The 15-day lockdown that Americans agreed to in March to prepare hospitals for a possible influx of Wuhan virus patients has lasted for over half a year in some places. (snip) On Monday, though, a game-changer hit the scene when President Trump announced an affordable rapid test for the Wuhan virus. The new test can be self-administered and will produce a result in around 15 minutes. (snip) workplaces can open again. So can restaurants, which have been devastated by the lockdowns. With a 15 minute test, both employees and customers can quickly have their health status determined.

Is Andrea naive enough to believe that a new test can end a scamdemic?

The Enemy of the People Media will find a way to ignore or downplay this.
Biden put all his eggs in the virus basket, and now he has no issue to fit his no brain.

Now that the Democrats have proven out the theory that they can use guilt and fear to corral the sheeple and convince them to happily sacrifice their civil liberties and constitutional rights this will never end unless they are voted out.

Nationwide school vouchers to be used as parents see fit would end the school shutdown within days. The fundamental problem is the government schools paid for by taxpayers, controlled and run by dictators, and employing leftist teachers.

The Dems will now say this new test is another Trump trick, that the results cannot be trusted, and the shutdowns must continue until there is a vaccine, which will also be a Trump trick, etc., etc., etc.....

The pandemic is being used by people for an excuse to stay home. No need to get dressed, shave, put on makeup, go out in inclement weather, account for your time. Scamdemic sums it up nicely.

More money in the pockets of the hoaxsters. I'm not wearing a mask unless it is necessary, and I sure won't submit to a health test to eat out. They can jam those swabs up theirs.

its not going away folks.
The same mentality that brought us Climate Change brought us the scamdemic. People that bought into Climate Change have also jumped on board the scamdemic train.
Too many lemmings. Too many lazy or untrusting people. Too many people that just love to control others. Florida lifted all restrictions. Why are people still wearing masks?
Two groups of people are going to have major problems with this test. Those that want the test for free, and those that are incapable of following instructions. The manufacturer will roll this out to over 300 million people? What could possibly go wrong.
The rest of the world is moving on, but the US is not because we have made it political. 60 million had to file for unemployment, and thousands of businesses have closed for good. Heaven forbid we have a strong economy. Heaven forbid if people didn't have to rely on the government. Can't have that!

Our Pubbie FL governor opened restaurants last weekend, but not many of them got the word. As of Sunday some places were still limiting seating and had long lines waiting.
As long as people believe that their lives are at stake if the live like they did before March, there will be Karens who won't wake up. I fear it's permanent.

For people under 60 the death rate seems to be about like normal flu. This has been pretty clear from our county data for many months.
Leave the under 60 people alone. Let older than 60 people decide what they want to do about it. If you have pre-existing health problems or are over 80, this is a very dangerous virus. If you are from 60-80, it is worse than a standard flu, but if you are healthy (and fewer are at those ages, unfortunately), maybe more care and isolation is called for until there is a vaccine.
In a county of over 600,000 people here in eastern KS, here is what we have:
ages percent of deaths
80 and older 70%
70 and older 88%
60 and older 95%
Zero deaths under age 20.
5% of all deaths in my county are spread over 20 to 60 age group, relatively evenly, probably based on pre-existing health issues more than just age.
