A black male walked into a Louisville bar owned by a retired police officer and shot three random people at point blank range on Friday night — while wearing a Justice for Breonna Taylor shirt. The suspect was smiling from ear to ear as he was arrested for the shooting at Bungalow Joe’s Bar and Grill.Michael E. Rhynes Jr., 33, was arrested just after midnight Saturday after police found him crawling in brush near the restaurant, according to a report from WDRB. The shooter was wearing a “Justice for Breonna Taylor” t-shirt. Naturally, the national media has completely ignored this story

He should have died right there. These are not times to be out of your home unarmed, ever.
In many states, it is illegal to exercise your CCW license either in a bar, or while drinking alcohol. One must consider that laws are important to follow, and should not be broken frivolously. However, there is a saying among armed men that I know, " Better judged by twelve than carried by six." The origin was in the years before it was legal to get a CCW permit in most states and some good citizens chose to go armed illegally and be exposed to possible legal jeopardy if they had to defend themselves. I think that same consideration may apply here.
Of course, there is real risk in drinking and impairing your judgement while being armed, which is why the 'no drinking and CCW' law or rule is a good idea. I have been the designated driver a number of times, since I don't drink alcohol, so that may apply. Or the bouncer needs to be armed.

I agree with most of what #5 says. If KY doesn't allow concealed carry in a bar, he bouncer or bartender needs to be armed. The dems are playing for real and are encouraging their deranged base to get rid of as many normal people as they can.
Beware and be safe.

#5 is corect. I don't know about Kentucky but in Georgia you can carry in a bar as long as you are not drinking. I have been the "designated carrier" that way a couple of times.

If the death penalty is administered quickly and reported widely, it might deter others from hate killings

I am just suspicious of these monsters and their sick behavior . I am inclined to believe most of these terrorists in our country are on drugs most of the time. Their behavior isn’t logical but hateful and driven. Anyone else think that drugs, powerful ones are behind Antifa, BLM, etc.? I’ve felt this way from the beginning of this when I saw how some of these creatures acted physically. They acted insane.

Constitutional carry should be allowed in all 50 states. If you're not in jail or prison you should be able to carry. Bu .. bu ... but. That means felons can carry. Well, there's a big difference between a murder felon, who shouldn't be out the street to begin with, and an embezzlement felon. Recall, Dinesh D'souza is a felon for trumped up charges for campaign donations. Should he not be able to defend himself?

This was clearly a message to any of the SCOTUS nominees that any of the multiple death threats that they or their family members will receive could be real. Nominees need to be moved with their family to a military base or other federally secured location before the President announces their name. They can not rely on local law enforcement to protect their lives. We need to treat this like Federal witness protection for people testifying against organized crime (which it is).

On one hand I tend to agree with #12, on the other hand, constitutional carry means no licensing or permitting process, the most important part being a practical requirement to demonstrate knowledge, training and proficiency in actually using your firearm. So in constitutional carry states you can potentially have a bunch of armed citizens walking around with no idea how to safely handle and/or use their firearms. That is potentially dangerous for all of us, including LTC holders like me.
You can constitutionally carry long guns in several states, but those same states have licensing requirements for handguns. Kind of a complicated issue, but I hear what you're saying.

#11. you underestimate the hatred that can exist, does exist, in many entirely drug free minds. Perhaps drugs help knock down mental barriers to doing crime in some, but there are many who are legitimate sociopaths. This is a technical term which means, basically, that they have zero empathy for other humans, and have no internal barriers (which are normally called conscience) about killing people. Others have very minimal mental barriers, easily overcome by political motivations such as the Ben Carson mob rallying cry that "all police are bad" and that "black men are being hunted down by police or whites". The
facts show otherwise, but when the Enemedia and wealthy sports stars continuously say that these things are true, the weak minded believe it. And those with minimal internal barriers to violence, will commit violence "in retribution" for things that are not real.
Be armed, be able to defend yourself and your family, always.

Kentucky is a great state but Louisville is a shathole of a city. It's what happens with dem mayors continuously since 1969. Take the bypass and avoid the whole damned town!

Hi #17. Do you have to get a license or permit to post on the internet or practice your religion or lobby your legislature or peacefully protest ... all of which fall under the 1st Amendment? If not, why are there restrictions put on the 2nd Amendment?

# 12.....no, you do not have to get a license or permit to post on the internet or practice your religion. On the other hand, those activities do not involve carrying lethal force on your hip, with the possibility of accidentally (or intentionally) killing someone.
I'm all in on the 2nd amendment. I'm just saying if you're going to carry, be sure to know something about your firearm and how to safely carry it, and if necessary, use it. I'm not sure how to assure that other than some type of training/certification.

#17, your expressed concern is a legetimate one to put up for consideration.
However, I researched the matter a few years back by comparing firearms accidental shooting numbers between a number of states. I selected stares with 16 hours of training required, 8 hours of training required and states with no training. Multiples of each
There was no difference in accidental shootings that would correlate with training levels required for the CCW license. The no training states were not more likely to have accidental shootings.
After decades of working the CCW politics, studying the statistics from many states over many years, the most outstanding thing which you learn is that Americans who choose to go armed legally are extraordinarily committed to being safe and sane. Most who get no officially mandated training will get either training from a professional, or from an NRA certified instructor. I have always been impressed by the diligence and sincere interest in safety that I have had in all my handgun class students.
The left spends a lot of time selling the idea that all your neighbors are dangerous lunatics, on the verge of murder for anything, but the reality is that the overwhelming majority of them are good people. The problems come from foolishly extending this to imagine that there are no violent criminals out there.
Violent criminals are real, but fortunately pretty rare.
