B&G Foods said Thursday it would drop an image of a black chef from the packaging of its Cream of Wheat cereal mix, the latest company to make changes to branding widely considered as racially insensitive. Companies including Mars and PepsiCo are changing names and branding of some of their products that are rooted in racist imagery amid a wider national debate over racial inequality in the United States. “For years, the image of an African-American chef appeared on our Cream of Wheat packaging. While research indicates the image may be based upon an actual Chicago chef named Frank White, it reminds some consumers
Kudos to Reuters for maintaining the lower-case modifier.
So, I own a diner, advertise for a cook, and a qualified black person applies. I'm obviously a racist for not hiring him, but now I'm a racist even if I do?

Racism finally solved!!! Thanks B&G... Those negroes were gettin' mighty uppity with their faces on packages... that offends us white folks! (OK That's sarcasm)

I hate cream of wheat but would have no interest in a black chef if I loved the stuff.
One of my favorite (made up) sayings: “What if you gave a war and nobody came?”
This statement s a yawner.

Yet another positive black role model destroyed by the SJWs. He wasn't pimping or murdering, so he had to go.

Advertisements have always featured people they thought would help sell their products but now they are removing black faces from favorite items in grocery stores, (-which is actually, 'racism,'), while adding people of color to TV commercials? They sure are sending mixed messages with their political correctness dictates.

These idiots don't know what racism is. So are all black actors/actresses not allowed to be on commercials anymore? Why are these libs cancelling all black trademarks ? Unbelievably stupid.

Exactly OP. Product pictures of apparently happy well adjusted black people must be removed, however, vulgar rappers, BLM punks, and endless awful black oriented sitcoms and commercials are okay.

Good. They are diminishing the presence of blacks in American society. Keep them all hidden in the closet from public view. They need to be OPPRESSED to avoid the police from randomly brutalizing and killing them.

So we've gone from it being racist NOT to have more blacks in mainstream marketing and entertainment, to it being racist to have them. We are now officially permitted to ignore the entire issue, since they have condemned both positions.

This is a democrat's dream. First they got rid of all the Indians in sports teams and advertising, Now they are getting rid of blacks in advertising. Once they get rid of all the blacks on TV and in music, their dream will be realized. Bravo for fooling them for so many years.

Sorry to hear this. Aunt Jemima and The Cream of Wheat Chef and Uncle Ben's Rice are all American icon, and were fictional....Sure glad Betty Crocker was white, same with "Speedy" Alka Seltzer and the Smith Brothers. Our country has crashed.

And with the canceling of the iconic expert black chef, the entire ambience and treat of enjoying a special kind of cereal vanishes.

I always assumed it honored a black cook who was especially talented. Silly me, never thought it was racist.
Think about this. If the face on the box was white, the black grievance morons would be clamoring for a black face to replace it.

Have you all noticed that every TV commercial features a Black person....if the commercial does have a White person in addition to the Blacks in the ad, that White person is super dumb and is straightened out very quickly by the oh so much more featured smart Black's.

Thereby erasing yet another widely recognized, even beloved, black icon from the culture. None of these commercial advertising icons were derogatory in any way. Corporations and sports franchises doing this are not only craven, but they make terrible assumptions about their consumers.

A black chef is offensive, never mind that the company chose him as their brand mascot to indicate the quality of the product they're trying to sell. What a grand time to be alive. How about a bLACK pimp mascot named Kareem A'Weet as a replacement?
