grandmother used to drive through villages in India using a bullhorn to promote birth control.“I grew up hearing stories about my grandmother—my mother’s mother—who used to go to villages in India in her little VW bug,” wrote Harris.“My grandmother would take a bullhorn and make sure women in these villages knew how to access birth control,” Harris said.“And today, all of us must also raise our voices on behalf of women’s health and reproductive justice,”

Apparently, the grandmother failed to use the bullhorn to advise Kamala's mother. In the meantime, Willie Brown sends his regards. Compliments Kamala on being a superspreader.

Yet again, the Left defends infanticide. Abortion is an invasive procedure that also poses risks for the mother/female. Hey Kamala, you want to really advocate for women's health? Then urge women to use birth control and NOT GET PREGNANT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Aborting a fetus should be a last resort, like if the pregnancy is in the fallopian tubes and thus poses a danger to the mother, or a rape/incest victim. But aborting a human life just because its existence is an inconvenience is the very definition of evil, as Ben Shapiro once said.

Your grandmother, at the time, would have ended up in a mental institution.

As I understand it, Kamala’s mother is Brahman Tamil. I have no doubt that this story is a lie.

Lol, the only difference between Kamala Harris and her grandmother is that she doesn't need a bull horn because she already has a mouth the size of one.

Doubtful this is true, but notice it's "stories I've heard", which is similar to Elizabeth Warren hearing stories that weren't true, huh?
Also, she needs to be reminded tonight that abortion will still be legal in California even if Roe is somehow overturned. None of her constituents will inconvenienced.
I think this is important as there are likely hundreds of thousands of people who have had it insinuated (lied to) that abortion will be illegal if Roe is overturned. Yet, in much of the larger states it will remain legal. Was, and is, always legal in New York, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska, prior to the 1973 Roe decision.
How many are voting on that one single issue, when they might be educated it isn't a factor in their state.

Here we go again. Confusing "birth control" with "abortion."
A 50+ year old woman should know the difference.

I'm sure women in India know how to access birth control. They just don't have the freedom to do so. They are ruled by their husband and in laws.

i took one course in Cultural Anthropology as an undergraduate. The professor's specialty was India.
He talked at length about the caste system in India, and one point I remember was that Brahmins, at the top of the system, stayed separate
from lower castes as much as possible.
this Kamala sutra story sounds like manufactured B.S.

What a LIAR!! VW bugs never existed in India during her grandmother’s time. Birth control in India was sponsored by the Indian Government in 1965 and did not pick up steam until tge 1970s (Indira Gandhi’s time). Her grandmother would have been in 60s or older by then. The
