During the first presidential debate Joe Biden denied President Trump’s charge that his son, Hunter Biden, was dishonorably discharged from the military for drug use. It is unknown what kind of discharge it was, as it is only listed as “administrative discharge” which can also include dishonorable discharge. But whether the actual dismissal was listed as honorable or not, what Hunter Biden did in the military is not what anyone would categorize as exemplary service. [Video] USA Today reported in 2014 on the Biden boy’s embarrassing dismissal from a very sought-after Navy Reserve commission that only six other Americans received.

Hunter Biden's 2nd fitness report came after the Navy told him he tested positive for cocaine! After nine months in the Navy his Feb. 19, 2014 separation order included "You have been discharged from the U.S. Navy Reserve."

Not only that, but his direct commission was sketchy:
"So, what were Hunter Biden’s connections to get a commission?”
Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, resigned his direct commission as an ensign in the U.S. Naval Reserve, it was reported recently. Although he was 43 years old at the time of his commissioning, three years over age, he sought an age waiver and got it.
Biden was serving as a public affairs officer; mostly, he went to Norfolk, Va., once a month and did a weekend of service. The twist here is that Biden was forced to resign because he had tested positive for cocaine in June 2013.
A direct commission is a little-known entry point to get into the military. It’s a way for experienced professionals to serve; it’s mostly done for doctors, nurses and dentists. But age 40 is pretty much the brick wall for those outside of those disciplines.

The dirtiest low down trick that Sleepy Uncle Joe Biden pulled last night was the sleight of hand when he invoked his deceased decorated military son, Beau, to fill in for his crooked bag-man son, Hunter.
By the way, where was Hunter last night? You'd think his daddy would have liked him to be there for the debate. Or was it half-price drink night at the strip club?

Years ago, with a couple of engineering degrees under my belt, I dropped into a USN recruiting office to see if I could join and become a naval flight officer (back seater in fighters). It turns out that I was six months over the max age of 26 years and the recruiter was very unhappy (me too) that I couldn't enter.
Age limits are real for folks who don't have a political connection.
Oh, yes, a relative was an active duty Admiral at the time and I did not ask for special dispensation, although I did mention my disappointment at the age limit. Six years later, I heard that the USN had raised the age limit to 31......and I was 32. Some things aren't meant to be, it appears. Well, unless you are a spoiled brat doper son of a Senator.

The article is incorrect. A Dishonorable Discharge (DD) is not an Administrative Discharge. It is a punitive discharge that can only be awarded by a General Court Martial - they are not rare but issued only for the most severe offenses. Ensign Biden received an Administrative Discharges- A General Discharge under Other Than Honorable Conditions . He got off light . Officers who are found to have used hard drugs are normally referred for a Special Court Martial who normally imposes a Bad Conduct Discharge (BCD) . Why he was not should be investigated.

Has he had to have nasal implants due to the rot from his cocaine addiction?
This boy has probably spent a small fortune on drugs alone, forget the hookers.

Washington Post fact checker will deny but this is absolutely true. Let's call Hertz rent a car on the crack pipe Hunter left in his rental car. Biden is a corrupt, evil, liar.

Thanks, #5. Saved me the time. I, too believe “Hunter “ should have been given a BCD.

From another report on Hunter. He was busted for drugs very soon after he was commissioned in the Naval Reserve. He showed up for duty once a month. Testing would have occurred then.
Biden, who had no prior military experience, was selected for commission as a reserve officer through the Direct Commission Officer program in 2012, according to the Navy. He was commissioned as an ensign in early May 2013 – one of six officers commissioned nationally into the public affairs division of the Navy Reserve.
In June 2013, Biden, then 43, was given a drug test that tested positive for cocaine, according to The Wall Street Journal, which broke the story late Thursday night. The paper cited "people familiar with the matter." The Navy would not comment, citing the Privacy Act.
He wasn't discharged until February. "Until an issue like that is adjudicated, the member continues to serve," Hanzlik said.

Commissioned in May 2013, tested in June 2013 and was positive for cocaine.
