The Trump Campaign laid down a huge marker for the final 50 days leading up to Election Day — voters can embrace the patriotic history that focuses on 1776 and what came after, or 1619 and what the New York Times says should be important.
There is little subtlety in framing the issue as follows:
Critical race theory, the 1619 Project, and the crusade against American history is toxic propaganda, ideological poison that, if not removed, will dissolve the civic bonds that tie us together. It will destroy our country.

President Trump is right to promote this. Our weak political class have allowed the democrats and their toxic philosophy to run rampant in our schools and in the country at large. We are not the villains the left has tried to portray us to be. They are creating a narrative that the United States is bad, irredeemable unless we embrace their liberal ideology. Thankfully, we have a President that is pushing back. My question is where have our political leaders been? This 1619 Project did not spring up by itself. How does evil prosper? When good men do nothing!

It's about time. Hold back federal funds to schools that do not teach the "1776".

1619 = liberals
1776 = conservatives
The libs dwell on negativity, revisionist history, and convince people to feel despair
Conservatives recognize the hope, triumph, endurance and putting it all on the line for Life & Liberty. The birth of a new Nation, that was created by We the People.
The difference is stark. Who could ever be opposed to Liberty? Libs. You will never hear them mention the word.

The whole damn school system needs to be overhauled, what their teaching kids now is beyond bizarre. White privilege this and that, make the white kids in school feel ashamed, kill off the family nucleus, blame their parents, purely Communistic in nature. Public schools have done serious damage to this country it must stop NOW.

Robert Woodson gets it. Minority families thrive when there is a father and mother lovingly raising the children at home and in church. Education is key as well. There is no reason for anger and victimhood. I support this group with my checkbook! Encourage others to do the same.

Political Correctness has flourished in this country because we let it. It always starts by poisoning young minds. Republicans running for office have their work cut out for them. They better toughen up and learn how to fight and kick the backsides of progressive Democrats.
What we've been observing this year on the streets is the result of decades long PC infiltration which was germinated in our
public schools.
In fact, we should make it a requirement in order to graduate high school, the students pass the same test given to become an American citizen. Also, to spend one year of high school in the service of our country to learn discipline, and important life skills. In doing so, they will be awarded college credits that will be applied toward a degree. When I hear Democrats spew free college tuition I laugh at their stupidity. Nothing that has value should be free. It should be earned and revered. Right now, many of our colleges are borderline rip-offs and institutions of racketeering parading as higher education.

The whole premise of the 1619 Project is easily refuted. And I don't just mean based on the already pointed out histrorical inaccuracies which have been admitted by the author. I'm talking about the fact that subsequent to whatever the culture and common practices of the country were in 1619, the nation created a constitution that specifically made it official national policy that "all men are created equal" in the late 1700's, and furthermore, fought a horrific civil war in the 1860's to rid itself of slavery. The "original sin" concept is absurd on its face. As is the assertion of modern day "system racism."

CRT on it's face is 'racism'. It's so slanted in it's direction that it excludes one race and promotes another. It's fakery on it's own and canceling on the other half. Stupidity and balderdash.

To teach the younguns about slavery in America there is the necessity to talk of bond servants-white Irish the largest group. Sugar plantations in Barbados used the bond servants and barely fed them. Blacks brought there by the Dutch who has been using them in Brazil. The first slave holder in 1619 in Virginia was a black freedman. A story as old as time?

Right on!!!.... When I pulled my children out of the public school system.... I was amazed at the good Catholic curriculum versus the public school system... so I want to thank the dictatorial politicians who forced busing down Chicago's throat... it saved my kids from mediocre lives to very accomplished lives....

I'll settle for accurate American history. That would end up being patriotic history. The America haters are currently in charge of our system of education, K-16+. If you look closely you see that these are often alienated people who are desperately trying to be part of something (as Eric Hoffer explained), not-very-imaginative people who want to glom onto whatever appears trendy and current and makes them look hip, and traditional leftist malcontents who know nothing about history but long for a world in which they will be seen as important.

By teaching the 1619 Project in public schools the left have crafted a test of what Trump Republicans truly believe, and it's not a bad one at that. One of the issues we Trump Republicans have stood on is local control of education, Washington DC out of our schools. Get rid of No Child Left Behind, Common Core, perhaps even the DOE itself. But what happens when local schools decide to teach anti-American propaganda and lies in their schools? Uh oh.
This is the test of what we TRULY believe. Do we do what Republicans have done in the past and become ideologues? Do we mindlessly stand on our "principles" as absolutes? Do we let the left force us to kill America rather than relent on "principles"? Or do we do what got us here in the first place, and rely on the COMMON SENSE God gave us above all else?
"Washington out of education" is not an absolute. It is a guide. And when necessary, we abandon it for the sake of other things more important. So, yeah, a federal 1776 Commission to combat 1619 lies. Have at it, Mr. President.

YES!!! the only adult in the room has finally spoken and has made sense out of the chaos that the democrats purport to submit as truth. DJT has taken the temperature of this country and with four more years he will change the social system that will last for as long as the democrat communist party is not allowed to be present in the social arena. they are irrelevant but haven't gotten the message yet.

Trump would be correct if he decided to defund the universities and high schools that that teach nothing worthwhile and use the money to refund the police. The millennials could then go to trade school and actually learn a skill that would take them off the public dole.

My wife and I have been remote teaching our second grade grandson while the teachers quiver in fear and refuse to return to their classrooms until COVID-19 is totally eradicated. On a positive note we are getting an insight into the Common Core curriculum the public schools in California. One thing we noticed is the lack of a history or social studies component in the curriculum. I guess we're lucky because we haven't seen any Black Lives Matter material being handed out, yet. I would encourage parents to pay close attention to what is being taught to their children in the public school system if private school isn't an option.
