Gov. Tony Evers took action Tuesday to limit indoor gatherings including in bars and restaurants as coronavirus cases surge in the state and despite repeated legal challenges from Republicans to such measures.
The move by his administration to cap businesses at 25% of capacity starting Thursday comes as Wisconsin suffers from some of the worst COVID-19 outbreaks in the country (Snip) The new restrictions come after the coronavirus pandemic has already clobbered the service industry after Evers barred indoor dining for two months earlier this year and as health risks keep customers away.
"This could be the final dagger for the restaurant industry," said Bobby Wiltgen, who operates three

"Cases"....but not actual, legitimate deaths, right?
Bogus. More and more bogus. Continuously moving the goal posts.

All governor's emergency powers should be declared unconstitutional by their state supreme courts. This nonsense is way past their expiration dates.

That Governor must be intent on bankrupting those bars, restaurants, and stores by limiting them to about 25% of their customary income. Only Democrat politicians would think of doing that.

Keep it up. New Orleans is officially broke and furloughing workers, early retirement and 4 day a week pay. Includes Police and firefighters. Coming to Democrat run cities around the country soon. Shutting down the economy to hurt Trump has unintended consequences.

I thought their Supreme Court stopped this nonsense way back early.

The various state legislatures enacted most of the statutes that empower their Governor to issue emergency health regulations many years ago, expecting their Governor will act rationally. However, many Democrat Governors are acting like tyrants, and far too few courts are bringing these Democrat Governors to heal. These court cases take months before there's a final decision, and in the meantime to Governor's draconian regulations abuse their state's population.

Well, there goes the endorsement of the Tavern League of Wisconsin. (If you've never lived in Wis., the TL is a pretty strong lobby group of the many bar owners in the state). Sounds like the Packers wont have fa

Have fans at any games this year, which should deliver a big advantage to Republicans.

The republican legislature can't seem to muster a simple majority to override Tony's edicts. Why bother voting for them?

Cases? You mean hospitalizations? No. You mean positive tests on individuals who are asymptomatic. No one is fooled.

These idiots refuse to learn the lesson that is sitting right in front of their face. Every time you lock down, you will be right back where you are now, when you open back up. Lockdowns and masks WILL NOT STOP THE VIRUS. This is the very definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. Folks, this is not the government, so much as the medical community and health departments who are drunk on their newfound power. We either fight back or submit into infinity. This will not stop unless we MAKE it stop.

The key to this is story is that the Dem Gov's new order is in effect from Oct. 8th thru Nov. 6, three days after the election.

I'm sure that Evers is doing exactly what our beloathed governor Whitmer does. Democrats need the inner city and college town votes which is where nearly all of the Covid related rules are disregarded. Rather than crack down on their voting base, they cover their election /power based motives by punishing the right-wing American patriots in the tax-paying, hardworking areas of their states.
