Democrats should use every tool at their disposal to prevent what would be a "monument to hypocrisy" in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., replacing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before November's general election, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton argued Friday. Her comments came just hours after McConnell vowed to hold a vote on President Trump's replacement nominee.“The Democrats who are in the Senate will have to use every single possible maneuver that is available to them to make it clear that they are not going to permit Mitch McConnell to enact the greatest travesty, the monument to hypocrisy

The hypocrisy is not admitting the Democrats wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing or worse if they hadn't lost power in 2016.

Down to basics, Obama filled his responsibility in 2016 to nominate a justice. The senate of 2016 did not consent. All the rest is noise.
In 2020, the president may well fill his responsibility to nominate one (or more!) candidates for the advice and consent of the senate. The senate may or may not consent. All the rest is noise. Lots of noises from meatheads, from failed politicians, from constitutional illiterates...but it is just noise.

By all means let’s keep this seat open just in case Biden wins so it can be filled by a leftist idiot chosen by Kamala Harris and the Squad. God forbid we should offend Hillary Clinton by being ‘hypocrites’.

Democrats would have already had the hearings and voted by now.

So are the "hearings" for a nominee actually required? After the trash the Dems pulled last time I can see them delaying the hearings for six weeks. Easy peasy.

It is not RBG's seat, it is the people's seat that RBG was privileged to occupy for all too many years. She has (posthumously) no more to say about it than I have anything to say about the job I retired from, i.e. , nothing.

The left is absolutely apoplectic about replacing RBG. This tells you all you need to know about how they plan to rule us using the courts and how Trump represents a clear and present danger to their plans.

RBG was a brilliant and accomplished woman. She was also a disgraceful Supreme Court Justice who legislated from the bench in a way our system was never intended to function. I thank God that He has given President Trump an opportunity to right such a grave wrong.

Make the pick and confirm in 21 days - been done before and all that is needed. Trump's list has been out in the public for four years and Dems have had their arguments ready for four years against each one of them. No need to wait. RBG should have quit sooner and this is all on her and the Dems.

Ginsberg used whatever 'brilliance' she had to undermine and attack all that is decent about our nation. She used her mind and talent for evil and I will not thank her for that. She also supported infanticide and I won't thank her for that either. Seems to me that one of the greatest silver linings in the gray clouds overhead right now is the fact that Hildabeest has to live in the same house with Bubba in Westchester. Never has there been two people who deserve each other more.

You really have to dig to find the info, but since 1900 the average amount of time to confirm a Supreme Court judge has been 25 days. Roberts was confirmed in 19 days. You will NEVER find this info in the MSM 'news' or 24/7 talking point propaganda - https://www.thoughtco.com/confirming-u-s-supreme-court-nominees-3879361

Hillary is so crooked that we can all discern the true path forward by doing the exact opposite of what she recommends.
Trump should nominate a genuinely 'Constitutional' nominee, the Senate should vet and confirm him/her, and then Trump should invoke the Insurrection Act on Nov 4th, both to quell any riots, and to confiscate and destroy every mail--in or 'absentee' ballot not already in a voting box.

Don't forget that the plan in 2016 was for Justice Ginsburg was to retire after Hillary was the one doing the selection, even Obama wasn't left enough for them. They lost the bet, now pay up.
Loved the chant last night "Fill The Seat! "

This would not be a good seat for Hillary. She would have a hard time selling her Supreme Court rulings like she could sell Secretary of State, Senator, POTUS, VP, or even wife of Arkansas Attorney General. She might buy cattle futures and actually lose money.
Which reminds me of a question I've always had. She bought 1k$ of cattle futures and supposedly manipulated them for 18 months and turned them into 100k$. 100 to 1 return in 18 months. So why did she stop? Another 18 months and she would have had 10 million. Yet another 18 months and she would had a billion. Another 18 months and she would have been by far the richest person on earth in 1982 and cement that title for at least another 50 years.

No, honey. The guilt trip won't work. We aren't "Romney Republicans" anymore.
Politics means doing stuff that makes our side win and your side lose. Period.
And guess what? We learned that from you! Kind of like how you sometimes try to drive a wedge between us and Trump by pointing out his billionaire playboy lifestyle and saying how not Christian it is?
Guess what? We know! We don't care! Politics us about winning, not values signaling.

#18, I have no ability to do the mental ju jitsu that you do between your first sentence and the rest of your comment. To me, either the first part is true and the second part is not, or the second part is true and the first part is not. In my world, the two concepts are entirely in opposition.

Wasn't Hillary the woman who married that horndog from Arkansas and couldn't keep him satisfied? I think she also stole a few dollars and failed a couple of bar exams but she did learn a little about computers along the way.

The PIAPS has more power still than we'd like to admit. I know the logistics would be daunting, but can't we arrange to drop holy water on her from a helicopter or something? It's the only way to be sure.
