I got so frustrated that I turned it off! The constant interrupting kept me from hearing Biden's potential lies and gaffes. We might as well cancel future debates, and just listen to the person we plan to vote for, and assess what their position is on issues. If Trump says he will do something, he will. If Biden says something you like, it is just election tripe.
I doubt if anyone changed their mind last night, because everyone is so set on these two very opposite choices. If you hate Trump because he is rude, you got what you wanted. If you love Trump because he is a fighter, you got what you wanted.

This was painful to watch. Trump won by truth-telling and calling Biden out on all of his failures and lies but he could not stop interrupting and repeating. The debate would have been better if he had let Biden simply hang himself instead of jumping on his every word outside of his allocated two minutes.

I find it hard to really declare anyone a winner of this mess. Listening to the clips this morning, obviously Trump won on substance, but he was overly aggressive and with his non-stop jabbing he missed a few opportunities to deliver a knock out blow. Dementia Joe was his usual rude, mean, nasty self, and was overly vague and evasive.on most issues, merely attacking Trump instead of specifying out what he would do. And Wallace embarrassed himself, losing control of the situation early on and then effectively becoming a third debater. Truth be told, I bailed out about halfway through, switching over to the much more entertaining Chopped.

Big disappointment all around last night. The President should have just gone out there and spoken to the American people and left Biden to talk himself into trouble. A couple of times I thought Biden was not going to be able to reel himself in, but he managed to just in the nick of time. The medicinal cocktail worked pretty well for him. The animosity between the participants was evident. They cannot stand each other and it showed. Biden was name calling and Trump was interrupting when he should have just let Joe hang himself with his ramblings. Trump was in the catbird seat but he let a lot of opportunities get away. Hammering Hunter Biden was a mistake. One quick jab and let it go, but don’t keep grinding on it. The blame for much of the disaster lies at the feet of Chris Wallace. He asked bad questions. Was clearly biased and lost control of the debate. Two improvements would be to turn of the mic after the candidate stops speaking and bring back the buzzer. One more, never allow Chris Wallace to moderate a debate again. You want a real debate? Let Tucker Carlson moderate.

The rules and structure were unbalanced and therefore unfair. Enough time for Biden to get in his lies but not enough for PDT to debunk him. Joe said human activity was responsible for increase in hurricanes, floods and fires. This false and highly irresponsible. But not enough time left for Trump. Four major areas - economy, COVID, law & order, Climate and energy. Same story. Next debate Trump should use his allotted introduction and lay out these lies. Warning the audience he is going to do it again. All in all very frustrating

The debate was a complete mess. I think Trump would have been better served by speaking more directly to the American people, reviewing his administrations accomplishments and plans. He could have put Wallace and Biden in their places with the serious Presidential bearing he is capable of rather than resort to repeated sniping and interruptions. This was expected to be the most watched political broadcast in history and I believe it was a lost opportunity. I won't watch another.
I expected to be slammed for this opinion and was impressed to find others saying Trump missed the boat on this one.

Yes, #2, I think this first paragraph is backwards. The entire format did not allow for civility. Wallace should have modified it when it was going off the rails. Allow both to speak uninterrupted and then rebuttal after someone wanted to comment on anything the opponent said that was not true or needed clarification. Pushing forward to cover all of the topics made no sense. When Biden refused to answer packing the court and ending the filibuster, Wallace didn't even push him to answer or question Biden's response to just vote for him and then you will see.

Watched the whole thing. Biden AND Wallace started the interruption game against Trump and the president just did what he always does and fought back and interrupted Biden. Then it was a non-stop interruption-fest against Trump and Wallace-Biden. Wallace NEVER allowed Trump to make his points and tried to stop him every single time. Trump had to overcome the false premise on EVERY issue all night. So many missed opportunities and there were five distinct opportunities Trump missed to let Joe go full frontal dementia but Trump interrupted and wouldn't allow Biden go into orbit over Ganymede. It turned into a food fight. I went into blood shooting out of my eyes anger when Wallace asked about the illegal gotten tax information yet asked nothing from Biden about his son's well documented Russia, Ukraine, China corruption nor the released yesterday evidence proving Hillary, Obama and Biden initiated the Trump-Russia hoax. The next two debates moderated by full dedicated Marxists is just going to be worse.
But, on the positive side, the Marxists can write in Chris Wallace to be their next president since the real debate on every issue was against Trump and Wallace.
Also, I did appreciate that PDT was NOT going to put up with nor give one inch to ANY Marxist horse crap, and he certainly did not from either Wallace nor Biden.

What a tragedy to have to say that high school debates put last night's spectacle to shame. Wallace put his thumb on the scale for Biden, but couldn't control the situation from the get go. How about this: each side gets set time to answer the question, no interruptions. Then rebuttal. If one side interrupts, the "debate" stops for 5 minutes. If an interruption occurs again, that side loses 2 minutes of their time on the next question. The real loser from this show last nite: the American people.

I agree that PDJT took the bait too many times when standing back and letting Joe ramble on would have been more effective, but I think Joe's outright disrespect to the President really got under the President's skin.

Biden never explained any of his policies, just that they were gonna perform magic. He never endorsed law and order which was brilliant by Trump to push him for an endorsement. Trump didn't let Biden off on questions of Hunter's corruption like the Kneepads do. Biden told Trump to shut more than once which is not only rude but a command and power play of a bully. Wallace at least once interrupted Trump during his two minutes 'uninterrupted' to initiate a debate between Trump and himself. It was s stunning display of bias and I truly wonder if Wallace is on Biden's campaign payroll. Wallace asked Trump the typical 'gotcha' questions while severing up fat pitches to Biden. I agree it was a mess but clearly the deck was stacked against Trump and unlike McLame and Romney, Trump didn't roll over and wet himself. He fought back.

The second sentence of O'Neil's piece doesn't make any sense. What I saw was just the opposite. Wallace picked questions to damage Trump and Wallace would help lead Bite Me into his answers to the questions.
A terrible night all around. Trump knew that Bite Me was high on a cocktail of meds and tried to break him in half. Bite Me's eyes looked frankly pretty weird and evil. He looked awful as a sundowner would at that hour of the way. The dilated and watery pupils said it all about his medical condition. What did Bite Me have under his right lapel that he fiddled with? Something to release doses of meds?
While Trump got in some solid and passionate rebuttals, being in attack mode for 90 minutes thanks to Wallace's idiotic questions had limited Trump's ability to deliver knockout blows based questions of substance. Wallace spending 15 minutes on tax return gotcha questions, another 15 or 20 minutes on this fake racism/equality meme, and blowing another 20 minutes on useless questions related to the covid pandemic ruined the entire affair. But, Trump rightly called out Bite Me and the dim party for allowing the cities to burn from the rioting and the urban decay that the dims have wrought on America. Trump could have put down the knives long enough to better describe the evil blm/antifa attacks at the hands of the dim party, its donors, and the globalists.
While the debate was chaotic to be sure, Bite Me lost his chance with his lefty bully tactics. Wallace lost control early and should apologize to the public for a very shoddy performance. And shame on him for only scolding Trump a number of times to not interrupt while not saying a peep to Bite Me.
Possible to improve the debate format? #10 comments that after each of them finishes speaking, his mic should be turned off while the other speaks. I would add that having the split screen of one guy sneering and snorting at the other guy while the first guy is speaking should stop. As I said yesterday, there are much better moderators out there who can ask questions that allows the candidates to express their visions rather than being in damage control that only benefits msm ratings. Next time try Mark Levin, Dennis Prager, El Rushbo, or Tucker Carlson.

Fox is now completely in the tank. Watching Wallace is tantamount to torture. And it's getting worse. Starting with Martha and her awful nails on the blackboard voice, her stupidity, her lack of any interest whatsoever in anything that does't include her is almost as bad as Ainsley on Fox and Friends with her perfected show 'em you really are as dumb as a rock routine. We're done watching Fox for the most part and all the time when the list of "experts' are on their tainted panels-- all the guests gathered for the debate last night were in full agreement. NO ONE can stand teeny weenie Wallace trying to be daddy and last night was a low even for him. Somewhere the butch haircut babe got in her vitriol. Enough. Perfect example of that crude expression, "a s*** show." Almost right out of the gate, Wallace's bias was clear and Trump had to say, "I guess I'm debating you, not him." Unfortunately, Trump let it get under his skin that he was facing two opponents, and he lost his composure. Biden was sputtering, stammering, straining, and Wallace carried him along like a wounded comrade.
It was not a debate. It was more like a wrestling tag team against Trump. He had to fight Wallace, he had to fight Biden, and often he had to fight both Wallace and Biden at the same time.
I wonder if Wallace's voice bothered Trump? That might explain why he often lost his cool. I think that whiney, sissy voice might have made Trump want to walk over and smack him upside the head, so he constantly had to resist the urge.
It was an all around national embarrassment, and I will be happy if there are no more repeats. Our beleaguered nation has enough to deal with-- our cities are burning, our economy has been almost destroyed by a needless lockdown in a "pandemic" that is 90% fraud, the traitors who tried to pull off a coup against a duly elected president are skating free, raking in money from books and speeches while the AG sits around with his thumbs ... uh... I'll leave it there. We need no more spectacles on the world stage like last night's.
I probably should have gone with my original idea for a post on the debate:
Uncle Sam wept.

Yeah, well #15, you are right about being slammed and those are your words not mine. I did not watch the debate for two reasons. Joe Biden and Chris Wallace. I didn't think President Trump would get a fair chance at all and it sounds like my reasoning was accurate for not watching.
President Trump has been microscopically picked apart since he took office and it is my firm belief that releasing his tax returns didn't put him in a very good mood. So all of you who are negatively commenting about Donald Trump, could you do better?
If in 2012, Mitt Romney had told Barack Obama (as President of the USA) to shut up, he would have been castigated. It seems that anything goes with the Democrats and liberals. They can dish out whatever they want and the goal post keeps getting moved to accommodate their despicable behavior. I have had it and the same goes with all of the negative responses here. Donald Trump was spied on before he took office; had a soft coup to remove him from office that continues to this day, and isn’t so soft anymore; was impeached for the crimes the democrats committed; was handed a “pandemic” specifically designed for full opposition political advantage; has been betrayed by people on his own team; and has been lied about, maligned and savaged by all sides, including our own. He has few friends, and even less supporters, save his family and a majority of the American people. Far be it from me to pronounce sentence on him because he wasn’t “dignified and presidential.” Biden and Wallace are lucky the man didn’t come out with a flamethrower and burn them to a cinder. Pathetic. Wallace was, perhaps, the worst monitor ever. The questions were too general; they left no structured vehicle for rebuttal. They encouraged the unwatchable screamfest. It doesn't appear that Wallace prepared at all and he lost control almost immediately. As Dan Bongino pointed out, this debate probably hurt Biden with the leftist base because he was forced to admit that he didn't support the green new deal, medicare for all and some of the other socialist fantasies. When he said that he'd shut down the economy again if the experts told him to I hope the independent voters were listening carefully. Ditto on his refusal to talk about stacking the court and jettisoning the filibuster rule. JB's soppy emotional appeals, replete with bleeding heart boilerplate, were disgusting, an insult to the audience's intelligence. Earth to Joe: that 'it's all about your family' crappola will not move Xi or Putin. The flat-out denials of Hunter's corrupt dealings should have been probed by CW. When Trump pointed out JB's most recent lie about his education at Delaware State, CW should have probed. Biden has lied through his teeth about his education (again and again and again) and when Trump called him on it he just smirked. CW also let that Charlottesville canard glide through without question. Note that Katie Pavelich was so incensed at it that she devoted most of her time slot to deflating it summarily.

It was a hot mess. Terrible moderator Wallace had no trouble disciplining the sitting President of the United States, but tiptoed around and protected the former vice president. His constantly calling him “Vice President” was deliberate. It was a sickening exercise that achieved nothing but a bad photo of PDJT which is all over the internet, trying to make him look like a wild man, and a lot of clickbait “quotes”… I hope Biden decides he doesn’t want to do this again. It did nothing for the President except show how unfairly he continues to be treated, and that may be something too subtle for the dumb voters (and yes, there are great numbers) to pick up on.

President Trump had an absolute valid reason not to respect both Barack Obama and Joseph Biden, as it is clear now that they attempted to perpetrate an anti-American and unlawful coup against Trump and his Administration. Especially Biden who brought up and suggested investigating and criminally prosecuting General Flynn for violating the Logan Act, an ancient law for which no American in the history of the USA has ever been successfully prosecuted. When Trump interrupted or talked he addressed issues of national interest that his administration was involved in for the last 47 months. Biden's ad hominem attacks on Trump calling the President of the USA a clown, a fool, a lyer, and someone who did not know what he is talking about or doing were really gutter class comments and gave off really bad vibes to the world. While Trump interrupted, he did not make and ad hominem attacks on Biden.
When Trump brought up obvious Biden family corruption involving Biden's son Hunter and Biden's two brothers, Biden tried to scramble the matter by bringing up his other son, Beau, as he always does to gain sympathy, who spent time in the Delaware National Guard in Iraq, years before he died of cancer. When you look at that history, it really is not about Hunter, but is all about Joseph Biden and the way he operated as Vice-President to be a corrupt financial "Rainmaker" involving foreign entities and individuals for members of the Biden family.
Bottom line, when Trump says that he is going to do something related to his Presidential duties it is a sure thing that he will do it, that is if in DC it is politically possible, and nobody can say that Trump has not been the most transparent President of the modern era as he answers all questions made to him almost everyday. In Biden's case his refusal to answer important questions about him packing the Supreme Court, or who he would nominate to Supreme Court seats show that Biden intends to support really left wing Democrat policies and programs that are not popular with the segments of the US population that really make the country go. Biden's non-answers are reminiscent of when the Democrats were asked about Obamacare before it was passed when they said you have to vote for the Obamacare bill to see what's in it. Biden also showed his true colors when he refused to deny his support for the Antifa and the violent aspects of the Black Lives Matter movements who have been rioting, burning, and looting in the big Democrat cities, in that respect Biden would not even admit that Antifa as a violent domestic terrorist organization exists and tried to case false blame for all that destruction on some "White Supremacist" group. Biden also brought up the old Democrat canard that Trump supported "White Supremacists" in Charlottesville, VA, three years ago, which is a lie, as when Trump made his comment about what was going on in Charlottesburg he was talking about people on both sides of the issue or removing Confederate statues and not violent activity or who was right or wrong.
Biden and his leftist operatives and running a very dishonest campaign and Trump was right to call Biden out on that.

Why was Biden not making the doddering gaffes he usually does? Either it has been an act in case he gets prosecuted or he needs to be on the drugs he was on last night. I think it has been an act for months and probably the only reason he has run in the campaign was to avoid investigation and prosecution.

Do I believe Tyler O’Neil or my own lying ears?Trump’s performance was a disaster. He interrupted Biden obnoxiously without ever landing a punch. For reasons I’ll never comprehend he didn’t calmly lay out for the American public his stupendous accomplishments on the economy and how Biden and his party would destroy the recovery. Same goes for Trump’s response to the Chinese Flu.
There were several times Old Joe was on the verge of wandering into incoherence but was silenced by Trump interrupting him. Trump made a horrible mistake going after Hunter Biden without saying coherently why the public should care. What uniformed viewers heard was an attack on his opponent’s son. I’m sure the educated suburban women loved it.
I was so upset by this fiasco I couldn’t sleep. I hope there are two more debates and that Trump reverts back to the charming combatant he was last time around. Next time don’t listen to the Sean Hannity types who want a wrestling match where their old scores are settled at the expense of educating Americans why Trump must win in November.

Did they put a lid on plugs early today? The last month of a campaign is a non stop fever pitch of work- and Biden won’t emerge from his basement..
Are excited Democrat’s eager to vote for Biden? Will they rush to vote? Or are they ‘counting’ on ballot harvesting to win the day?
So many ways to steal an election..

Biden will join Paris Climate Agreement, weatherize 4 million buildings, stop coal plants, and call it a new economy. Called our great president a clown. The vote by mail scam will continue and Marxists will steal the election for the Deep State.

#11, Biden was also wired. He was listening to a voice from offstage. At one point he nodded his agreement.

I caught a snippet on the radio this morning. I swear I thought that Biden said that the Obama Administration moved jobs to China so the USA could important the product they made there. I may have been hallucinating. That would be like dropping an iron on your bare foot so you could listen to the ambulance whistle .

When it comes to Trump I'll restate the words of Lincoln regarding Grant.
"I can not spare that man. He fights!"

Guess I am going to have to wait until Election Day for President Trump to deliver the knockout blow to Biden.
The so-called debate last night was a disappointment----I thought it was like listening to the sound of spinning wheels stuck in a ditch in the middle of nowhere.

Some people have labeled Chris Wallace as a "trusted journalist". After his failed attempt last night at moderating the Presidential debate his title should now be "dishonest Democrat hack." Wallace would be better off working for CNN or MSNBC rather than attempting to portray himself as an honest journalist on what used to be a reputable news channel like FOX. Time to tune out FOX!
