Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski said in an interview that she wouldn’t vote to confirm a Supreme Court nominee ahead of the election, just hours before news broke that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died.
Speaking to Alaska Public Media during an interview on an unrelated topic, Murkowski referenced the position she took when former President Barack Obama nominated Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court in March 2016. Then, she supported Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s refusal to take action on Garland’s nomination.

The good news is that even if you wait, it's still one less vote for the other side. The pressure should be on Roberts if anybody. I'm sure that Trump will use the timing to his advantage. Maybe get the Rona off the front pages for awhile.

I think some republicans still think that democrats are honorable people, And that they want what’s good for the American people. But that’s not true, if it’s ever was.

Murko, don't forget about that sworn oath you took to defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Being responsible for putting the country into a constitutional crisis after the election because of refusing to vote to confirm will haunt you for the rest of your life. Thanks to Robets, the very last thing we need on November 4th is a 4 - 4 SCOTUS.
Leader McConnell, get this broad under control...fast.

Remind me again how great it is to have these moderate electable Republicans? Because we need them for critical swing votes, right?
And Palin was the problem....

If the Presidential election is undermined as expected by the Democrats and swing state lawsuits challenging Trump's election end up before the SCOTUS a 4-4 split will result in taking away the very thing that Murkowski thinks she is defending, the choice of the people. The election will be taken over by a "bi-partisan" commission of former Obama loyalists and NeverTrump Republicans who will "fairly" decide what is best for the country. History will remember who the cowards were when the time came to defend the republic.

Pls correct me if I’m wrong.
But the gentle lady from Alaska seems to be devoid of brains or principles. And seems forever to be so insecure, she must shift the focus to her imagined importance.

Alaska's senator has to be shoved off her high horse! She's getting attention for herself, and in my opinion, it's not good attention.

This aims to persuade people that the Senator had decided before the Justice died. I'm betting this just means the Senator found out before the news was made public for the rest of us.

As usual, she goes AWOL from her Senatorial duty according to the Constitution. Why did she even take the oath of office only to repeatedly refuse to fulfill it?

Maybe she’ll come around after realizing Sen. Cruz’s point: a full court will be needed for the legal challenges after the election.

Does anybody here remember the details of Murky's re-election? Seems like there was some crooked dealing that went on to get her in, after she had lost the primary, IIRC.

The GOP Did Primary her out, and she won anyways as a write in. All Democrats plus some Republicans and ... splat. She has never won the majority vote. Last time %44. Alaska is a Red State and this fraud will be up in 2 years. She will need to pick a side or retire.

Hours before, huh? Being the undercover democrat that she is, she was probably privy to the fact that Ruthie died weeks ago. The Ginsburg robot must have needed extensive repair, so they had to come out with the truth that she died. Lisa got "fast," as my granny used to say.
