State asking Boeing what will keep 787

Washington officials are asking the state’s largest manufacturer what it can do to keep the 787 jetliner production line from moving to South Carolina, Gov. Jay Inslee said Thursday. So far, the Boeing Co. hasn’t offered any suggestions, although it has told state officials no decision on such a move has been made, Inslee said during a news conference. The company has said it is looking at the data and will continue to talk. Boeing currently builds its 787 Dreamliner in Everett and Charleston, South Carolina, but Reuters reported earlier this week the company is considering closing the Everett line. Closing that production line in Everett could cost thousands of jobs.

Comments:

When running for president Gov. Jay said Boeing blackmailed him into providing incentives. And he compared it to being mugged. Maybe management remembers!!

Seattle is not a good environment for business, it is just that simple. The Cali crazies have Californicated the state until it is not a place to be doing business. Time to bail out to SC entirely.

Competent political leadership, public safety and a predictable tax structure are impossible dreams for any business in Washington state right now and so it will remain with Democrats in charge. What state leaders really want to know is what perks Boeing would accept that will not interfere with state officials and favored groups feeding at the public trough at the expense of taxpayers and Boeing.

I had the privilege of working at Boeing in Renton and Everett as an outside vendor. My dad worked there in the 60's. I saw a huge company with an impossible number of moving parts. I thoroughly enjoyed every exhausting minute. Great company with great people. If they were to pull out, as one gentleman once said, you'd hear a giant sucking sound leaving a smoking crater where thousands of people once existed.

It's a typical hard left state. They tax and regulate businesses until they have no choice but to move, then whine and cry about what they can do to keep the business there. Too bad OR. You did it to yourselves. SC is the lucky one until those commies start moving there and ruining it.

This week the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle announced its eighth arrest related to events during this summer’s protests against racism and police brutality. Defense attorneys say the Justice Department is going out of its way to try to discredit the protests. But U.S. Attorney Brian Moran said his Seattle office is focused on cases like arson or firearms violations that he says are hurting the protest message. That includes the big protest in Seattle the night of May 30. People took guns out of police vehicles and set the cars on fire, leading to three federal cases so far.

Seattle rioters used a substance suspected to be quick-dry concrete to seal shut the door to the East Precinct, the Seattle Police Department has confirmed. At the same time, the rioter attempted to set fire to the building. Photos reviewed by the Jason Rantz Show show the concrete mix and tools used. Now, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is working with the Seattle Police Department on this investigation. Rioters assaulted Seattle’s East Precinct on Monday night. This marked another night of violent, criminal activism against police officers unconnected to anger over a recent police shooting in Wisconsin.

Thanks to a hostile media and Trump’s aggressive use of social media, America has had plenty of material for judgement.
