Palmetto Cheese, a regional pimento cheese brand based in South Carolina, is getting grilled by shoppers and social media alike after publicly comparing the Black Lives Matter movement to a “terrorist organization.”
Now, Costco is pulling the popular cheese spread from its stores’ shelves, USA Today reports.
Palmetto Cheese founder Brian Henry, who also happens to be mayor of Pawleys Island, spurred outrage last month when he took a controversial stand against BLM.
“I am sickened by the senseless killings in Georgetown,” he wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post on Aug. 25, following the death of Charles Nicholas Wall and Wall’s stepdaughter, Laura Anderson, on Aug. 24.

I agree with OP. I won't patronize a company that caves to threats from un-American organizations when someone speaks the truth about them just to save a few bucks. Costco knows what it can do with my membership card.

There be a whole lot of intimidation goin’ on out dere and, surprise!, Costco‘s headquarters are near Seattle. Can the DOJ investigate why a publicly traded corporation has denied access to a vendor for exercising his First Amendment right to voice an opinion Which also happens to be true? Who is behind Costco’s decision and was fear of attack a factor? Is China and/or Soros or another traitor like him involved?

More effective than a boycott is a buycott. I've been buying Goya products and I (at the time) supported Chick-Fil-A when they were under attack even though it tastes like cardboard to me.
I hope that LDotters who live in the areas where Palmetto Cheese products will make sure to buy their products.

Are their no patriots in corporate America? Paying homage to BLM is disgusting to the vast majority of Americans. BLM knows they are losing support or they would have not cleaned up the wording on their website because people were actually going there to read what they believe. The corporations buying into this movement are insane. BLM backed by Soros and the rest of his comrades who want to destroy this country should never be legitimatized. They are clearly fomenting insurrection all over this country. It is a well funded and well organized group of anarchists fueled by hate, enabled by the media and the democrat party. It is a disgusting display of the most heinous anti-American violence that just keeps growing. It is disturbing because we all just sit back and watch as night after night more cities are exploding with senseless violence. The democrat party has a lot to answer for and its support of this is the most egregious and that is saying a lot considering their penchant for lawlessness.
Don’t these companies know that they are supporting their own demise when they openly take a side in this assault on the country and the very ideas that gave them the opportunity to thrive as businesses. Once you become indebted to the mob, you will never be free to run your business. They will make every decision for you. Only fools would support the philosophy behind BLM. Pledging allegiance to this group may appease them now, but eventually they will come for you and you will do whatever they say because this group not about freedom it is all about the darkest form of tyranny. People will not forgets this. Americans are disgusted by these corporations pandering. They should just shut up and do business. Get politics out of their boardrooms.

So,
Black Lives Matter just proved that they ARE in fact a terrorist organization!
They’ve waged war on small business all over this country. Burning em down. Boycotting and destroying livelihoods

You cannot say all lives matter in America today without the Leftist press and their lackeys jumping on you ferociously with their dominant media power. The Cancel culture movement wishes to kill this nation but it needs to be killed before it metastasizes which is the only way we can truly continue as a decent, freedom loving nation. The fact so far, very early AM on Thursday Sept 24, is that Costco REPORTEDLY is pulling Palmetto, but no statement by Costco has verified this. So it may be premature to castigate Costco as if they have done so. If they verify this action, then they deserve to be treated like just another pandering, progressive virtual signaling organization. Also, note that the CEO of Palmetto is "regretting" saying what he said, calling it an emotional outburst that doesn't reflect his true feelings. In other words, he's trying to save his small company from a disaster in the making by the virtue signalers of America.

I'm just waiting for the anarchist thugs to attack "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas." If they decide to ram around the country killing snow, it could make for a warmer winter and keep them too busy to burn police headquarters and businesses.

Palmetto Pimento Cheese is readily available at supermarkets all over the South and perhaps beyond. It just comes in smaller containers than those at Costco.
I’m going to wait and see what develops before I boycott either Costco or Palmetto. Who knows - it could be that Henry and his family are being threatened with physical harm. And he was right about the shooting and about BLM.

Just wait till the terrorist thugs break into and loot Costco. They vandalized and looted woke Target and woke Starbucks. Costco can't be far behind because solidarity with wokeness does not bring protection.

1st... Palmetto Pimento Cheese is a first class product. We Southerners have a semi religious thing about pimento cheese. This is the good stuff. This is the stuff you bring out when you are making nice sandwiches for company or adding it to a holiday dish. It is genuine, honest to goodness Southern style pimento cheese. My husband, a pimento cheese addict, will buy no other kind.
2nd... Costco can shove it! We haven't had a membership with them for decades because of some of the political and social stands they have made in the past. I have a long memory.

They don’t care that much for BLM, they just don’t want to get their warehouses burned down or looted in the liberal Democrat run cities. They are taking the cowardly way out to terrorism. That’s what domestic terrorism is all about.

I know Sam Walton had ties to the Clintons back in Arkansas when he was alive, but nearly everybody in the state had some sort of connection to that Governor back then. And I know his Walmart carries more goods made in China than in the US. But I have been to the hoity-toity Costco as a guest from coast to coast. Their membership fee is twice what it should be and they are generally overpriced, as well. Just give me Sam's Club instead. There are more of them and my blood isn't blue enuf for Costco.
PS: Like poster above, I am still buying Goya products and I continue to see product sold out/on order at the two chain groceries I frequent. So AMEN to the buycott.

# 18, Sam Walton didn't just have ties to the Clintons. That brilliant and highly experienced businesswoman, Arkansas First Lady Hillary Clinton, sat on the board of Walmart and collected a large fee every time she attended a meeting.

Well this stinks. I quit Sam's Club because of their archaic and discriminatory membership policies (apparently a lot of people quit them, because they closed their store near me); and now Costco is bowing to a terrorist organization and removing a fine product from their shelves. I shop mainly at Aldi now. They have some Goya products but no Palmetto Cheese. Wish I knew of another outlet in Nashville....will be rethinking our Executive Membership at Costco.

Yes, #23, and Wal-Mart pushes anti-Trump books and loves anything Obamas - STILL. Well, its a problem because Palmetto CEO caved too. Here in Texas, our HEB head is a globalist-supporting guy who recently came out supporting mail-in voting for Texas. He has a pattern of donating heavily to whoever is running against the conservative.

"Terrorism" is defined as the use of violence to achieve socio/political aims. Black Lives Matter (nee Black Liberation Movement) is a marxist revolutionary organization that is trying to establish its power by tearing apart the fabric of this country. BLM is a terrorist organization and its members/enablers should be prosecuted for sedition as well as terrorism. 9/11 is survivable. A loss of national will and cohesion, not so much.

Funny ... I don't remember Costco removing and boycotting Ben & Jerry's ice cream when those two morons called Trump a fascist and named a "new" flavor "Pecan Resist".
Typical Big Lib response to a small non-issue. Elevate it to the level of tragedy and exercise moral preening in the process. And, of course, be very selective in your outrage.

Seeing this sort of thing happening all over our country, I can't help but believe that
1) obviously the companies do not want their assets burnt to the ground and
2) they actually believe that by feeding the alligator it will eat them last ( customers can be 're-acquired' later, they think, through massive
advertising 'when things return to normal' !! )
Ronald Reagan said in a speech in 1964, that you can have peace right this moment - all you have to do is surrender !!
This is exactly what companies are doing and are expecting peace to be the result.
I predict that will NOT be the outcome.
Appeasement, and that's what it is, will not work because NO AMOUNT of appeasement is going to satisfy the groups we are dealing with.
They do not want you to 'agree' with them, they want you DESTROYED so that they can start building their utopia as promised by the likes of Soros et al.
This is why I expect far more violent 'protests' possibly leading to a type of civil war to sweep across this country when President Trump wins.
If I'm right and I pray to God that I am wrong, ' you ain't seen nuthin' yet.
Think about it. What do the protesters have to lose. Most have no property to speak of and those that do are SURE that they will be spared the wraith of the protests ( ask the mayor of Seattle how well that works ).
From what I have seen, very few have been incarcerated and most of those that have are soon released ( with the promise they'll return for their hearing - yeah right ! ).
Without SWIFT, severe and unrelenting consequences, this rioting will spread and continue until all we have left is a scorched barren wasteland.
