Longtime Republican pollster Frank Luntz told CNBC on Wednesday that participants in his focus group were let down by the first debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
"I have never had a session blow up where the participants were disappointed on both sides, where everyone was embarrassed and everyone was upset about what had happened," Luntz said on "Squawk Box," while agreeing with the participants' assessment.

If the "independent" focus group wanted more economic information, I guess they weren't listening. Trump said he wanted to open up the economy and Biden wants to shut it down even more. That is all you need to know about who has the better plan for the economy.

I’m not one of these wishy-washy types that decides who gets my vote based on a meaningless debate. I’m voting Trump because (1) I’ll never vote left and (2) no way I’ll never vote left!

I had to leave the debate after about 45 minutes. Switched to an Amazon prime movie. Kris Wallass was up to his reputation as being hostile towards Trump and Biden was rude by walking on Trump when he was supposed to keep his mouth shut. Trump got mad and said it looks like he is debating Kris instead of Ole Joe. Wallass lost control, Biden was rude but Trump still kicked both of their asses.

What a nonsense opinion! On TV during the first hour of his 2016 election night commentary Luntz predicted, in no uncertain terms, that Clinton would be elected. During last night's debate both debaters encouraged people to vote. It's been reported that in Florida that the number of registered republican voters has massively increased. It's more probable that the debate will result in more votes being cast. I've watched all of the Presidential debates since 1960. Some were boring snoozers. Last evening's debate - by a long shop - cannot be described as a snoozer. I really enjoyed President Trump's humorous retorts.

That may have been the strategy all along. Make Bite Me appear as a mentally infirm jerk, which he is, thus disgust the dim mail in voters to not vote.

This “pollster” is a clown! Always has been, always will be! I would venture a guess that he has never swung a hammer, a saw, a sledge, a jack hammer, or even a fly shatter! He’s never thrown or caught a ball in any configuration! He sat at mommies feet and ate Soy products! I’m pretty sure he’s paid by the DNC to fake being a Republican! He is FAKE news who wouldn’t know a real poll if it bit him in his ample buttocks!

Trump fought back, from what I read. Most of us find that to be a a GOOD thing.
And apparently Wallace went all in to help Joe and harm Trump. Two against one....typical leftist show.

Luntz claims to be a Republican, just like Romney claims to be.
And, like Romney, Luntz has a history of being a NeverTrumper.
I don't think Luntz ever forgave Trump for making his polling and prediction for Hillary in the 2016 election look stupid.

I saw the headline and had to click to see what “GOP Ppllster” would make such a ridiculous statement iabout the most historically important GOP vote imaginable. Frank Luntz. Just had to roll my eyes. I had forgotten about him.
This appears to be more of an attempt to dampen enthusiasm and encourage Republican voters not to vote.
Now, as ever, I simply cannot imagine there is one voter out there who thinks, “I must have the opinion of Frank Luntz before deciding how, or if, I must vote.”
I don’t need a pollster, focus group, or debate to help decide my vote. I’ve seen quite enough with my own eyes which convinces me that PDJT deserves four more years, and America, and the world, needs it.

To understand what happened last night you have separate the signal from the noise. First, I didn't watch the debate in real time because I know from experience that the format leads to style over substance food fights that appeal to low information voters. The key is to watch the debate with one finger on the mute button. Only unmute when the President or Biden is speaking alone on camera and mute out Wallace and any two shots where there is cross talk.
What you discover is that the President was completely right about everything he said and Biden was equally either wrong or using speculative "Monday-morning-quarterback" talking points with no real substance to back up anything he said. By any objective measure of signal information over noise Trump won on facts and substance and it wasn't even a close contest. Watching a truly great disruptor like Trump run his shock and awe style over Sleepy Joe and Clueless Chris was like watching Mike Tyson sparring with Woody Allen.
The reason the rest of the crowd has hissy fits over Trump is that this is exactly what a disruptor looks like. He is not there to let them control him with their "congenial Senate decorum" BS. He is the anti-decorum truth to power non-politician that has changed politics in this country forever. If you want a Well Ordered Gentlemen vote for Biden and you'll get the same fake pabulum politics that has gutted the economy of this country for 47 years.

If anyone ever complains about things in this country, my first question will be to ask if they voted.
If they say no, I don't care to listen to any complaint they have.

#10, thank you! Luntz always distracts me by wearing those fake dry-looking synthetic toupees made for 50+ year-old men who want to look like they’re still in middle school. Amish schoolboys have better looking hair. How do I know they’re toupees? His head is full of longish dull hair which is always exactly the same length and style. I come from a family of men who had full heads of hair into their ‘90’s and I married a guy with hair exactly like Mr. Clean. Our son is bald, too. And they wear it well. To any bald men out there: bald is beautiful. Toupees are not a good look and to my mind, make the wearer seem frivolous, insecure and kind of silly. And remember this: women always know.

I don't think Luntz calls himself a republican. I think he pretends to be neutral. He certainly has become less neutral over the years. He went through a phase of kind of gross fatness and grew a most uncomely beard, with an attitude to go with it.
To people who have little hissy-fits and tell pollsters that they are the pinnacles of self-righteous pompous humble superiority and we should all care because now they are going to stay home put on their hairshirts and not vote: Grow up! Get informed, put aside your knee-jerk emotional responses, think --for a change-- THINK.
