The Rev. Franklin Graham plans to lead a prayer march in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 26, saying the only hope for the United States is God. Asked what prompted him to call for this event, Graham told The Western Journal, “I think the chaos we see in our country. The anarchy that we see in our streets.”(Snip) “And it seems like our country is out of control, and I feel that the only hope for our country is God,” Graham said.(Snip)The Christian argued the efforts of politicians and educators to keep God out of the nation’s affairs and mock people of faith

Comments:

The two-hour event will commence at noon Eastern Time at the Lincoln Memorial; stops include the U.S. Capitol, World War II Memorial, Washington Monument, White House, National Museum of African American History, and National Archives. Each location will have a special prayer focal point and the event will be livestreamed.

People of faith are aware of what is happening in our land and are reminded of another passage from Scripture: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

I'm fine with this. But the wresting that's going on right now is also very much with flesh and blood. This is now a physical fight with people who want to riot until our country is in ruins. If prayer alone helps dissuade them from doing that, I'm all for it. If not, then we need to praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition.

Meghan Markle publicly stepped out with Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton on Saturday to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. The four were photographed viewing a massive sea of floral tributes laid outside Windsor Castle in honor of the late monarch. After years of legal wrangling, Oberlin College has announced that, following the Ohio Supreme Court’s decision not to hear its appeal, it is beginning the process of paying in full the judgment against it for libeling Gibson’s Bakery and promoting a boycott. William A. OBERLIN - The crowd milling around outside Gibson’s Bakery at midday Wednesday wasn’t there to protest. It was there to spend, spend, spend in hopes of keeping the 137-year-old business alive. “We didn’t want people to think we were demonstrating or rallying or anything like that,” said Mike Bokulich, a Navy veteran and founding member of the Lunch Bunch. In the past two years, the group has traveled to more than 90 restaurants around Lorain County and just outside its borders.[Snip]“We want to help Allyn and his mother. They’re slaving up there in the bakery…sweating like mad, trying to keep the business afloat,” Bokulich said.

A federal judge in Florida has granted Donald Trump's request to have a special master review the documents seized during the raid on Mar-a-Lago – granting a key demand of the former president and tapping the breaks on the government's investigation. Judge Aileen Cannon approved Trump's motion to appoint a special master 'to review the seized property for personal items and documents and potentially privileged material subject to claims of attorney client and/or executive privilege.' [Snip] That grants Trump and his legal team a side benefit of stalling the fast-moving proceedings that have unfolded since the August 8 FBI search of Mar-a-Lago.

Oberlin College was shocked when it found out the Catholic-run health agency it chose to outsource for student health services is…Catholic. It’s always Oberlin College. Why is it always Oberlin College!? The Catholic Church urges natural family planning (which, after the experience, is relatively easy!) instead of artificial birth control. That includes birth control pills and tubal ligation (tying the fallopian tubes to stop ovulation).(Snip)...I find it impossible for people not to know the Church’s teaching on abortion, artificial birth control, sex, pregnancy, and gender.(Snip)NPR and Oberlin College ruin their argument by including the “workaround” portion in the article.

Scientists say a few decades from now, downtown Miami will be underwater. There has been a creeping meme among some Republican voters indicating that they will refuse to vote because they are fed up with congressional Republicans. They are telling everyone who will listen how horrible congressional Republicans are and are asking, "Why vote when our representatives do nothing and get nothing done?" People who advocate not voting are advocating surrender to the leftist mob and surrender to Democrats who have ruined a perfectly good country. They are recommending surrender to the leftists who are persecuting Republican conservatives. There is no other way to read this: If you won't vote, you turn the reins of what power you have over to Democrats.

Rome—Pope Francis urged Westerners to be more open to immigration Thursday, insisting that it is a necessary antidote to the West’s “demographic winter.” In forgetting how to welcome migrants, the West lost much, because it “needs people,” the pontiff told reporters during his return flight from Kazakhstan to Rome. Especially considering the “demographic winter,” which is so evident in Spain and Italy. “In Italy there are empty villages with just twenty old ladies and nothing else,” he said. “Why can’t we make a policy in the West where immigrants are included with the principle that the migrant should be welcomed, accompanied, promoted, and integrated?” he asked.
