Picture a female jurist who has consistently defied social expectations imposed on women and whose legal thinking is closely bound up with her faith. No, I’m not talking about Amy Coney Barrett, reported to top President Trump’s list of candidates to fill the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat. I’m talking about Ginsburg herself.Ginsburg believed fervently that conventional expectations shouldn’t hinder women as they seek their full, fair share of public life. Nor was she shy about how her Jewish faith shaped her judicial mind. In an essay for the American Jewish Committee published in 1993, she wrote: “

This is one confirmation hearing I am looking forward to simply hear Judge Barrett speak to the raving lunatics on the left who will asking her questions. The fact that she clerked for Justice Scalia is a plus for me. It has been said of her that she is a female version and I certainly hope so. If she is the nominee, it is going to be great hearing her school the democrats. I pray that President Trump chooses the right woman and I trust that he will do so. I do like Judge Barrett but I also like Judge Barbara Lagoa. God bless anyone who has to sit in that chair and listen to the demented dems. We all know what is coming for any woman that is pro-life. It will be a circus, but the nominee knows it and will be prepared for it. I just wonder how low the democrats are prepared to go.

Hmmm... why do I think this means he is picking someone else? Yes, she’d be an excellent choice, but maybe Trump is allowing the speculation to center on her when in fact it’s a distraction from his real choice.

I think Amy was in my elementary school class? She pushed me then punched me on our way to a school assembly? She laughed when I fell down and scraped my knee? Then at lunch time, she stole my cookies that my mom made the night before? She used the n word at me because she thought I was African American but my family is from India? I was so traumatize, I can't remember the name of the school but I'm pretty sure it happened in April? I think Amy is a racist because of what she did to me in elementary school?

She is my pick. Wasn’t it Flake that forced hearings regarding Kavanagh? I’ll never forgive the radical Dems for bearing false witness against that man. Pretty sure a vote can be held without all the pompous windbags bloviating. Do it Pubbies! Imagine the shoe on the other foot?

Unless McConnell agrees to postpone the vote until after the election - THERE WILL BE NO DEBATES. You read it here first!

FTA: 'Yes, Democrats and their media allies will attack and demonize her — viciously.' Yes indeed. Her intellect, judicial bona fides and sterling personal character will count for nothing. The more effective and decent she threatens to be on the SCOTUS, the more desperate the Left will be to torpedo her nomination. E.G. seven children! An irresponible breeder, she threatens the future of planet Earth. Two adopted Haitian children? Cultural Appropriation. tearing helpless children away from their homeland, race and culture! Child with special needs? Obvious Virtue Signalling! A Trump nomination? The very worst sort of human possible!

Judge Barrett carries high stature to judicial. Would be a great selection. Judge Lagoa is right up there, too. Not sure what criteria(s) the President plans to use as the tie-breaker, but, he will likely nominate one of them. Looking forward to the confirmation hearing to witness another dim and msm meltdown while the nominee smiles broadly. Too bad that Kayliegh McEnany doesn't have a judicial background.

I listen to a speech she gave last night. She's quite astute. However, with the atmosphere this vile and angry, I would go with Lagoa. Barrett is only 48 years old. There will be another SC pick for Trump. I heard rumors that Alito and Thomas are thinking about retiring. The most important thing at this time is to reelect him.
Lagoa will give President Trump the boost he needs in Florida and with Hispanics around the country.

Don't be surprised if it is Lagoa. Trump likes to keep the Dems off balance. When Trump is re-elected, there will be more slots to fill on the SC.

Chuckie Cheese says she's way out of the mainstream. Of what? Brooklyn wine/whine bar culture? I think she epitomizes what is best in mainstream culture--faith, family, hard work, achievement. He obviously doesn't care about such things.

The democrats are "desperate"...they will unleash an attack on whoever President Trump nominates...but... this time WE are ready for them...WE know what they did to Justice Kavanaugh... we watched with horror... but this time WE know what they are capable of... I'm sure Feinstein has dug up some high school dude who these women took advantage of...at a sorority party...

Trump likes to push the envelope so it will be Amy ... unless she has voluntarily removed herself ... which I doubt.
She strikes me as a latter day David on a mission from God Himself. Amy can probably hear the Voice telling her ... "Go down by the river and you will find some flat rocks there!"
How amazing if Roe v. Wade finally gets overturned just before it's 50th year!

This process of confirmation, not who is nominated, will re-expose democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee, the msn, and the “peaceful” protesters on the streets, as screaming bat guano crazy hyenas (think AG Barr’s recent treatment by Nadler’s House Judiciary). The unintended consequence of the democrat’s vicious behavior will be its useful contribution to the re-election of Trump and all down ticket conservatives.

I wouldn’t try to guess what Trump is going to do, but I trust him. Amy is an excellent choice. I understand her rate of decisions being overturned is under 1%; outstanding. It may depend if she “clicks” with Trump in a 1-1 meeting. Maybe they have already met, previously. I just feel intuitively Lagoa is number two, and Latinos already LOVE Trump, no political gain there, my opinion. I think it’s Amy. Trump may even name her Chief Justice. That would drive them nuts. But, again, nobody but Trump knows what Trump will do.

Mcconnell said there would only be 3 days of hearings, max. You know the Dems are prepared to attempt destruction of either of the frontrunners. If I was Trump, I'd go off script and nominate someone they weren't expecting so they'd have no time to manufacture dirt. They'd be completely thrown off their game.

No matter who gets the nomination, Mitch should announce that he has the votes and given the way the demonrats treated Kavanaugh, there will be no hearings.
