Louisville police declared a state of emergency Monday in anticipation of an announcement in the Breonna Taylor case (Snip for tweet) Earlier in the day the department canceled all days off with the exception of vacation that had been previously approved. The DA’s office isn’t commenting on what is happening but the belief is that the case is being presented to a grand jury today, meaning a decision on whether to charge officers involved in the shooting could be announced any day now.
In addition to putting the police on alert, federal buildings in the city have been closed for the week.

Here we go again, another martyr Breonna Taylor. The real story is, she was living with a drug lord. Drugs were everywhere in her home. He also had weapons. She knew what she was doing when she allowed her home to be used by her boyfriend thug. I am not a fan of the "no knock" warrant. I hate that law and they really need to do away with it. Unfortunately, she was basically a person caught up in this arrest. By far, she was not innocent.

the sainted Breonna, a medical assistant, had a side hustle of being the banker/bag lady for a drug gang. the gang was responsible for selli9ng fentanyl, heroin, meth, all over the Louisville area.
she supposedly had broken up with her drug dealer boyfriend, but he visited her apartment 44 times in the weeks prior to her death.
And the police had jailhouse tapes, where thge drug gang members talked openly about Breonna and her bag of money, used for posting bail, among other things. (Breonna had just purchased a new Dodge Charger - 35 - 40 thousand dollar car.
When this case first came to light, it was reported that the police broke into the wrong house. that was not true. They had a no knock warrant, but announced their presence, although her neighbors denied hearing that, except for one person.
Breonna was in bed with boyfriend #2, and when the police came in, 32 decided it must be boyfriend #1 (the drug dealer) and opened fire on the police. Saint Breonna walked out into the hallway, a stupid act by any measure, and was shot and killed by the police.
It would seem to me that the black marxists could find better subjects for martyrdom.
The police had a proper warrant. They had a proper target. they were shot at, and properly returned fire. If they are charged, the dimwitted mayor, Fischer, will have harmed the city with his stupid mouth..

The police were acting on an official warrant. In effect, they were doing their job. You cannot possibly, reasonably punish the police for performing their duty. If no-knock warrants are the problem then address the problem.

When you have accepted the lies that Breonna was an innocent angel who was gunned down for no reason you are likely to be pretty pizzed off when the police are found not guilty. The lies on the part of the media sow the seeds of violent retribution, they will have more blood on their hands.
Once again a criminal who's own bad decisions led to their demise at the hands of law enforcement is elevated to serve as an example of racist police hunting down innocent blacks for sport, proving one of two things:
1) Either all blacks are criminals since every time the police bag one they prove to have serious criminal backgrounds
2) The whole thing is a lie

Oh dear. Lots of prep for peaceful protest.
In one of life's huge ironies, the people who resent accusations of being violent with a hair trigger temper don't seem bothered that those making the accusations - in the form of prep for riots - are the very people they voted for.

I grew up being told when you lay with dogs you wake up with fleas. I guess it still holds true.

I'm from Kentucky and have read a lot about the case. Sadly, most of the news comes from the terribly left wing Courier Journal, but the basic facts are that Breonna Taylor had a drug dealer boyfriend and when she split from him, she took up with another drug dealer/thug boyfriend who lived with her. She was a money keeper for both of them. The warrant was for her drug dealer/thug boyfriend and when the police burst in on a no-knock warrant (I don't like those warrants), thug boyfriend started shooting and she got caught in the crossfire. Yes, she was a victim. But she wouldn't have been if she hadn't been hanging out with drug dealers.

No knock warrants aside, sad truth is had she not been shacking up with an active criminal and benefiting from his lifestyle, she would probably be alive today. This isn't a color thing. It's a common sense thing. Plenty of white folks have found out this harsh lesson the hard way too.
